Algae contains analog B12 that actually competes with your inner supply of B12 and empties body's supply more rapidly
spirulina contains analog b12, meaning our body cannot actually process it...just by the way:)
I agree LavishLife!! Thanks for your comment!! People shouldn't be putting incorrect information on RUclips, as some people take it into account and it can really defect their health.
What about chlorella?
how it different from getting vitamin b12 from a fish that eats sea vegetables
Most algues contain B12 analogs. Those can actually lower your B12.
B12 source:white substance (yeast) on grapes, seaweeds nutritional yeast, aloe vera ... God gave many ways we can have the original no-animal diet and be healthy....some food for thought
Those don’t work. Best to take supplements made from soil. All of the ways you described have been tried many times with bad results
Right
Isn't nutritional yeast just yeast with B12 added?
Ruminants are mammals that are able to acquire nutrients from plant-based food by fermenting it in a specialized stomach prior to digestion, principally through microbial actions. The process, which takes place in the front part of the digestion system and therefore is called foregut fermentation, typically requires the fermented ingesta (known as cud) to be regurgitated and chewed again. The process of rechewing the cud to further break down plant matter and stimulate digestion is called rumination. The word "ruminant" comes from the Latin ruminare, which means "to chew over again". The roughly 200 species of living ruminants include both domestic and wild species.Ruminating mammals include cattle, goats, sheep, giraffes, yaks, deer, antelope, and some macropods (kangaroos). These animals produce vitamin b 12 which comes from soil that we don’t have a special stomach to process. I love how people don’t know where b12 comes from and how they just avoid the fact that b12 is probably the most important part of your nutrition.
B12 In Traditional Plant Foods Is Higher Than You Think

Mic the Vegan
The science on B12 in plants surprised me so much that I was forced to make a video out of it! Let's look at nori, kombucha, lesser known drinks, African bean balls, analogs, and more but keep supplementing!
Are you certain about blue/green algae being a source of B12? I ask because my understanding, at one time, was that it actually contains a B vitamin analog that is not as bio available or as active as B12.
Great vid Olga! There are so many myths on the deficiencies a vegan encounters and your videos are helping me & other people get closer to this health style and become more aware of the pros & contras. Thank you :*
thank you so much girls. These tips you are sharing with us are really helpful :)
Great info!!
If I went the supplement route, have you heard and if so, would you recommend the brand "Spring Valley" as a good source of vitamin B12? I purchased it before watching your video, and now I'm wondering, since I don't see anywhere on the label "whole food based", how to evaluate its quality.
Great video! Very useful, love your videos :D
Thank you Liz! :)
B12 is abundantly present in water kefir
I'll try.. ty
Thank you!
Thank you.😁❤️
40 percent of America is B12 deficient
Only 2 percent is vegetarian/vegan
I have a great suggestion. Vegan cupcake recipe for valentines! Or just a cupcake recipe in general. :D
Only fresh algues like fresh Nori or Dulse can serve good amounts of B12. The drying process turns most of it into B12 analogs that can actually lower your B12. Raw Nori from stores is neutral, dried slightly lowering, only fresh Nori is useful, but yet mostly not available, cause not many people know this...
Many scientific papers have been published and even the microorganisms in fresh seaweed have not been found reliable.
Fermented rice and raggi are best used B 12 foods in India as they are probiotic foods and they produce B 12
I am eating everyday fermented rice and my B 12 is now 700.
I've recently bought this substitute for beef and it's called morning star grilling crumble it's soo good 🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏
moni4eva1 read the long list of ingredient additives. I wrote Kellogg’s , who bought the original health food company/manufacturer, years ago and asked them to get out of the health foods business because they adulterated the recipe with harmful additives...
can you do what i eat in a day / week video??
LOVE IT
Nutritional yeast guys!!!
nutritional yeast and marmite are both fortified, they had b12 added. might as well just take the supplement.
Most plant milks, now contain B12 over 40% of your RDA
Olga, your hair is so long, I can never get my hair that long and look healthy!! You should share your secrets!! :)
^^ This! Please!
I'm Certain They can absorb b12 from chlorella algae 👌🏻👌🏻
@Paul Daystar did you find some more sources?
did you find some more sources?
The animals themselves get the b12 from the soil itself as well!
They get cobalt from the soil. The bacteria in their gut make b12 of it ☺️
What is a great quality brand of Spirulina ?
Megafood is the best trusted company for supplements. They cured my anemia. Anemia is blood the next phase of anemia if not treated then progresses to bone arthritis, osteoarthritis, MS then cancer because the missing ingredient is the same. I'v had them all!
Doesn't B12 also come from homemade kumbucha? I have been making my own for months.
