Auto catchers blow through pokeballs so fast. I like the idea of using great balls in autocatchers, but I think it's a lot less useful than people think it would be. Greatballs/ultraballs are necessary for those spotlight hour/comdays for fast catching hard.
i find my modded goplus+ very very useful... sure i fly through balls at the expense of catching more pokemon. i also live in a city where its easy to replenish the bag@@Ditronus.

There’s times where I’m working and I’m solely auto catching/stop spinning. I see what you’re saying, but it would still be a useful feature that’s been made possible since the plus+.
Right there with you. Looks like they made some improvements, but I've been holding out for an aftermarket catcher with ball select. Also prefer the original Gotcha size bc I prefer keychain.
My first Gotach was good and still works. Stealthy in my pocket with my modification to the multicolored band. My Gotcha Evolve did not last long, before it died. I now have the Go Plus Plus and like its features, but do desire the stealth. I think Next GEN stealth will probably be a big hit when it adds the multi ball option.
I love my original Gotcha, but it just fell apart. When I was trying to put it back together, the screen cracked. I can use it for now, but I don’t think it will be possible to charge it since the innards aren’t in the case. 😢
Addressing Design comments. I think when Billy mentions the time spent in developing and designing this device I think he means the software. This wasn't designed to look like an Apple Watch Ultra clone. IT IS an Apple Watch Ultra clone which existed and they repurposed as an autocatcher. Brilliant idea as far as I'm concerned. Much better than these awful puck and other designs. But it would have been much better is they had cracked the software for the Plus+ and had the ability to use Great and Ultra balls rather than just putting a nice face on the old software and added some built in Timers. Given those limitations I think the price point, even at $80, is a bit high.
On the one hand, the Apple Watch Ultra design makes it one of the coolest catchers. On the other hand, I already have a real one and don't want to replace it with this one just to play Pokémon GO
This looks pretty sweet but im curious why the ➕️➕️ API hasnt been reverse engineered yet. Would be cool to have this watch and use the ultra balls. I know its little but 🤷

Should've made all of this on an app that we could download to our smart watches. That is what i would love. Meanwhile i just carry 2 catchers on my second phone whenever i play.
50k preorder completed less than 7hrs after you posted (first time i got to see your vid). Having said that, i'm happy with the Trainer Club edition gotcha evolve. Catches slower, but connects to 2 devices.
For starters, it doesn't catch for 2 devices like your trainer club one does, it doesn't use great and ultra, and thirdly, I'm still waiting for my Trainer club one to be fixed since the watch function stopped working after 2 weeks. What's to say this one won't stop working after 2 weeks? I don't need fashion statements. I need functionality. Plus, the trainer club one was only $60 and does way more than this. Sorry Billy, but I'll take a hard pass.
Honestly, great design and functionality. Love the new charging ability to match current smart watch users to make it simple and effective. At this point though, I cannot justify $80-100 for a Gotcha that doesn’t utilize ball selection. As a rural player, I get minimal access to Pokestops so I love my original Gotcha to gather some items, however I burn threw red pokeballs way too fast when catching. I would love to be able to switch ball type to balance usage and get higher success rates on Comm days. I love where you are going with the development, but I’m probably going to pass on this one and look forward to the day when we get ball selection. Also, I think a brilliant idea would be to develop the next version with the ability to do software updates. It would be a more attractive purchase knowing one product could continue to get better over time. Keep up the good work!

I was actually surprise to see this vid as I am looking for a autocather. After watching it there's no doubt - that's a MASSIVE, MOST DEFINETE hard pass. No option to use great/ultra balls and costs more than plus +. You're clearly pushing it and good luck to you mate, but for UNTESTED product this price will be way too much for a regular pogo player.

It would have been a thousand times better if it also allowed for phone notifications as well. That way it could still serve as a smart watch that gives you text notifications and whatnot. Missed opportunity.

Does it count steps at all? I use my current watch mainly for the purpose of exercise and counting daily steps & distance walked - would only be able to replace with this if it had that feature.
The best feature you could add would be to choose which Pokemon the gotcha attempts to catch and which to pass over. That was my first thought when you started talking about passing over Pokemon not in the PokeDex.

I have an Apple Watch Ultra as well, and this is basically an identical copy lol it's cool though! Like other people are saying, the only thing keeping me from buying it is that it can't use Great and Ultra balls. If it could, I wouldn't care a bit to be that freak wearing two Watch Ultras.

