Thing is Starfield is an actually great game especially if you give time to it. Cyberpunk isn't and is never gonna be. That's the same company that released the buggiest game, having more bugs than even Ark survival evolved and the least interactive open world in any game to date probably. Just Cause has more interactivity than Cyberpunk has. Also that's the same company that besides having a great game they threw it in the dumpster and made it unplayable for everyone even with higher end systems (looking at the Witcher 3) We shouldn't just ignore mistakes. If you are trying to say starfield is flawed it definitely is. But starfield in it's release state compared to cyberbug in it's release state is a godsent
its insane to think how advanced a lot of the game design in cyberpunk is. you dont appreciate details like these and features like a seamless world until you play starfield and cyberpunk back to back.
I'm just minding my own business on the streets of NC and literally the most beautiful human I've ever seen walks by and it's just a random nameless pedestrian that will live rent free in my head for months.
Cyberpunk 2077 has gotten to a state where its existence is actually an existential threat to Bethesda and their credibility as a developer. It was bad enough for them when Witcher 3 came out and rewrote the book on RPG quest design. But Night City’s a little different. When it was busted, there was just kinda a hint that the industry was moving past the Bethesda RPG template. But now that it’s there in all its glory, the Bethesda RPG becomes a joke. Look at this sequence, it’s not like she’s not shifting and rotating around like a video game character, she is. It’s not simply that she’s an attractive NPC, but that’s what draws attention to the real important details. There’s a moment where the situation starts to feel real, recognizable to life. Cyberpunk 2077 and Night City are filled to the brim with little details that just make it come to life more than anything I’ve seen from a game before. (Nowadays anyway.)
They're not even similar. Bethesda makes sandboxes you can explore freely without cutscenes. CDPR aims for cinematics and heavily restricts you. The Witcher 3 doesn't have good quest design. It has good writing, but it's legitimately bad in every other respect. The gameplay is horrendous. Cyberpunk literally has less detail than Skyrim lmao. Look at how many different pieces of dialogue an NPC in Skyrim can have based on what the player character has accomplished, what they're wearing, what their skills are, what faction they're apart of etc. literally dozens of unique voicelines tailored specifically to your character. Meanwhile in Cyberpunk NPCs have like 3 vague voicelines they'll say if you click "talk" on them. Wow, amazing detail. Cyberpunk is just an empty world populated by randomly generated NPCs to make it seem less empty. It's Far Cry with a Blade Runner skin.
@@Zack-vi7is Straight out Hate on Cyberpunk! Why?? If you play CP2k77 Atleast you will know it's not Similar to any Game. It's not a fair comparison because cyberpunk is a last gen title and starfield is next gen title. Also starfield wanted to be inclusive to their player base so they made everyone ugly.
@@therealgreg5653 I honestly don't think it was their intention, but Bethesda has never had good looking faces. They seem to focus on quantity over quality. At first people would assume it might the the outdate engine but modders have made some good looking faces. I just thought it was funny, since everyone is raving about inclusivity about this game when it has far worse problems than politics but aye, to each their own.
@@aersla1731 haha, I figured it was half joking, but I am really curious if it was true now. Fallout 3 and 4 both had better looking characters that just looked correct. It just feels like they intentional avoided making any character very male or very female looking. I noticed this in Outer Worlds and I really do not like it cause politics aside when you create a character that does not match the tone of their voices it feels off putting and unnatural. I stopped played the DLC for Outer Worlds cause I got tired of these strange gender less characters ranting on.
If you watch one of the earlier live streams of gameplay, they had a writer on there. She got a lot of flack for saying that they tried to make NPCs not 'unrealistic' in terms of beauty. On her X bio , It's a lot of pride stuff. She's not the best looking either. Making the characters unattractive was definitely intentional😢
The way she looked over her shoulder and gave you side eye was actually really organic. You would never see anything that natural in any unscripted background NPC in the majority of modern games.
This that “girl you saw one day and now your subconscious kept bringing her back in your dreams and y’all end up having the most blissful time together” energy, and then you wake up and don’t even know when you saw her nor do you know who is she and where she’s from.
