The wayfarer one scares me. My best friend is disabled and I’ve been trying hard to find something near her house to become a poke stop. I’ve been submitting any little thing that I think might have even a small chance of getting passed.
I’ve had stuff that should have been made into a pokestop denied. Including: a pub, a plaque, a museum and a library. Being rural myself I find the decisions made by the wayfarer community totally mind boggling!
@@asseyez-vous6492 Without photos difficult to tell why (ofcourse not possible on YT :D) but a Pub is debatable for many years. A lot of them get rejected unless they have a "rich" history behind them. A plaque - if it's on the wall of a residential building - that's rejected by most wayfarers. Museum and library should be a good one unless the surrounding area photo is not providing a good view. (it does help if Streetview is an option) From time to time I get on Wayfarer to vote but I reject quite a lot of them because a lot of them are pokestops in their backyard or frontyard. Everybody loves a pokestop next to their house but that's not the idea behind this. Also poor surrounding area photos and no streetview to check the location, means a lot of rejections from that community. I only have 40 nominations done, and only 1 rejected (double). When I checked Wayfarer that was accurate. (Shame it's not used for Pokemon Go).
That sounds risky. Head on over to the Wayfarer subreddit, you'll see how many ridiculous submissions they need to deal with. Submit quality, not quantity.
Ive submitted around 50 stops in the past month, all of which potential pokestops. Or things that i have seen as a pokestop in communities around me. From all those submissions only like 10, maybe a few more were accepted. It costs a lot of time to create the request, just to get them not accepted. With these bans comming in, i'll just stay away from growing the game in my community. Wayfarer and Niantic make it impossible to play in a small town/city.
@@-_. i've nominated things that are pokestops in other places, doesn't get accepted and i really try to make them good and contain all information. Also "stacked" pokestops are not allowed. But when i visit other places, there is many stacked pokestops and gyms.
I just got two wayspots rejected where the wayfarers marked it as fake nomination. They may not have been the perfect nominations, but they certainly were not fake. With the risk of losing my account this just results in me not nomination wayspots again. I did send in an appeal for one of them stating it was not a fake nomination. But they should be more clear on the trailmarkers, because especially in the Netherlands we have a lot of hiking and biking trails, and therefore a lot of markers. And they are all unique imo. So they really should be more clear on this. For now I am done with nominating though. My account is too precious to me.
I have submitted a giant bench that was placed in my town as a hangout spot for the youth for the last 5 or 6 years and it keeps getting flagged as a seasonal thing, which it isnt. The whole system is fucked.
Mine always get denied lately & there is never, ever a reason. To me that is the worst part. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong so I'm not wasting my time or anyone else's time
Thanks for explaining Billy, but my take away is to just not submit Spots as all. I, personally, think Niantic uses algorithims to flag and ban specific behavior for certian features of the game. And I DO NOT want to do anything that might result in even a 7 day ban, so I'll just stay away from those features altogether.The only thing that concerns me is having someone in my friends list that spoofs. I do not knowingly associate with spoofers irl.
Hello! It is worrying if stops that are supposed to motivate exercise are not approved because they are not unique enough because there is something similar a few miles away. If the game is not supposed to be fun but punishing, you lose the energy for it.
Like all the content creators you live in a large city. Rural players can NEVER do 5* raids local shadow raids or legendary raids as Niantic has priced remote raids away and the 5 a day limit really curtails available help. Other than the few content creators we cant fly all over the planet to do events and raids your average cant do this . On top of this there are several regional s you can never EVER get. As to are the bans fair let me see Niantic wants the players to do all the work for free and jump through hoops to do so. Again as a rural player there are very few POI' sand no sidewalks or trails so there is NEVER going to be pedestrian access. so you cant meet the criteria EVER
Your area has no historical sites? No town buildings, no old wells, no graveyard, no water tower, etc That seems incredibly difficult to believe, but I am sorry if that is the case. Is your house the only structure for miles?
As rural player with limited eligible POIs. It's difficult to improve the gameplay, when even eligible POIs gets denied. Also the process can take up to a year, since there's not many reviewers.
I ha e over 300 nominations on my name, some got regetced some got accepted. I nominated but cumunity accepted it and refused it. So it is not my fult if something is accepted/refused...it is people who vote!
I have been trying to get our towns post office and fire station approved for Pokestops. But they keep getting "not accepted" and they never put a reason why. I think there's someone in the "community" who knows me or just my PoGo name and keep rejecting my submissions. Maybe Niantic need to keep a eye on the people who evaluate nominations instead and ban those people instead.
The problem is this whole thing is too vague. Niantic never provides explanation with specifics. We always need to guess and be afraid and worried. And absolutely Niantic falsely banned players. There need to be a complete separation from Wayfarer to PoGo regarding suspensions.
Bans for trying to make routes or poke stops is very bad for the game. Like why do people risk losing account which let’s be honest probably has loads of money invest and time years… just because they tried to nominate a stop. If anything flag account for investigation with a freeze on the nomination feature. It’s scary to think years of good times and hard work gone for one bad nomination.
I'm glad that I don't use spoofing at all, only using Campfire map for raids and just hoping to be invited to Raids via Remote Raid Passes in other countries and states
Where I am, nearly everything is rejected and the reasons seem random. I had an art statue rejected for "child abuse", for example. A ridiculous reason to reject a very clearly good Wayspot. Of course, it was approved after an Appeal, but that took months. I've found that "Upgraded" stops are often immediately rejected while those that are voted without being upgraded had a higher chance of acceptance, as well as having appropriate rejection reasons if they're rejected. I know Niantic doesn't care about false rejections, but it's discouraging.
They can’t just ban you for making a bad stop. There’s nothing in their guidelines it says so what’s gonna happen is they’re gonna end up getting sued and then they’ll stop
I have noticed that people that get the permanent ban accounts are still out there. I still have people on my friends that have been permanently banned. Is this so that they can look like there are more players than there actually are?
In a word yes. Niantic want people to think that the game is at the height of its popularity when in reality they are struggling to hold on to customers because of their own mistakes

