I really enjoy those Wayfarer videos. I has been years since I have been over Lvl 38. But I never cared about submitting Pokestops. Since I know that I have to get 35 Platin medals for level 49 one day, I thought that it would be nice to get the Wayfarer medal. Also other players in my area could profit from the pokestops that 'm submitting. I noticed some great places in my area that could be turned into a pokestop.
If a stop is moved into another cell, that already has a stop in it, one of the stops will disappear. A gym can revert to a stop if its moved into an adjacent cell if theres not enough points for a gym/too many gyms. Some AR scans will update a location, move it from where it is placed in game to a "more accurate" location and potentially remove it from play that way, though it may still exist in ingress.
I like the videos and started reviewing for upgrades. I managed to get stops and a gym close enough to my house to walk or ride a bike, which is good because I don’t live in a densely packed area.
Used to be one right outside my flat as the side wall of the property had a Banksy on it. They removed that one last summer. Now, I have to get dressed and go to the pub at the end of the road on my off days.
This explains a gym (version store) turned into a pokestop this week. It is near two gyms (both sides of a church in the next parking lot) and in the same parking lot is a In&Out burger and the parking lot is dangerous and hard to move around.

I want to do Pokestop nomination in my covered court near to my house. So that I don't need to worry about Research Tasks requiring Pokestop Interaction. the Inkay and Furfrou weeks really screw me off lately with these Pokestop interaction tasks.
I had alot of new stops show up in my area in the last few months, in one of the spots there was 2 memorial stones within a foot of each other and somehow both became a stop the same day. It lasted about 2 weeks then suddenly one of the 2 was removed. Funny that it even lasted 2 weeks.
Rumour has it that from now on, the 20m distance between stops will be dropped and that it's just 1 stop per cell. Is it correct? If this is correct, removing stops is not necessary to get extra stops ...
Nice video, lots of good info. Did not know you could edit pokestops, have an area with multiple approved pokestops, but only some appear in pokemon go. Will check map in ingress and see if some can be edited/removed to see more stops in pokemon go.
Unless reported for being permanently removed that pokestop likely won't disappear. Niantic don't go around searching for pokestops that can be removed.

In my case I have a gym in an old barbershop that is no longer there, but I don't want to remove it for fear that another gym or stop doesnt pop up, the thing is also that the gym placing is very wrong, like one street away from the actual place xd
Love it. There's a cool statue but there was a lot of construction in that area and the statue was damaged, so they moved it and are renovating it. It hasn't moved far, but far enough that you can't scan it any more because it doesn't think you are in front of the statue. Can this be resolved without changing anything?
Hey Daxi, did you know that the 20 meter rule no longer applies to Pokémon GO since the Wayspot database was moved to Lightship? Now all you have to do is submit a new stop in an empty S2L17 cell so that it can be transferred to Pokémon GO. In the past, you also had to pay attention to the distance to existing wayspots or PokéStops and arenas beyond the borders of the neighboring cells.
I have 3 pokestop near my house that nobody can access and in the middle of the construction site but I cannot remove them because you need to go near the pokestop to declare it as invalid and I cannot go near it because I don’t have access to it. Such an irony…

There are 3 pokestops in the area of the town Cemetery here . With the current Boosted pokestop distance, it's not a big issue, but once it reverts , the only way to access it would be to go inside. I would find it disrespectful for someone to go inside there just to Spin a Pokestop.
The boosted distance to spin stops was made permanent as a response to the "hear us Niantic" movement. If you think the stops are in a disrespectful area, you can request they be removed (like the K-12 school example in Daxi's video). You could use the reeason that the location is "Sensitive".
If you guys want to see how many poke stops will automatically be added if you want to remove one, keep note that ingress keeps every single spot, and ignores s2 cells entirely.

Almighty comment section, one of the research tasks in "A Ripple in Time" requires me to trade a pokemon. Is there a way to get around this if I have nobody to trade with and in a rural area?
Considering how hard it can be to approve a pokestop on wayfarer u should never remove a pokestop, if its avoiding another stop to appear just move it to a nearby cell. Also, never move a gym, it will reverte to a pokestop and only god knows which waypoint will be the new gym.
This title is somewhat clickbaity. I don't think anyone was suggesting that Niantic was removing Pokestops or gyms because they "didn't like" the scans. The concern was that sometimes the landmarks for the waypoints didn't exist anymore, and AR scanning would prove that they didn't exist. But we still want access to these stops and gyms when we're near whatever those waypoints used to be.
A really important tip about creating new stops is to find the proper niantic term for what your trying to add. You can actually fit multiple stops into one small park if you are labeling things different. A playground is one stop and the park it is in is different, the gazebo/rest area (stop calling things Ramada, Ramada is not a niantic term) is different. Have a community area for pool and other games at like a apartment complex? that's called a recreation center. Entrance to a houseing development with the name nicely done on a wall with some plants around it? thats a place name sign. Put place name sign in the description and its going to get voted on faster (i did the same thing called entrance and place name sign, ones still in que the other was voted on and approved in less than 2 weeks). You can pretty easily take a picture of a bench on the side of the road with a sidewalk next to it and if you call it the roads name + rest area with a decent description and good photos you will easily get it approved. Hell you could take some chalk and decorate a electrical box take pictures of it and than wash it off and you could get that approved probably. The community i live in went from 1 stop and 1 gym to 2 gyms and 6 stops since I started adding in stops, as well as 2 inside a grocery store near me.
There is a college in my town that had about 40 stops on its campus. The college security kept pulling people over because they were driving through the campus in thier cars and spinning all the stops. One day they were all gone!