The problem is that the face in the character creation screen morphs in game and beards suck in starfield they look good in CC but in game they look patchy
Tbf, my female V is fucking good looking. And I don't use mods for appearences. Tbf, I tried to use some hairmods as there should definetly be more hairstyles in the game, but never found one I really liked on my V. I always get drawn back to hairstyle 49. It's amazing with color blonde.
And car designs, and guns, and quests, and easter eggs and references and and and.. sucha underated company, despite obvious launch failure, but nevertheless how much love they put in this game!
To me Cyberpunk 2077 feels more like a linear action first person shooter with some rpg elements than a true role playing game. Which is perfectly fine if that's what you are looking for, but I want a deeper RPG and more sim elements. And while it is commendable that they have improved the game substantially, it doesn't make up for releasing the game the way they did.@@froilanflorentino1252
@@tylerstimson There is key difference between Starfield and Cyberpunk at launch - Cyberpunk at it's core was an amazing game with massive technical difficulties, Starfield at it's core is a shit game with very little technical difficulties. Effort and patches can fix technical difficulties, they can't fix mediocrity and jank. On release Cyberpunk still had: better music, better graphics, better story, better characters, better combat, better exploration, better side content, better character progression (altho it was shitty), better acting and better dialogues.
I disagree strongly, but that's ok. Starfield does tons of things I've never seen or experienced in a video game before, but I get if its not for everyone. It's a very ambitious game that has only gotten better the more I've played. Gameplay is always king over graphics to me and Starfield's gameplay, player freedom, setting and role playing are why it's become one of my favorite games of all time. But I will say it's perfectly valid to have a different preference.@@whiskybob
Some of these NPC's look so good I think theyre ones I can interact fully with and get some kind of dialogue from. Most of them actually feel like they're there for a purpose, because they look so well put together.
There’s this one attractive blue haired NPC girl I bumped into on the street in Cyberpunk. Sucks that she spoke same and repeated few words when asked. Hope they implement AI conventions on these NPCs just like The Matrix Awakens. I only saw her one time and after that I never saw her again. It happened last year. I think CDRP changed their NPC models through many updates. That’s why I don’t see her anymore.
The difference is CD Projekt RED is a great game developing company who made a mistake and is making up for it, Bethesda is a game developing company run by a huge mistake who thinks everything just works perfectly fine.
I told everyone that in the near future everyone's tune was gonna change about Cyberpunk and instead of being endlessly memed it would be used as a example of amazing game design.
@@_You_Are_Not_Him_ That's how many games today work, its a way of playing that is fun and engaging when you immerse yourself into that world, and the best part of it comes from the storytelling. And the story is just phenomenal.
cyberpunk facial animation is top tier. just realize by these clip first that subtle opened eyelid and subtle mouth open when look at player makes the npc more realistic.
Bethesda is woke now. Afraid to make pretty women in their games. There is not even one hint of sex in the universe of Starfield. It’s like sexiness is illegal there. The club in Neon is probably the least sexy club I’ve ever seen in a video game or even real life. It’s literally an M rated game. Meanwhile in cyberpunk you’ll see women basically nude walking down the street. My point is that a sexless world is just not believable. Even Fallout had hints of it.

@@ni9274Dude, you are riding Todd’s hog like he owns you. “the game doesn’t focus on superficial stuff”, what type of excuse is that for not even getting facial animations working correctly? All you do in modern Bethesda games IS combat, your only significant choice IS wiping out whatever factions you don’t like. There’s so much combat in modern Bethesda games that people call them Action RPGs (in all reality they’re just Action Adventure games though) I’m not a fan of Cyberpunk either, and I find this video depressing.

@@aersla1731 haha, I figured it was half joking, but I am really curious if it was true now. Fallout 3 and 4 both had better looking characters that just looked correct. It just feels like they intentional avoided making any character very male or very female looking. @@tylerstimson There is key difference between Starfield and Cyberpunk at launch - Cyberpunk at it's core was an amazing game with massive technical difficulties, Starfield at it's core is a shit game with very little technical difficulties.