Seems to be like it’s not worth the threat of losing your whole account, to post a PokéStop nomination, no matter how legit it seems your nomination is. Wayfare will straight up reject legit pokestops submissions anyways (calling permanent statues accessible to the public, ‘seasonal’ and giving other ridiculous reasons not to accept them that are untrue, such as saying that the nomination is not accessible, even when they clearly located in the middle of town or something) and if you have too many submissions that aren’t accepted, you can lose your account entirely without any human review of your submissions.
3:50 that topic always scared me from time to time ... i had a phone where the gps was wrong nearly all the time ... while walking it was perfect but at home my character was switching position very often ... most of the time walking a few 100 meters in one direction and back ... sometimes just jumped 1000 meters in one direction and i was always like "hopefully that will not get me banned.." i mean the positive thing was getting eggs hatched and the buddy walk and stuff ... but at the same time i like to see with pokemon go how much i walked in the week ... and well you cant to that if your phone walk over 30 km per week for you ... and no it wasnt some sort of modified or anything it was a normal phone i buyed it new and was the only person ever holding it in hand since it left the store xD and no i never get a bann or even a warning for it i know that this happens from time to time with a lot of phones but not that hard ... this phone was just all over the place sometimes so far away i couldnt even say where i am never saw any of the stops or gyms nearby 5:28 but i have to say i dont like the wayfarer feature at all ... not because of the system itself but for everybody something different is "a wayspot" ... easy example from myself i have a cycling tour around the area of course there is not just one sign for it but i know that atleast 2 are stops/gyms in pokemon go and i submitted a sign here and it was decliend "for another reason" yeah whatever that means ...? i mean that kind of wayspot is even a "good example" in the tutorial for wayfarer ... there are just to many opinions for "good" or "bad" wayspots because of the amount of reviewers
My phone does this too & I don't know why as it is brand new & very expensive (i.e. not some janky piece of crap) & I don't have any illegal apps on it!

The whole "uniqueness" aspect of the wayfarer approval process is inconsistent and whack. By Billy's explanation, shouldn't all athletic courts and fields be rejected? If a park has 10 of those and all could be pokestops, who really cares if it's repetitive?
Fantastic video as always Billy. I have a friend who spoofed and got a ban for 7 days just to get a hundo and when they were no longer banned they ended up getting the same hundo from home 😅. There is always a way to play the game to its fullest without cheating and some people just have to read things more carefully and clearly. I live in a rural area where there isn't much stops and gyms and very little spawns but I make it work without cheating.
I’ve gotten soft banned for like 15 minutes during a community day. My phone thought I was still at home when I turned it back on at a park, and I think that may have triggered the spoofing detection stuff
For starters I quit submitting the stops. More than half for denied and it becomes discouraging to even try cause it does take time to set that up for it not to get approved. 2 rooting a phone doesn't mean you're automatically a cheater. Carrier phones come with built in bloatware and to root the phone in most cases like myself is to get rid of that and make the phone battery last longer and to make the system run smoother. So now I've gotta worry and a ban for making the phone run smoother? And yes one did my research on how that works from the cheating perspective. Any of the 3rd party apps out there used modified ways of getting into Pokemon Go servers and they have ways to detect that kinda play. The rooting method uses the legit app from the play store using an overlay to change what happens in the game. So in short and that being said Facebook messenger is an overlay. How are they to detect that?

