thank you so much for this important video... this is Lama Jigme's secretary commenting on his behalf... because YOU told him to delegate.... hur rumph
Relevant skills!! Love your tip on who you should be delegating too. It is true that you can't just delegate to the person who has the lightest schedule because they might not have the right skill set to handle the task (and you may end up just handling the task yourself at a later date if it doesn't turn out well). Also loved the tip about showing appreciation for a job well done. A little appreciation goes a long way.
A little appreciation truly does go a long way, especially when it's a task you've delegated to someone else. It's very important to delegate to someone who is up to the task. Thanks for watching this video on my delegation tips! Cheers!
I can easily apply these delegating tips to the work I do with my organizing clients. It's so important to delegate a task to the right person with the needed skill set! Great tips for those working on their delegation skills.
Stacey, I'm so glad these delegating tips will be practical and easy for you to apply with your clients! Identifying the right person for the task makes all the difference. The goal is always to be as productive as possible! Cheers!

Thanks for watching! Yes, you don't want to overload your high performers but it's still important to delegate to someone who can accomplish the task successfully. Do you delegate often in the work you do?
I need to get comfortable with delegating. I am a person that likes to do things myself because I like things a certain way. But it is very true as you stated I cannot do it all. I will start with an assessment of what I'm doing to identify what I can stop or what I need to delegate.
Angela, that is the perfect place to start. You will find that once you figure out how to delegate effectively it will become second nature. Thanks for watching, cheers!
This video is gold! I truly believe delegation is one of the most important skills of being an effective manager. I always had weekly 1:1s with my team so we always were able to circle back on all assigned tasks for that week. I love your post-it note tip!
Delegation is truly such an important skill! It's so great that you have weekly "checkups" with your team members to ensure all is well. The post-it note is a simple but sure way to encourage someone. Do you often delegate tasks when preparing your vacation rental for new visitors?
Delgeating is often so hard when you start but such a great way to move forward. Love the topics you cover ... They give such a real and doable, tangable way for people to move forward and grow and keep clear! I have to say.. I find it hard because EVEN when I communicate things, people still sometimes do something I ask them not to do because they are smart. !! LOL I tell people... hey.. please, we already have tried everything, please if you have an idea, ask first. We may have already tried it! I always do what i call the 'grunt work' myself first and then pass it along! LOL ... great video Adriana!

I know it can be difficult when people don't listen even after you've communicated but this is why I often say to OVER communicate.
