6 years and here we are again. With the best reaction channel on RUclips. Just genuine and totally yourself. You’re the goat chainsaw. Can’t wait to see them in St. Louis!
It’s interesting to see everyone liking their own pick of song rather than one particular song being sought after. Just proves that they really are the GOAT !
Probably my favourite one from the album. Also really glad that they focused on a more load/reload heaviness in general. I think it suits them better. All in all love the album.
@@shugghead8538 Yeah this album is easily sonically in between Black and Load/Reload. Honestly if you slotted an album in-between the two eras this album is probably what you'd get and I love it
What blew my mind: When that Sabbath-esq riff comes in around 6:05 in your video, then comes the trippy chorus of voices, then a slick bluesy lead comes in on top of that bass-heavy riff.. Holy hell, that whole section just keeps on delivering. The groove is up there with Sad But True, Outlaw Torn, and Fixxxer for how wickedly badass it sounds.
@@ChainsawReactslast 3 songs are all top tier with plenty harmonies brother you'll thoroughly enjoy and inamorata is one of my favetallica songs ever and I've been a fan since the 80s
I love Robert, I honestly credit him for helping save Metallica after their lowest point in their career during the St. Anger era (I loved St. Anger btw). I think Rob helping encourage them to return to their roots from Death Magnetic forward, I remember hearing that he's responsible for Metallica playing songs live that they haven't played in years like "Call Of Cthulu". Rob is just a down to earth dude, such a loveable personality and he's a freaking beast on the bass! My love for Metallica will never die!
So glad you reacted to this. I just wish someone would talk more about that riff that revisits at the end, where he goes "You must burn" in the background. That's probably my favorite riff of this song and one of the best riffs of the entire album, I think - and that says a lot, because this is 500/10.
This is honestly one of my favorite songs lyrically from them in a while. Killing all we've learned History will burn Burn it Smile as it burns to the ground The perfect don't want you around Question yourself, you may learn Who's the next witch you must burn?
As someone who grew up during rock music's hay day, it's good to see it slowly coming back, not just through popular bands, but in cartoons(Sonic Prime in particular)! Anyone else?
One thing I like about your reaction videos is that you really pay attention to the lyrics, riffs etc. So many reaction RUclipsrs talks over parts or do not pay attention to some parts with is frustrating sometimes haha
This as a single would be amazing, it could totally replace If Darkness Had A Son. Also Shadows Follow or Chasing Light could replace Screaming Suicide as well.
One of my favorite tracks of the album. 2 days ago I went to the movie theatre for a listening part. Every song was accompanied with a introduction by one or band members. Had an awesome evening. Unfortunately I'm not able to go to the tour but hopefully they'll do some festivals next year,
I was here for all the Hardwired reactions too And I’m back for 72 Seasons!! This album so to me sounds like it could have been released between Black Album and Load as an album to bridge the gap in sound!!
It's awesome to see you reacting to this again! You never changed a bit! I was here when you reacted to Hardwired...To Self-Destruct 7 years ago! I look forward to seeing your reaction to the other songs!
This song is great!! My favorite song probably Crown of Barbwire & tie between Ianmorata is insane Damn good ending to the album it’s 10/10!! The album is 9/10 been waiting for this album for long time worth the wait!
This is my favourite of the "new" ones (not singles). Kind of the Sad but true of this album, but the chorus is -dare I say it- better. Love groovy Metallica! Also kudos to you for recognising the lyrical changes etc on the first listen. I always have to listen to in several times before paying attention to all the details.
Lars was aiming for in the pocket drumming like Phil Rudd.. they’re aiming for ACDC consistency with little stabs and jabs. I dont compare these new songs with any of previous albums. It isnt accurate because where their heads at right now.
i love the new album so much, for me the best since the black album. i still point the lack of hammett's inspiration for creating anthology and melodic solos other than impro pentatonic, at least a couple times in the record (but no....).... however the others, especially james....indeed there are no ballads, almost all songs are in E tonic, and after 2 thirds you kind of get used to the record (i did not say "bored"...) however the first part of the record until Lux Aeterna is freekin awesome, especially "you must burn"..... i have never heard something that heavy with standard guitar tuning ! it makes us wanna headbang for the rest of our lives ! Than you Metallica for this record, for all you have made for us, for making our lives better, for making some of them wanting to play an instrument and do music. We'll meet again in Paris for two consecutive shows in may. Rock N fuckin Roll
Can't wait for Room of Mirrors reaction haha that track is what i love about Metallica it kinda remind me how im crying when first time listening to Spit Out The Bone and become instant Metallica classic in my book. it may not have the intensity and thrashness of SOTB but imo it just under SOTB in term if how good it is. 5/5 track 🔥🔥🔥
This song, and Inamorata definitely have some deep Sabbath vibes. Definitely not a bad thing. Of course, Tony Iommi was one of James's biggest idols growing up, so that makes sense considering the theme of this album. The riffs, the bass, the lyrics, Lars just sitting back stomping on the drums in a straight beat to the riffs, the tonal structure and tembor of the guitars and vocals, all very Black Sabbath. This album as a whole isn't their greatest, but it is good, and looking at it as the whole body of work, this album sounds more like a "complete" album thematically, more so like the themes from MOP and AJFA in terms of consistency. Death Magnetic and Hardwired were good, but they felt more like compilations than focused bodies of work between songs. This album has a swing to it, more consistency in vibes from song to song. Kind of like Kill 'Em All, Re-Load, and the Black Album shoved in a blender with retrosoective theme playing on emotions. I was nervous after hearing a couple of the singles they released, but there's some real gems in these other 8 songs that I think will be real bangers if they play them live.
If Sad But True met Black Sabbath. This album's pretty good. The first time I listened to it I didn't love it, but the longer I listen to it, the more it grows on me.
the problem with singles is you dont want to put out the super good songs like this one they probally kept the best for you to hear the rest of the album idk.
I do like this album and i do like hardwired , i have nothing against kirks solos as a guitarist myself i just think there is always to much snare drum ,i don't understand putting all that energy into smacking the shit out of the snare through every song with so much more to the drum kit , i love lars but after sticking up for him album after album i can not start to think there songs would be 30 percent better with another drummer .