I guess what I’m saying is the people that did cheat and make it sound like they didn’t make it hard for people like me who actually need to appeal their ban and niantic won’t take it seriously
The in game support is a joke, I reported an issue when groudon was in raids which they never fixed, but also I tried to report a bug in the gbl a day late. only to discover I couldn't report any issues untill they resolved the first one. At the "end" of the customer support bot they ask "did we fix the problem" I of course clicked no and that essentially kept me locked into that subject.

Really good video. However, I would like to point out that Wayfarer system is ridiculously stupid. The neighbourhood/ suburb near my parent's place in India had zero pokestops and hence, the community is almost non existant. So, I tried to nominate all parks, gardens, sculptures, sports areana and community gyms. I had several of those parks rejected and my rating went down to fair. If Nerfantic keeps treating people like this, no wonder people in that community want to spoof.
Just to note on Wayfarer only ban. Niantic have done these before and they have proven to be ineffective. For one, people were still able to nominate "Pokestops" even with a ban in place. Second, the accounts that abuse Wayfarer before return to abusing the system after the ban expires. Players don't give a damn about their Wayfarer accounts and see them as disposable, but they do care about their game accounts. That is why Niantic has extended the bans to game accounts.
Thank you sir for this video. Very helpful for me a little over a year in. I'm still submitting while learning that the criteria changes per submission per submitter. I was so happy to see my efforts in the game but what you didn't address is that not all submissions turned approvals are IN Pokémon GO. I have approvals that went to other apps which kinda upset me because I don't use other apps that use our submissions. So with that said I made note of it every survey that they've sent to me. And I keep PoGOing along in the meantime.
I like your video it was really informative. It's also perfect example how of course you're taking Niantic side while at the same time playing both sides and acting like you have feelings for the community. I don't expect you to bad mouth the answer but I would never expect you of course to call Niantic out for all of the things they do to players in the past and present and as well as in their monster hunter game. I don't expect you to bite the hand to feed you and it's true that you do get a lot of funded from people like us cuz you do have great content. But I want to come to the Niantic stuff playing both sides will eventually burn out.
So far I have submitted 3 poke stops...I think all are rejected, but to be honest, the pokestop amounts in Australia is making the game here complete Garbage...Niantic on purpose treats Australia as the Garbage Pokemon land, so the game will not develop here, it forever stay at the Garbage level. they just don't want to improve the game here full stop. So this is why many people moved to better games like FiFa and so on, when you know it's not designed to be Garbage in one place and better in another place. But as a retaliation to this garbage designation - I WILL NEVER TRY MONSTER WHATEVER...THEY DON'T DESERVE IT, UNTIL THE GAME IMPROVES HERE.
People get self-riteous when they know they deserved their ban and we only know what they tell us, so it sounds like Niantic is randomly banning good players when that wasn't what happened.
No I also have a secondary account because I only have 1 gym in my entire city and there is not a single player so I go there everyday and knock my Pokemon to get my 50 coins everyday

Many trainers did not submit.eligible point of interest. My last submission lived several days ago. I made the video.😊 So far my 31 pokestop submissions have been approved😊
I’m still waiting to get some type of feedback for my first submission right before Go Fest. An email, the actual poke stop or some type of notification. I didn’t know how long I’d have to wait until I did some research and saw people are still waiting months later.
To be honest its dumb regardless to ban people who thought they were using to wayfarer system correctly. I was gonna send in the mail boxes in my neighborhood, but decided not to when i found out people were getting banned. The 3rd criteria you went over is what i would've thought qualified my pokestop, Accessible to the pulbic and a place anyone can visit. Not putting the blame on anyone but ive even seen other youtubers, say you just have to meet one of the criteria for your pokestop to be eligible.
Mailboxes (the regular community ones) are not eligble. One of the first points in the rejection criteria say those are not qualified - they are mass produced, could be temporarily (nowadays a lot of them get removed). It's not a gathering place in comparison to a post office. On most discussions almost everyone agrees those shouldn't be pokestops. (reddit/wayfarer forum) They are not banning people from using the wayfarer system. Some people really abuse the system and some are pretty obvious when you rate these. MOst likely most people who get banned know they were somewhat misusing this system, as is goes with most cheating.

