- When you found Skippy, there are different choices that leads to different outcomes. You can set it to Stone Cold Killer mode at the beginning which end up by locking up later on puppy mode after 50 kills. If you do the opposite (initiate puppy mode), after 50 kills it set permanently on stone cold killer. Skippy asks you to return it to its owner. you can accept and take it to Regina, or refuse and Keep it permanently. OFC in this last case Skippy wont be happy at all. I have included all the choices, dialogues and outcomes for Skippy with Male and Female V to compare their both reactions. For Female V, I have included all the dialogues before Skippy sets automatically on Stone Cold Killer. Here are the time stamps:

Well TBH there is zero reason to keep the gun unless you really want to hear it, there is a better Smart Pistol copy without the AI commenting that is actually better called "Genjiroh" and probably one of the best smart pistols in the game thanks in part to the mods, the only thing you are losing out on is Puppy Loving Mode or Stone Cold Killer targeting.
These are better in the hands of a Assassin build, Basically
8-Body, 20-Reflex, 20-Cool, 20-Tech Abil. and you simply go Athletics, Handguns, Stealth, Cold Blood, Crafting, Engineering
Typically I have done
Corpo - Assassin - Handguns and techpistols silenced stealth build , Rocket arm with Traq rounds
Street Kid - Samurai - Blade and knife poison/bleeding killer, Mantis blades
Outlander - Hick build - Shotguns and Machine Guns, No Cool or Intelligence running gunner, Berserk module Rocket Arm explosive
"doesn't Matter" - NetRunner - Poison hacker with CyberWire(scales with Cool) for finishing off
If you are just playing the game Tech.Ability isn't really mandatory but If you want to play higher difficulties its pretty much essential and at least makes the game easier on other modes(but does take away from your AP and ability to be more rounded), keep in mind a complete tree has been either cut/or is being added later through DLC, this game like the Witcher series will evolve with time of the Devs working on it so the bugs and added content will eventually be there

I believe this is a reference to the sci-fi series "Expeditionary Force," there is an ancient sentient AI named Skippy who befriends the main character whilst being a complete asshole, calling humans monkeys any chance he has for example. He's not a gun, but a shiny chrome beer can. Honestly one of my favorite series and had me in stitches frequently.

1) "the purpose and character of the use" which Skippy is used for comedic purposes, so him referencing Disturbia is fine here. If he was to sell Disturbia, or connect Cyberpunk to Disturbia seriously, then it would not be comedic, but commercial. Also why RUclips Videos can make money off of Video Games, and why you can see this footage RIGHT NOW. It can easily be argued it is used for "comedic purposes", which falls under FU.
2) "the nature of the copyrighted work" Disturbia is a pop song in music meant for distribution in audio. This isn't changing the copyrighted work into another medium to claim ownership. This is why people can sell the entire script of the Bee Movie on a shirt as "art", but not as a script for their own movies which would be plagiarism. Disturbia is not claimed in any way, in another format.
3) "the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole" THIS is the fact that people confuse with "You have to use similar but not the same notes" or "the colors have to be off enough". The Disturbia Easter Egg is a few MB out of a dozen TB, hence it's fine. Reviewing a movie on RUclips and showing a significant amount of it is not, for example. If they blasted more than a % of the ACTUAL song, than they would be in trouble (also where people mistake this from thinking you only have to be "30% off" the original)
4) "the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work" Disturbia's sales were not negatively affected by the Easter Egg. Cyberpunk 2077's sales did not drastically increase because of Disturbia. Disturbia's sales increasing from Cyberpunk would be legally okay.
The easiest way is to pick puppy loving pacifist mode, get 50 kills so it switches to stone cold killer. And then when Skippy actually ask you to return him to Regina, agree to do so. ..But never do it.. This way you still have one of the best guns in the game and the dialogue never switches to negative because you disagreed to take him back

If you keep him you’ll have that unfinished quest in your quest log forever.
If you return him, you clear the quest but now you permanently have a missing slot on your gun wall taunting you.

I like the difference in tone, gives more reason for multiple playthroughs and roleplaying your character
Different personalities, which i find better. also as Dodger says for multiple playthroughs. This is only one area where the different gender makes a little bit of a differense

Female V gives more emotion at some cerrtain dialogue ingame. Both of them have their convincing expression and that'd make your 2nd playthrough more enjoyable.

Skippy genuinely cracked me up of all the characters in Cyberpunk. Also Skippy voice actor when he was singing Bam bam bi bam bam song, it sounds like he almost break character and laugh during his singing.
Skippy itself has more personality as a character than the majority of characters in other games.

If you decide to keep Skippy, he yells “bad user” every time you use him. I used the cloning exploit to both keep and return him.
I just picked stone cold killer then put pax mod on so it becomes non lethal so he never brings up the fact he wants to be taken to Regina and he still keeps his normal witty dialogue.

I started my game over just to get Skippy on Stone Cold, luckily I had just finished the prologue. He's way to cool not to have on Stone Cold and I don't plan on returning him at all, 7k ain't nothing! Skippy is worth over 1mil if you ask me.. Skip for the win!

Fun fact: if you put one of the mods on skippy that reduces the killing to ‘none lethal’ he will stay on Stone Cold Killer forever, alternatively, you can use one of the cyber ware modification that renders all your guns none lethal. Also, if you want Skippy to stay happy, then just say you’ll return him…… and never do 😂
It's sad to give away Skippy and it hurts more when you realise he can have a little convo with Delamian cab
Hopefully they add some DLC with a side job to find the original owner/designer of Skippy and we can get him back or maybe a custom version for ourselves

They lock your save file size at 8mb meaning you can't loot too much or your save file will corrupt itself. If you google this you will start seeing news articles about this issue. CDPR says that you aren't supposed to keep playing with the same character for too long and that you should roll a character as soon as possible after beating the main quest. That doesn't feel like Fallout New Vegas to me.

When I found Skippy I chose to aim for the head but had the weapons non lethal optical attachment. Despite aiming for the head the dialogue option was the one for maiming 50 enemies not killing them. In the end I was given the aim for the head option and later returned Skippy to Regina.
The reference to exfor made me so happy. I'm sad the final book comes out in December. I've been listening to them since book 2.