@@macfloof8679 so with trades I’ve change whenever u and a friend trades, it has small chance for a lucky trade which will be a guaranteed 3 star, there’s not really a best cp or iv since your ivs change. I personally don’t trade my 3 stars, so if I got a gibble two star and so as my buddy we trade in hopes for a lucky trade

you never enable space for more pokestops by removing 1. you can only get 1 pokestop in S2 cell of that level, so removing 1 stop will create space for 1 stop in same cell. but if its on private property, that wont happen

If you want to keep yourself having an advantage over other players, don't do it. Take those Pokestops near you as an advantage. We have the 80m interaction distance anyway so no need to bugger ourselves off the trespassing problem. If you want to enjoy the game, without getting stuck to Gifts and 7K eggs, grab the opportunity while it's there.
Can you make a video on how bigger cluster spawns are from specific pokestop location? I mean there are 3 pokestops in a triangle shape and in the middle there are 10+ pokemons spawns and then u see in a cluster of pokestops u see 4 5 spawns
I wondered this as well. Only started playing about a year ago and my house went from two spawns to now 9-10 spawns. Perhaps it has to do with amount of daily activity in a gps location? 🤷🏻♂️

My neighbor lives next to a Pokemon gym. He abuses it and battles the gym from inside his house. I have been at war with him and we basically play tennis with each other knocking each other out of the gym. Its not fair to others. Is that good enough reason to have it removed?
I don't think it's a good idea to remove a pokestop in hopes that more will show up. That seems really unlikely to me. Unless you know for sure that there are 2 invisible pokestops there, I think it would be really stupid to try removing it.
Removing an invalid pokestop from a s17 cell can not lead to the creation of 2 more. because there is still only 1 pokestop allowed in every s17 cell (If we ignore location edits for now!). So I highly discourage anyone from trying to remove pokestops if they are valid just to try and get more pokestops! There is no scenario where this will work! don't do it! It could uncover 1 new pokestop, but there is a high chance it is none. and 1 for maybe 1 doesn't seem like a great deal.
When enough pokestops are added in an area, one will become a gym. Someone must have put in a new stop, and the one that changed was either the oldest stop or it was well liked in Ingress.
Hello I live in France and I see a number of Pokestops and gyms that are place no way near the photo given for the Pokestop and or the gym; I also see a number of Pokestops and gyms with the wrong photo! My understanding as to why this was done was because it was funny, as a joke on Niantic! Niantic are you listening?????

Poke Daxi or anyone know if it is possible to appeal and change the location of the pokestop I submitted and it is approved but probably because it is too close to another pokestop then it does not appear so if it is possible to edit it because it is a big building anyway then it will not be a problem to do the location at its other side That it will be far enough from the existing pokestop
To do a location edit for it I think you would have to make the request in Ingress. You'd have to put a good amount of time into the game to get to the point where you could make the request though.

Just a few days ago, one of the gyms near my house got reverted to a basic poke stop which I thought was odd
a stop most likely got removed in the cell which demoted the gym.

A pokestop near me is really confusing me. The actually thing the pokestop is based on is gone but the pokestop is still there

If you want to keep yourself having an advantage over other players, don't do it. Take those Pokestops near you as an advantage. We have the 80m interaction distance anyway so no need to bugger ourselves off the trespassing problem. If you want to enjoy the game, without getting stuck to Gifts and 7K eggs, grab the opportunity while it's there.
Can you make a video on how bigger cluster spawns are from specific pokestop location? I mean there are 3 pokestops in a triangle shape and in the middle there are 10+ pokemons spawns and then u see in a cluster of pokestops u see 4 5 spawns
I wondered this as well. Only started playing about a year ago and my house went from two spawns to now 9-10 spawns. Perhaps it has to do with amount of daily activity in a gps location? 🤷🏻♂️

My neighbor lives next to a Pokemon gym.
He abuses it and battles the gym from inside his house.
I have been at war with him and we basically play tennis with each other knocking each other out of the gym.

I don't think it's a good idea to remove a pokestop in hopes that more will show up. That seems really unlikely to me. Unless you know for sure that there are 2 invisible pokestops there, I think it would be really stupid to try removing it.

Removing an invalid pokestop from a s17 cell can not lead to the creation of 2 more. because there is still only 1 pokestop allowed in every s17 cell (If we ignore location edits for now!). So I highly discourage anyone from trying to remove pokestops if they are valid just to try and get more pokestops! There is no scenario where this will work! don't do it!
It could uncover 1 new pokestop, but there is a high chance it is none. and 1 for maybe 1 doesn't seem like a great deal.

When enough pokestops are added in an area, one will become a gym. Someone must have put in a new stop, and the one that changed was either the oldest stop or it was well liked in Ingress.

Hello I live in France and I see a number of Pokestops and gyms that are place no way near the photo given for the Pokestop and or the gym; I also see a number of Pokestops and gyms with the wrong photo! My understanding as to why this was done was because it was funny, as a joke on Niantic! Niantic are you listening?????
Just recently saw a Verizon Gym turn into a poke stop… why do you think this happpend and how can anyone CHANGE it into either a gym if it’s a pokestop vs pokestop if it’s a gym?
The terms of Verizon’s sponsorship changed. Presumably they’re paying less now so they only have pokestops rather than full gyms

Poke Daxi or anyone know if it is possible to appeal and change the location of the pokestop I submitted and it is approved but probably because it is too close to another pokestop then it does not appear so if it is possible to edit it because it is a big building anyway then it will not be a problem to do the location at its other side That it will be far enough from the existing pokestop
To do a location edit for it I think you would have to make the request in Ingress. You'd have to put a good amount of time into the game to get to the point where you could make the request though.