Honestly i feel like it should just be a wayfarer ban. If its a wayfarer offense, it should be a wayfarer ban. And ONLY a wayfarer ban. If people keep spamming low quality nominations then remove their privilege to make nominations. The fact that they get banned from both wayfarer and GO is egregious. Going straight to 30 days is also ridiculous.
I’m just not going to submit anymore stops. Not worth getting my account ban for no reason. Most of my submissions get rejected anyway. It’s hard enough trying to get approval and now they’re banning whole accounts for a bad stop. I get a wayfarer ban but the whole account is just wrong when it takes time to get high enough level to just submit a stop. So it’s super punishing for no reason.
Niantic has proven themselves to be woefully inept, and cannot be trusted to discern the difference between predatory pokestop submissions and poorly submitted ones. To actually ban someone's Pokemon Go account instead of just their Wayfarer account is nothing short of malevolent. Seriously, just ban the Wayfarer account. Anything more is just spiteful. They've completely lost the ability to act like they know how to properly "investigate" anything when they can't manage to run a billion dollar revenue generating app without constant bugs, mistakes, and predatory behavior like ignoring loot box laws
Wayfarer bans should not equal Pokémon Go bans. If they want the submissions to be generic and not game specific, they need to make the ban for that system not the game it came from. Methinks they are doing the ban this way because the accounts are linked and they are unable to ban just the Wayfarer part of it. That or it reiterates that their main focus is on AR and Pokémon go is just a way to get that data. If they don’t get the data they want, they don’t want you in the system at all.
I don't do any nominations because everything is already either a pokestop or gym that can be where I live so there's no point as for Routes I don't even attempt to create any to submit because there's not enough of a player base where I live

Nowadays pokemon go video creators when Pokemon Go just debuted in respective countries like Trainer Tips, Mystic 7,Zoetwodots already became semi active while Jt Gily in hiatus. Pkmnhollymaster and 1 reversal resign from Pokemon Go video creator. This happen because Pokemon Go are not an interesting anymore compared when it was debut . Others factors including internet issues, in game item price increases, forgot turn shiny pokemon version on more charge in game events and etc.
Unjust bans are real but yes, they reversed mine after 48 hours because I had 2 accounts. Which I did but didn’t. I made an account for my little brother & then he spoofed his account. We both got banned but I pleaded my case & they reversed it

How can I get my ID back, after Gofest i went to my hometown where there is no pokestops and after 3-4 days when I opened it was gone and it happens just after laying go fest and getting my first shundo legendary after playing this game for 6 years. can anybody help me with this or can show me a way through which I can get it back.
I get the feeling this only looks like a complicated issue because the RUclips creator community for Pokémon GO tolerates cheaters and people who abuse the Wayfarer system. I swear, if we took RUclips and Reddit as a complete representation of the Pokémon GO community, you'd think no one in the community knows what a "Terms of Service" is.
Im probably the 50th person to say this (I didn't read all the comments) but I for one will NEVER participate in wayfarer stuff if this is the way they're going to treat their customers. With all of the poor decisions, lackluster events and frankly absurd things happening in this game lately I feel like niantic are lucky to have the players they've got and they should think very carefully before they alienate their player base any further. I started playing again this year going from level 1 to 40 in a few months and the key thing I've noticed in that time is the animosity between the players and niantic. Someone needs to remind them that Internet based communities like the pogo hardcore players can, and will take their custom elsewhere if they feel they are being treated poorly for too long. I built up a comminity got a lot a stops put in but then I tried for a tennis court it got turned down last I knew sport court was a yes I toyed for a art sigh of a horse they said it was a animal so it got denied I did a ranch that was really cool to try to help a local buiseness so strike 3 and I got the 30 day ban from wayfarer and threat of my Pokémon go account so I’m not nominating anymore because I don’t want to chance my account
for me it sounds like you wont get a bann because of 1 abuse nomination .. atleast i hope everybody can make a mistake and nominate something thats wrong and could be called abuse but bann everybody for 1 abuse nomination would most likely ending in no one left to submit something ..xD
No, Niantic seems to treat all rejections as the same, so "abuse" is treated the same as "features nature", even though one is illegal and the other is just a Wayspot rule. I had a Wayspot rejected for "child abuse" by "the community". I appealed it and Niantic approved of the spot, but the false "child abuse" claim was not taken seriously. Niantic SHOULD have looked into it themselves immediately, but they didn't care. It's just a rejection reason to them.
Sometimes I wonder if the people declining possible stops are drunk. I submitted a sign that's a permanent fixture and was told it was declined because it was not only a non man made object, but a waterfall...whut? Then the second thing that I submitted was a water fixture in my community. Again, permanent feature, access to pedestrians, safe place off the road...was told no emergency access available. Again...whut? It's right. off. the. road! So yeah, my faith in these people declining things is very low.
hmmm getting reprimanded for playing pokemon go from a phone that ha sthe spoofing app means that Niantic is illegally getting information outside of the app. That means, not to be dramatic, but keystroke logging and seeing other apps installed on the phone, big no no on pc, imagining still a big no no on mobile
I know you youtubers want to shy away from casting a negative light on spoofing because some audience members do it or respect others for doing it because it's getting back at "the man." But, I'll call it like it is: it's cheating and it hurts other players. Myself and others I know have been on the receiving end of it plenty of times (spoofers camping gyms 24/7, not letting newer players get their coins, etc) and it's no fun, especially now that there are showcases, another competitive aspect to the game where spoofers have the advantage.
I just reviewed a few stops and the literal garbage ppl submit is mindblowing, but I feel the max "punishment" they should get is a 365 day ban from Wayfairer with 3 strike method.