+David Bruce Not enough b vitamin to make a difference. I'm told that sauerkraut contains b12, especially when it's allowed to ferment for 6 to 8 weeks. However, I won't take a chance with b12 so I just supplement.
Is nutritional yeast vegan? Because it contains B12 and I hear of some vegans using it.
Yes it's vegan!
great video
You can Talk about shiitake mushroom & b12
My understanding is that humans are unable to absorb b12 from mushrooms
Wait, how do the animals get it?
You guys didn’t say nothing about the topic.
No, it’s best to get your b12 source from the soil. There are vegan b12 supplements made from the b12 found in dirt. Most herbivores get their b12 from the dirt they eat while consuming plants
I eat dirt almost every day, that's why they call me Joe Dirt...I'm famous.
u need to eat a whole bowl of soil to get enough b12 that way
@First Fruits Ministries are you being sarcastic or are you just extremely joyful? or really high? :p
Is potato and broccoli a superfood 😳
Teshia doesn't even look like she eats. I hesitate to take any of her advice.
If she were fat you would have said the same thing. She's vegan, that's what her natural body is supposed to look like. I'm 6'5" I am 214 lbs. all muscle 10% fat. I eat all vegan. People ask me if I ever eat. You seem to live in the world of fat is good and happy thin is bad. There will always be people mocking those who do good for themselves.
Edwin Rivera couldn't agree more!!
I guess it might have sounded like my general feelings on thin people are negative but her appearance genuinely concerned me. I'm a vegetarian and thin as well and get asked if i eat. But I'm not virtually skin and bones. I guess to each his own
We all have different body frames. That's the beauty of being human.
Seamoss? Maca root? Dulce seaweed? 👁🌍❄️
Vegemite!!!
no dose mentioned???? ergo no help
what is wrong with synthetic vitamins?
+happypit Nothing at all. In fact, there have been several studies performed on the b12 from algae and it has been determined that it is not a form of b12 that our bodies can metabolize. There's no such thing as a whole food version of b12 that our bodies can use. I take a methylcobalamin b12 and it's what I have been taking for years.
@@rawmark can you reference some studies on methycobalmin
Carnivore diet has entered the chat
Carnivore diet: 🤣🤣 sure
Carnivore diet has left the chat
Slightly correction there are vegan sources of b12 not just animal source.
SEA PLANTS
thats right i said sea plants, us in the west do not eat hardly any sea plants. We need to follow our asian friend's and include sea plants in our diet
Then there's Marmite and Yeast Tada
And spirulina tada!
sweetdrag0n Actually they found out in a study with b12 deficient scandinavians that if they ate algaes it did not help. The symptoms stayed. The b12 found in them is an analoga. It does not work for us
I get my b12 from Kal nutritional yeast. Tastes good and has a cheesy sort of taste.
+MAYRAH NIGHT About a tablespoon of nutritional yeast per day will cover your b12 needs.
unfortunately for you, you have turned your back on us fellow vegans. That is strictly a no go area as that type of yeast has been genetically modified to have animal genes inserted into its genome. How un-vegan of you. I will pray to the vegan gods for your unforgivable sins.
@@kanenathan7631 I hope this is a joke. Some of you vegans are hella cray cray
Thing I notice in ALL (raw) vegans is, that we look ALL really glowing and are superslim 👍🏼☀️
Wow the girl on the right is scary skinny.I'm a raw vegan & I eat all day.Someone give her a bean burger
first viewer first like first comment :D
:D :D :D
Buckthorn Berries, Chlorella, Homegrown vegetables with a lot of dung in the soil, raw Shiitake creme, Couch grass.
None of those have b12 unless you actually eat spoon fulls of dung.
@Maciej Jan Długosz not been reproduced since. Science does not hold with individual results that can be a fluke. The consensus is very clear.
@Maciej Jan Długosz references or stop lying?
Fortified foods contain b12, cornflakes for example.
Rice , sir or almond milk too 😊
Rice, Soy & Almond milk too 😊
Vegens seem skinniest
Why not just give a suggested amount? Why run around the bush
Monster energy drink's and cereal.
How bout a "D-12 " shot
where did Jesus get His Vitamin B12 when he here on earth? injectibles from a pharmacy?
Women are so funny... Did you know that wheat doesn't contain protein, but the bugs do? LOL. So, what do you think that a sharecropper does, chops down the grains, and runs them through a wash? Nope. The bugs, dirt, GMO pesticides all get chopped, blended, and processed into your cereals, breads, and delicious snacks. People have been eating processed dirt and bugs, and chemicals for generations. But if you present to a typical person, city folk, a dirty fruit or vegetable, they'll freak out because they've been programmed to think that dirt is bad. Meanwhile, 100% of the vegetables come from dirt! Lol. Silly girls!
