Man.. if only Jerry Reed and Burt Reynolds were around to see this beaut! I know you’re not done yet but thanks for taking us along on this journey with ya. You’d have probably been done by now if you didn’t take the time to record and edit all of your vidjeos. Thanks for all your hard work Mark!!
Don’t be to hard on yourself for simple mistakes! You’re definitely not an idiot and honestly anyone who’s willing to step so far out of their comfort zone and do things they’ve never done before while learning a very complicated piece of machinery and industry! You’re doing more bringing people up to speed and interest in these old trucks than any expert! I’m a 4th generation driver and been around them all of my life and because of you I’m tackling my own project truck now! Thanks love the channel keep up the good work!
Mark you should wire a 30 amp relay to that solenoid with a fuse to the ignition side of the relay. The fuel solenoid draws alot current eventually it will blow a fuse if you just wire it the way you did.
G'day Mark, Mate back in the seventies 70s my handle was "Cannon Ball" & back then I did the east coast run, over night from Melbourne to Sydney & return the next night. Now that I'm kicking back & just touring the Outback my handle now is "Aussie Drifter", the truck is looking real good & it brings back good memories for me from days gone by. Keep The Rubber Side Down Mate, Steve.
Your enthusiasm and never die spirit is infectious. So happy to see Snowman on the prowl. And you’ll never put an air cleaner canister in backwards again. Lessons learned by failure are lessons that’ll always keep.
WOW JUST WOW! Its hard to believe this was started out in the cold with no shop at all! What an amazing job and just shows the if you are dedicated to something you can do whatever it takes to get completed.
“Empty pockets” is my handle since I was a kid. Years later I’m wondering if I should have picked something different. Your smile and happy man giggles say it all
Jerry Reed is smiling down at you and saying "Well Son" (think how Jerry said that after Burt pulled the Trans Am outta the truck) "the Snowman Rides Again" Been watching since you first bought that old KW Damn fine job it looks awesome 👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats on the first drive! I don't comment often, but I've watched every video of this build! Absolutely love how Snowman turned out! That's a dream truck for a lot of fellers including this one. It's awesome to see your dedication to building the best truck you can and I can't wait to see it with the trailer behind it!
Congratulations Mark, she’s an absolute beauty!! So much time and hard work that you’ve put in was worth it for that smile. You must be super proud at what you’ve accomplished. And let’s not forget the awesome Mrs Twinsticks for her support in allowing you to chase your dreams 👍🏼
I have to congratulate you on a fantastic looking build mark! She looks fantastic. You should be very proud of your accomplishments with all your trucks. But this one is the pride of the fleet. Hope to see you out there next year at a show to meet in person. Again, great job. I absolutely enjoy your Chanel and after 37 years of driving, it takes a Chanel like this to remind me how much I enjoy old trucks.
Congratulations Mark on a job well done. My old handle on the CB was screamineagle, I had an 81 International Eagle that had the old silver 92 Detroit, (screamin jimmy) with a 15 speed overdrive in it.
Congratulations Mark, it looks absolutely amazing. Wouldn’t worry about the air filters, everyone makes schoolboy errors once in awhile. A little bit of fettling will have her running beautifully.
Hey Mark, one word.."AWESOME"!!!..to see her rollin' but more awesome to see that smile and to hear that chuckle. So overjoyed to see your accomplishments..👍👍👍. If we aren't making mistakes just what are we doing cause no one's perfect (air filters). It's said that scars build character and I say mistakes bring wisdom!! Don't be so hard on yourself, you've accomplished more in a short time than most people accomplish in a lifetime. Take care and keep going! Your successes bring us joy, at least for us old guys...lol.
Love the pride Mark, well done with the timely consultations to get Snowman cranking up under its own power and rollin . 30amp fuse previous commentor made is money well spent, also buy a package of fuses for each truck you won't regret it, and it's mandatory. Enjoy the rest of your restoration especially the finish line. Best Regards from Arizona, GERONIMO'S MINUTEMEN EXPRESS
You know Mark, I would keep in mind when the snow comes, and that front axle tire hits an elevated surface your gonna be that much higher and possibly hit your roll up door, just my thoughts as I watched closely how the tip of the exhaust is to the bottom of door edge. really great to see this on the road, good on you. great job.
Having followed your journey with this truck from the day you brought it home, I am sitting here grinning like an idiot and so excited for you! What a great accomplishment!
She still needs a bit of work, but the work never stops on these old rig. Over all congrats. Your smile says it all, I am proud of how far you have come.
I remember right out of high school my first job was a commercial truck mechanic. Don’t feel bad pal I installed a filter backwards aswell, lol man it took along time for that to get let down. Laughing and learning. This has got to be one of the raddest builds thanks for bringing us along.
I’m not sure it is movie correct or not, but that diagonal mirror arm brace should be turned the other direction (down at the bottom and facing up at the outside). That way they properly support the mirror by helping “hold it up”. The build looks awesome.
It shouldn't matter either way, it's providing structural triangulation. They way he has it it's acting as a tie, put it your way it's acting as a strut, still doing its job.
Beautiful work... Yep, I had to laugh at the air filters (only because we all do silly things like that from time to time lol)... She sounds happy! Love the way the old split-rings cleaned up... I had another good laugh when you discovered the joys of spring ride! This brings back some good (and some bad lol) old memories, for I remember driving some of the older trucks. You would have laughed at me the other day for trying to split a 9-speed (probably been 20 years since I've driven anything but 13's and 18's) that has a splitter for the lows and reverse, so we all have those days. Have fun with the old girl! Thanks for sharing the project with all of us. :)
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS 🍾🎉 Brother Mark, I’ve been followin The Snowman ⛄️ build sense ya brought him home 🏡…. When ya were tryin to get him in gear, reminded me of Jerry at the end in the outtakes.. “Get in there ya silly Son of a Bit(#” LMAO 🤣 😂
Congrats Mark! It´s a great feeling to drive a project for the first time. The truck looks awesome! I think the suspension is getting a lot better once you hook the truck to the trailer.
Hi Mark, I'm not sure if you've mentioned this before but I noticed in that clip of the movie you put at the beginning of this episode there's what looks like a step on the bottom of the sleeper, are you planning on adding one to snowman? Thanks for sharing your projects with us, I've been watching since LBL and I've been enjoying your journey and seeing these old truck come back to life. Have a great day and I hope you're doing well : )
Proud to have seen you build her back up...Making a southern man smile is a hard thing to do you know....I watch the movies when I was a kid...was one of my all time favorite movies.
It's one beautiful truck and it's moving again. It's a amazing how got the trucks moving first Little By Little and now Snowman. Awesome video by the way.
Hats off to you Mark, you look great sitting behind the wheel of Snowman, and the truck looks great. Now go have a colors, and pat yourself on the back for a job well done!!
Wooooooooo hooooo morning Mark...and the Twinsticks garage family....every Thursday is like Christmas 10-4...when I open my phone and unwrap my present...from Twinsticks garage...y'all are awesome... happy holidays y'all ..oh BTW love Roger Miller and my handle is "catfish"..lol ..hey the horn towards the end sounded just like the one in the movie too btw .. very 👍 nice 👍 SALUTE 🇨🇦❤️✝️🇺🇸👊
Happy to see it rolling again. Just remember, the stacks may fit now but once snow on the ground they may hit. Seen so may 4x4 lifted that "just fit" until winter, then they either scrape up the roof or scalp it.
For up to date suspension tutorials I recommend looking at the series of Hendrickson videos covering all the many modern innovations that have evolved over the years. Just watched one on ZMD or Zero Maintenance Damping for trailers. Just incredible how this new system makes a trailer ride so smooth it is like not even being there. Brilliant. You could be forgiven for updating the KW suspension.
Mark:. Love your videos! Don't sell the Cummins short. 40 years driving, and the N14 made me a lot of money. Keep up the great work. Harleyhat back at you.
Very nice looking ride!!! She's coming along beautifully. And my handle was "Blindside." It was given to my by the other drivers at my OTR trucking company when I was a brand new driver. Dispatch kept giving me difficult loads that involved blindside backing and a lot of Chicago stops. I was able to get all of the runs done with no issues and my handle was born. I sometimes miss those days but left the road to start a family. Now I work for MNDOT plowing and maintaining the highways.
Congrats Mark. I think your smile at the end was larger than your first trip with "Little by Little". Watching you spinning the wheel with that slow box, shuttering over bumps, sure brings back memories. Seeing a couple mistakes you overcame, just a reminder to everyone. We are always learning, something. Can't wait for you to take the cabover out for a ride, and drop off onto the right shoulder a few times. After driving those 'hoods'. (a hint) Those that know, they know what i'm saying. All in all Mark. Great job ! Fantastic wife. "TRANSIENT"