Well I'm a new player I just started this game 4 month ago and I submitted 5 pokestops but non of them were accepted
That's what I found. The "community" rejects everything, no matter how obviously they meet the criteria.

Hello! It is worrying if stops that are supposed to motivate exercise are not approved because they are not unique enough because there is something similar a few miles away. If the game is not supposed to be fun but punishing, you lose the energy for it.
Like all the content creators you live in a large city. Rural players can NEVER do 5* raids local shadow raids or legendary raids as Niantic has priced remote raids away and the 5 a day limit really curtails available help. Other than the few content creators we cant fly all over the planet to do events and raids your average cant do this . On top of this there are several regional s you can never EVER get. As to are the bans fair let me see Niantic wants the players
to do all the work for free and jump through hoops to do so. Again as a rural player there are very few POI' sand no sidewalks or trails so there is NEVER going to be pedestrian access. so you cant meet the criteria EVER
Your area has no historical sites? No town buildings, no old wells, no graveyard, no water tower, etc

As rural player with limited eligible POIs. It's difficult to improve the gameplay, when even eligible POIs gets denied. Also the process can take up to a year, since there's not many reviewers.

I ha e over 300 nominations on my name, some got regetced some got accepted. I nominated but cumunity accepted it and refused it. So it is not my fult if something is accepted/refused...it is people who vote!
I have been trying to get our towns post office and fire station approved for Pokestops. But they keep getting "not accepted" and they never put a reason why. I think there's someone in the "community" who knows me or just my PoGo name and keep rejecting my submissions. Maybe Niantic need to keep a eye on the people who evaluate nominations instead and ban those people instead.
The problem is this whole thing is too vague. Niantic never provides explanation with specifics. We always need to guess and be afraid and worried. And absolutely Niantic falsely banned players. There need to be a complete separation from Wayfarer to PoGo regarding suspensions.
Bans for trying to make routes or poke stops is very bad for the game. Like why do people risk losing account which let’s be honest probably has loads of money invest and time years… just because they tried to nominate a stop. If anything flag account for investigation with a freeze on the nomination feature. It’s scary to think years of good times and hard work gone for one bad nomination.