Only when the official devices vaguely support this. Nothing in the API call to the catcher device tells you anything beyond 'there's a pokemon' 'there's a pokestop' and the occasional 'there's a species you haven't yet caught'
Can’t beat actually seeing and catching the shiny. I only use my plus plus to spin stops. I’m cursed shinys always run, so only spinning stops for the win. 🤣
There was a time when you could spin pokestops using your Apple Watch and it would tell you what pokemon was around you all from your watch when you weren’t in game

They are definitely nice little things, for me the only reason to get a new device would be if the function of different ball selection was integrated.
I have a question about the auto catch unknown Pokemon function on all gotchas, does the gotcha consider shiny of all types as unknown? Or will it only catch Pokemon that aren't in the Pokedex, (skipping shinys of previously caught Pokemon)?
Billy, I love you. Two things tho: No word (that I saw) of it will ship/arrive before Christmas. Second, 35 dollars more expensive than the newest Go Plus is pretty tough to swallow. Seems pretty niche, so I’m sure people are willing to pay that, it just doesn’t work for me tho.
Why do the auto-catcher companies always want to make wristband devices? I have a watch, adding a second one is weird. The perfect stealth device = Goes in your pocket, does not change settings if it touches something in your pocket and only vibrates if it disconnects.
After modding my plus+ its a must to be able to use great and ultra balls to auto catch. I go through so many pokeballs that its necessary to switch and replenish while using great balls. I wish there was a device that did this for 2 accounts at the same time.
Had a Gatcha Ranger that eventually died on me (lasted over a year including an accidental clothes wash cycle), and that was my favorite form factor by far... Having the ability to charge my phone from it in a pinch was clutch and a good reason to always carry it around even if I wasn't playing. Then I got the new Plus+, and now the 247... Love the dual catcher feature, so I'm sticking with it... But I do find myself missing the go-tcha feature of not catching unknown pokemon... I hate turning it off on walks while I use a 15-min incense to look for legendary birds. The randomized catch time is also pretty innovative. .
Selling it just to the US later is a dumb business move! Companies like Mattel keep doing this crap and then go surprised Pikachu face when their products fail.

Well maybe one, because the great and ultraball funkcionality is not that important... 1) I know you have to sell stuff, but wouldnt it be nicer to have something like virtual autocatcher? I mean it allready is just an app, but does it have to be installed on separate device that does not do anything else?!!! I would gladly buy it for half of the price of this thing...AND I would not need to deel and take care of another device. That would be great!!! No great or ultra which means its mostly a cosmetic upgrade. Too pricey for that. Will be waiting for the 3rd party devices to reverse engineer the great and ultra ball throws.

Looks good but why do we need to play ‘in stealth’? Nobody should feel shamed to play Pokémon Go.

They are definitely nice little things, for me the only reason to get a new device would be if the function of different ball selection was integrated.

I have a question about the auto catch unknown Pokemon function on all gotchas, does the gotcha consider shiny of all types as unknown? Or will it only catch Pokemon that aren't in the Pokedex, (skipping shinys of previously caught Pokemon)?

Second, 35 dollars more expensive than the newest Go Plus is pretty tough to swallow. Seems pretty niche, so I’m sure people are willing to pay that, it just doesn’t work for me tho.

I got the last one and I actually broke it a few days ago. Glad they changed the charging port, that was the worst thing on the last.

Why do the auto-catcher companies always want to make wristband devices? I have a watch, adding a second one is weird. The perfect stealth device = Goes in your pocket, does not change settings if it touches something in your pocket and only vibrates if it disconnects.
What’s the difference from this and the Gotcha Evolve Pro+ ??

What about the big issue that all the go-tcha's have. Disconnecting from your account. Also what about catching can you change pokeballs?

After modding my plus+ its a must to be able to use great and ultra balls to auto catch. I go through so many pokeballs that its necessary to switch and replenish while using great balls. I wish there was a device that did this for 2 accounts at the same time.
Had a Gatcha Ranger that eventually died on me (lasted over a year including an accidental clothes wash cycle), and that was my favorite form factor by far... Having the ability to charge my phone from it in a pinch was clutch and a good reason to always carry it around even if I wasn't playing.
Then I got the new Plus+, and now the 247... Love the dual catcher feature, so I'm sticking with it... But I do find myself missing the go-tcha feature of not catching unknown pokemon... I hate turning it off on walks while I use a 15-min incense to look for legendary birds. The randomized catch time is also pretty innovative.

Selling it just to the US later is a dumb business move! Companies like Mattel keep doing this crap and then go surprised Pikachu face when their products fail.

Well maybe one, because the great and ultraball funkcionality is not that important... 1) I know you have to sell stuff, but wouldnt it be nicer to have something like virtual autocatcher? I mean it allready is just an app, but does it have to be installed on separate device that does not do anything else?!!! I would gladly buy it for half of the price of this thing...AND I would not need to deel and take care of another device. That would be great!!! I use it (when I use it) on full auto anyway to spin pokestops and catch pokemon while at work. Not sure why I would need to click on it or see what it does. I do not need it to be stelthy. Sooooo..... ??? Hell I would even take it as app just for smart watches that I allready have... Am I missing some special funkcionality? What the hell?
I’m gonna pass cuz it’s the same thing as my evolve 2 … they didn’t even make it to where u can use great or ultra balls … total waste of money since the gotcha 2 cost 79.00 when I first bought it a year ago … still works .. this is just a gotcha 2 in Apple Watch case
COOL idea, bur without the ability to autocatch with Great/ultra (or even the ability to manually catch with those) its an easy pass for me

No great or ultra which means its mostly a cosmetic upgrade. Too pricey for that. Will be waiting for the 3rd party devices to reverse engineer the great and ultra ball throws.
I think wearing two Apple Watch Ultras now is more obvious than having a puck