Mark you should wire a 30 amp relay to that solenoid with a fuse to the ignition side of the relay. The fuel solenoid draws alot current eventually it will blow a fuse if you just wire it the way you did.
I would locate the OEM wire and correct any issue and be done with it.

Love the brutal honesty, it’s what keeps me watching. If anything you’re showing people they’re alone in making mistakes. Well done Mark!
WOW JUST WOW! Its hard to believe this was started out in the cold with no shop at all! What an amazing job and just shows the if you are dedicated to something you can do whatever it takes to get completed.

Caught myself grinning ear to ear on your ride along! So awesome Mark! Thanks for letting us come along.

Best thing about this channel is that you don't hide your mistakes. Thanks for being honest
Congratulations Mark, it looks absolutely amazing. Wouldn’t worry about the air filters, everyone makes schoolboy errors once in awhile. A little bit of fettling will have her running beautifully.

We got a runner!!! Looks great and awesome to see it up and running. Really nice job.

Always enjoy the look on someone's face when they take that first drive. Truck's looking great, can't wait to see more of the Duke.
Hey Mark, check the front of the rig for level. It looks like Passenger side is riding higher than Driver.
Watching the progress and seeing the satisfaction of the first drive is amazing!! Love watching!

Such a joy to see the Bandits try finally going Mark. If you could see the big smile on my face, the moment you hunk the horn. Aahh man.

Amazing work! Now you have to do the Mack from the film CONVOY!