Where I am, nearly everything is rejected and the reasons seem random. I had an art statue rejected for "child abuse", for example. A ridiculous reason to reject a very clearly good Wayspot. Of course, it was approved after an Appeal, but that took months. I've found that "Upgraded" stops are often immediately rejected while those that are voted without being upgraded had a higher chance of acceptance, as well as having appropriate rejection reasons if they're rejected. I know Niantic doesn't care about false rejections, but it's discouraging.
They can’t just ban you for making a bad stop. There’s nothing in their guidelines it says so what’s gonna happen is they’re gonna end up getting sued and then they’ll stop
I have noticed that people that get the permanent ban accounts are still out there. I still have people on my friends that have been permanently banned. Is this so that they can look like there are more players than there actually are?
In a word yes. Niantic want people to think that the game is at the height of its popularity when in reality they are struggling to hold on to customers because of their own mistakes

Seems to be like it’s not worth the threat of losing your whole account, to post a PokéStop nomination, no matter how legit it seems your nomination is. Wayfare will straight up reject legit pokestops submissions anyways (calling permanent statues accessible to the public, ‘seasonal’ and giving other ridiculous reasons not to accept them that are untrue, such as saying that the nomination is not accessible, even when they clearly located in the middle of town or something) and if you have too many submissions that aren’t accepted, you can lose your account entirely without any human review of your submissions.
3:50 that topic always scared me from time to time ... i had a phone where the gps was wrong nearly all the time ... while walking it was perfect but at home my character was switching position very often ... most of the time walking a few 100 meters in one direction and back ... sometimes just jumped 1000 meters in one direction and i was always like "hopefully that will not get me banned.." i mean the positive thing was getting eggs hatched and the buddy walk and stuff ... but at the same time i like to see with pokemon go how much i walked in the week ... and well you cant to that if your phone walk over 30 km per week for you ... and no it wasnt some sort of modified or anything it was a normal phone i buyed it new and was the only person ever holding it in hand since it left the store xD and no i never get a bann or even a warning for it
i know that this happens from time to time with a lot of phones but not that hard ... this phone was just all over the place sometimes so far away i couldnt even say where i am never saw any of the stops or gyms nearby
5:28 but i have to say i dont like the wayfarer feature at all ... not because of the system itself but for everybody something different is "a wayspot" ... easy example from myself i have a cycling tour around the area of course there is not just one sign for it but i know that atleast 2 are stops/gyms in pokemon go and i submitted a sign here and it was decliend "for another reason" yeah whatever that means ...? i mean that kind of wayspot is even a "good example" in the tutorial for wayfarer ... there are just to many opinions for "good" or "bad" wayspots because of the amount of reviewers

The whole "uniqueness" aspect of the wayfarer approval process is inconsistent and whack. By Billy's explanation, shouldn't all athletic courts and fields be rejected? If a park has 10 of those and all could be pokestops, who really cares if it's repetitive?
I've been team #BanPogoToo but I like the idea of 1st ban being just Wayfarer. Seems like a reasonable compromise
Fantastic video as always Billy. I have a friend who spoofed and got a ban for 7 days just to get a hundo and when they were no longer banned they ended up getting the same hundo from home 😅. There is always a way to play the game to its fullest without cheating and some people just have to read things more carefully and clearly. I live in a rural area where there isn't much stops and gyms and very little spawns but I make it work without cheating.

I’ve gotten soft banned for like 15 minutes during a community day. My phone thought I was still at home when I turned it back on at a park, and I think that may have triggered the spoofing detection stuff
Its annoying submitting way points and fixing them after being declined. Its always "other rejection criteria"
For starters I quit submitting the stops. More than half for denied and it becomes discouraging to even try cause it does take time to set that up for it not to get approved.
2 rooting a phone doesn't mean you're automatically a cheater. Carrier phones come with built in bloatware and to root the phone in most cases like myself is to get rid of that and make the phone battery last longer and to make the system run smoother. So now I've gotta worry and a ban for making the phone run smoother?
And yes one did my research on how that works from the cheating perspective. Any of the 3rd party apps out there used modified ways of getting into Pokemon Go servers and they have ways to detect that kinda play. The rooting method uses the legit app from the play store using an overlay to change what happens in the game.
So in short and that being said Facebook messenger is an overlay. How are they to detect that?

The in game support is a joke, I reported an issue when groudon was in raids which they never fixed, but also I tried to report a bug in the gbl a day late. only to discover I couldn't report any issues untill they resolved the first one. At the "end" of the customer support bot they ask "did we fix the problem" I of course clicked no and that essentially kept me locked into that subject.
Unique is only for great places to explore...the word unique does not appear in the great places to be social or great places to exercise section.

Really good video. However, I would like to point out that Wayfarer system is ridiculously stupid. The neighbourhood/ suburb near my parent's place in India had zero pokestops and hence, the community is almost non existant. So, I tried to nominate all parks, gardens, sculptures, sports areana and community gyms. I had several of those parks rejected and my rating went down to fair. If Nerfantic keeps treating people like this, no wonder people in that community want to spoof.
As someone who remembers the pre-Wayfarer days of OPR, I do miss when Niantic would host AMA/Town Halls about criteria, do's/don'ts, and changes.
Just to note on Wayfarer only ban. Niantic have done these before and they have proven to be ineffective. For one, people were still able to nominate "Pokestops" even with a ban in place. Second, the accounts that abuse Wayfarer before return to abusing the system after the ban expires. Players don't give a damn about their Wayfarer accounts and see them as disposable, but they do care about their game accounts. That is why Niantic has extended the bans to game accounts.
Thank you sir for this video. Very helpful for me a little over a year in. I'm still submitting while learning that the criteria changes per submission per submitter. I was so happy to see my efforts in the game but what you didn't address is that not all submissions turned approvals are IN Pokémon GO. I have approvals that went to other apps which kinda upset me because I don't use other apps that use our submissions. So with that said I made note of it every survey that they've sent to me. And I keep PoGOing along in the meantime.
I think they should keep the bans separate, specifically just in case someone wasbwrongfully banned and also because they are separate apps

It's also perfect example how of course you're taking Niantic side while at the same time playing both sides and acting like you have feelings for the community. I don't expect you to bad mouth the answer but I would never expect you of course to call Niantic out for all of the things they do to players in the past and present and as well as in their monster hunter game. I don't expect you to bite the hand to feed you and it's true that you do get a lot of funded from people like us cuz you do have great content. But I want to come to the Niantic stuff playing both sides will eventually burn out.
So far I have submitted 3 poke stops...I think all are rejected, but to be honest, the pokestop amounts in Australia is making the game here complete Garbage...Niantic on purpose treats Australia as the Garbage Pokemon land, so the game will not develop here, it forever stay at the Garbage level.

So this is why many people moved to better games like FiFa and so on, when you know it's not designed to be Garbage in one place and better in another place.

People get self-riteous when they know they deserved their ban and we only know what they tell us, so it sounds like Niantic is randomly banning good players when that wasn't what happened.
No I also have a secondary account because I only have 1 gym in my entire city and there is not a single player so I go there everyday and knock my Pokemon to get my 50 coins everyday

Many trainers did not submit.eligible point of interest. My last submission lived several days ago. I made the video.😊 So far my 31 pokestop submissions have been approved😊
I’m still waiting to get some type of feedback for my first submission right before Go Fest. An email, the actual poke stop or some type of notification. I didn’t know how long I’d have to wait until I did some research and saw people are still waiting months later.

To be honest its dumb regardless to ban people who thought they were using to wayfarer system correctly. I was gonna send in the mail boxes in my neighborhood, but decided not to when i found out people were getting banned. The 3rd criteria you went over is what i would've thought qualified my pokestop, Accessible to the pulbic and a place anyone can visit.
Not putting the blame on anyone but ive even seen other youtubers, say you just have to meet one of the criteria for your pokestop to be eligible.
Mailboxes (the regular community ones) are not eligble. One of the first points in the rejection criteria say those are not qualified - they are mass produced, could be temporarily (nowadays a lot of them get removed). It's not a gathering place in comparison to a post office.
On most discussions almost everyone agrees those shouldn't be pokestops. (reddit/wayfarer forum)
They are not banning people from using the wayfarer system. Some people really abuse the system and some are pretty obvious when you rate these.
MOst likely most people who get banned know they were somewhat misusing this system, as is goes with most cheating.

Theres 20 poles that are are identical in my neighborhood and most of them have stops. I've even gotten a bench made into a stop about 6months ago.

Exactly. The band should be related to the Wayfarer not the game it self. Like they can get you 7, 30 or permanent ban on using Wayfarer, not the game.
Honestly i feel like it should just be a wayfarer ban. If its a wayfarer offense, it should be a wayfarer ban. And ONLY a wayfarer ban. If people keep spamming low quality nominations then remove their privilege to make nominations. The fact that they get banned from both wayfarer and GO is egregious.

I’m just not going to submit anymore stops. Not worth getting my account ban for no reason. Most of my submissions get rejected anyway. It’s hard enough trying to get approval and now they’re banning whole accounts for a bad stop. I get a wayfarer ban but the whole account is just wrong when it takes time to get high enough level to just submit a stop. So it’s super punishing for no reason.
Niantic has proven themselves to be woefully inept, and cannot be trusted to discern the difference between predatory pokestop submissions and poorly submitted ones. To actually ban someone's Pokemon Go account instead of just their Wayfarer account is nothing short of malevolent. Seriously, just ban the Wayfarer account. Anything more is just spiteful. They've completely lost the ability to act like they know how to properly "investigate" anything when they can't manage to run a billion dollar revenue generating app without constant bugs, mistakes, and predatory behavior like ignoring loot box laws

Wayfarer bans should not equal Pokémon Go bans. If they want the submissions to be generic and not game specific, they need to make the ban for that system not the game it came from.
Methinks they are doing the ban this way because the accounts are linked and they are unable to ban just the Wayfarer part of it.
That or it reiterates that their main focus is on AR and Pokémon go is just a way to get that data. If they don’t get the data they want, they don’t want you in the system at all.
I don't do any nominations because everything is already either a pokestop or gym that can be where I live so there's no point as for Routes I don't even attempt to create any to submit because there's not enough of a player base where I live

Nowadays pokemon go video creators when Pokemon Go just debuted in respective countries like Trainer Tips, Mystic 7,Zoetwodots already became semi active while Jt Gily in hiatus. This happen because Pokemon Go are not an interesting anymore compared when it was debut . Others factors including internet issues, in game item price increases, forgot turn shiny pokemon version on more charge in game events and etc.
I had a nomination rejected and on the same day seen the pokestop ingame. It's still there today.

Unjust bans are real but yes, they reversed mine after 48 hours because I had 2 accounts. Which I did but didn’t. I made an account for my little brother & then he spoofed his account. We both got banned but I pleaded my case & they reversed it

I get the feeling this only looks like a complicated issue because the RUclips creator community for Pokémon GO tolerates cheaters and people who abuse the Wayfarer system. I swear, if we took RUclips and Reddit as a complete representation of the Pokémon GO community, you'd think no one in the community knows what a "Terms of Service" is.

Im probably the 50th person to say this (I didn't read all the comments) but I for one will NEVER participate in wayfarer stuff if this is the way they're going to treat their customers. With all of the poor decisions, lackluster events and frankly absurd things happening in this game lately I feel like niantic are lucky to have the players they've got and they should think very carefully before they alienate their player base any further. I started playing again this year going from level 1 to 40 in a few months and the key thing I've noticed in that time is the animosity between the players and niantic. Someone needs to remind them that Internet based communities like the pogo hardcore players can, and will take their custom elsewhere if they feel they are being treated poorly for too long.

I built up a comminity got a lot a stops put in but then I tried for a tennis court it got turned down last I knew sport court was a yes I toyed for a art sigh of a horse they said it was a animal so it got denied I did a ranch that was really cool to try to help a local buiseness so strike 3 and I got the 30 day ban from wayfarer and threat of my Pokémon go account so I’m not nominating anymore because I don’t want to chance my account

Has to be repeated offences. If you submit loads of stops and they all get rejected as abuse or anything else then it is possible. A single 1 off, no.

No, Niantic seems to treat all rejections as the same, so "abuse" is treated the same as "features nature", even though one is illegal and the other is just a Wayspot rule. I had a Wayspot rejected for "child abuse" by "the community". I appealed it and Niantic approved of the spot, but the false "child abuse" claim was not taken seriously. Niantic SHOULD have looked into it themselves immediately, but they didn't care. It's just a rejection reason to them.

Sometimes I wonder if the people declining possible stops are drunk. I submitted a sign that's a permanent fixture and was told it was declined because it was not only a non man made object, but a waterfall...whut? Then the second thing that I submitted was a water fixture in my community. Again, permanent feature, access to pedestrians, safe place off the road...was told no emergency access available. Again...whut? It's right. off. the. road! So yeah, my faith in these people declining things is very low.
Lesson: Just play and let the others do the creating.
hmmm getting reprimanded for playing pokemon go from a phone that ha sthe spoofing app means that Niantic is illegally getting information outside of the app. That means, not to be dramatic, but keystroke logging and seeing other apps installed on the phone, big no no on pc, imagining still a big no no on mobile
I know you youtubers want to shy away from casting a negative light on spoofing because some audience members do it or respect others for doing it because it's getting back at "the man." But, I'll call it like it is: it's cheating and it hurts other players. Myself and others I know have been on the receiving end of it plenty of times (spoofers camping gyms 24/7, not letting newer players get their coins, etc) and it's no fun, especially now that there are showcases, another competitive aspect to the game where spoofers have the advantage.
