Less damage yeah, but I'm with you, the AI makes up for it. Unfortunately I didn't know about the mod switching after 50 kills, so I fucked myself into a corner :(
If you aren't maxing out your technical ability and crafting, you are missing out on some bad ass weapons with insane DPS numbers. You can even craft upgraded versions of the component types so you don't even have to go to junk shops or break down weapons for anything but common components. In other words, if you need Epic Upgrade Components, you can use your existing Rare Upgrade components to craft them. You can craft Rare using Uncommon, and so on. Once you get the Edgerunner Artisan perk and whichever one allows you to upgrade components, you will be pretty unstoppable.
I'm getting both. I told Skippy that I _would_ return him to Regina but so far I haven't...it's been quite a while, too. If and when he starts yelling at me, I'll retire him to my Stash wall and move on to another Smart pistol..the Genjiro if it works for me. I find a lot of the Iconic weapons are distinctly inferior to others I find or craft and then upgrade. Nice to have, but not need to have.
Genjiroh applies shock dmg and lizzy applies burn dmg. Unlike other games, pistols in this game are op and very fun to use. Thanks my man. Didnt know abt this one until your vid. New sub to ya.
If you accidently choose the stonecold killer mode at the beginning, you can put a pax mod in and you dont get any progress for the quest. That also means akippy wont get angry at yoo, since yoh dont even get that dialogue.
If you accidentally set this the wrong way first, then all you need to do is put the gun mod on that turns it non-lethal and it will still do headshots the entire time and because it never kills anybody it will never revert to its weaker form
btw you can just double jump over the wall if you go a little further past the rocks. There are also some nice legendary mods up on the bar on the roof, so I would suggest to explore the entire house!
Pick pacifist mode first then let it go to killer mode wait for to tell you to return him and say no.. At that point you and dupe it give it to regina finishing the quest, put another in the vault so it can go on the wall and keep a third to use
Tell him you will return him. There’s a mission where you get kidnapped by using a BD, they steal your stuff and put it in a locker in the building. Kill everyone in there then go to the elevator, talk to Johnny, then when quest changes, go collect your stuff one at a time for a few items then collect all. Then you will be able to sell and dupe Skippy
On my 1st play through I took Skippy put a Pax on it. In puppy loving pacifists mode. That way I never killed anybody with it it was basically a stun gun. And I used it to hunt down the cyber Psychos without killing them and I got to keep the gun forever that never triggered the message to return him cause I never killed 50 people with it. I'm on my 3rd place through I was going to do it again but I forgot where I picked up Skippy at.
Hey just a tip unless you already handed the gun in if you got skippy and want to keep him at the point when your about to set the gun down drop a gun and then skippy it will complete the quest and also let you keep skippy which will be in a bag on the ground
If you go on the roof of that Arasaka house in the bar area under the counter there is also a legendary Sandevistan Arasaka Software mod (70% more time to notice you)
Oh and if you have the double jump you can into that place very easily even just next to the front gate (where you drive up to enter normally). For those that don’t know you will visit that place choose to side with Hanako Arasaka during the end game. So if you plan on taking that route you can grab it then.
Guys, if you accidentally chose stone cold killer when u picked up the gun originally and don’t want it to revert back to puppy loving pacifist after 50 kills, just put the non lethal mod on it. It will never count kills because it’s not killing and therefore will not revert your skippy pistol, and your peanut friend will continue to go for the head talk to you and be as op as it always has......I found this out because I needed a weapon that was strong but didn’t kill the cyber psychos. So I put that mod on skippy and used it continuously.....it wasn’t until 3/4 of the way on my nomad play through that I learned about skippy requiring a reset after 50 kills which reverts it back to the setting you didn’t choose. Fortunately for me and anyone who puts that mod on before reaching 50 kills, not only will it not change but you won’t have a mission on your map that will just be there unplayed lol also for those who don’t know what happens when you reach 50 kills with skippy, you get a mission from Regina the gun will need a manufacture reset , if you go along with it and allow the reset, skippy is no longer and the guns new name will be daisy and will have a bland boring robotic voice with no charisma jokes or anything as a matter of fact V even talks about how the gun isn’t the same and that he misses the charismatic jokester in skippy. It really sucks and I learned my lesson I will always choose puppy love on my next play throughs.
Just got this 3y after video post. Bike route I couldn’t quite get but I found a balcony that led to a pool, then into the building. Thanks, great vid.
You can make Skippy permanent lethal too... choose puppy-loving pacifist first and after 50 "kills" is will automatically go stone-cold killer. After that use drop glitch to make 2x Skippy ( ruclips.net/video/yFeFNnA8CEM/видео.html ), return one to Regina Jones and keep the other one. Happy ending!!!
You can also select the no I'm keeping you option. Then go to Regina and return it to her but the twist is when you go to put Skippy on the table you drop one gun first and then Skippy since it removes the quest item status and it'll dupe and you can keep Skippy and complete the mission 🤷
Forget Genjiroh, the Yinglong Iconic smart smg is NUTS! It's got an AOE Shock effect (chance) that can be supplemented with the Legendary Short Circuit Quickhack Passive effect. When this quickhack is equipped, any Critical Hit that ANY weapon scores, the weapon will deal a Shock that is supplied by the quickhack. If you're the type of player who likes to focus on a high Crit Chance (like 35%), you'll turn this weapon into a lightening gun! It's also a Craft-only iconic weapon, can craft as many of these as you like and have different ones with different mods. That's a good deal for me because I like to experiment with CyberCAT Save Editor to manually install intrinsic mods like "BeSmart", so I can use it without a smartlink. It also seems to have a beneficial bugged effect if you attach 4x Combat Amplifiers (+5% Chance to apply damage-related status effect). I guess because this weapon doesn't come with a Bleed/Burn/Poison/Shock Chance listed on it's info card... attaching these mods will give this weapon ALL FOUR effects! Using 4 of them gives +20% Bleed/Burn/Poison/Shock which it otherwise would not have. This weapon is so OP, I bet they eventually nerf it.
If u can't find a bike or don't have double/charged jump a van works. Find a low edge and Line it up with the van and use it a a support to reach the edge of the Wall :)
big thanks for that warning, enjoying the propper skippy after 50 leg shots. cant wait to checkout the brandnew patch 1.5 updates, hope its not slower than 1.3 on lower end PCs
I try my best! Some comments aren't worth a reply, but if you took the time of day to watch my video, and in addition took even more time to actually comment on it, I'll take my time to reply! It's a respect thing :)
Don’t need to jump your bike in when there are rocks that allow you to jump over into the large pool/water feature. Think it was on the side overlooking Kerrys place & can see a ‘softsys’ sign in the city. Got mine undetected going thru the kitchen.
If you miss it on the mission you can just get reinforced tendons and double jump over the fence it's basically you just double jump onto the rocks and then the fence and you're in
Ik this is only showing the gun but there is another legendary you can get on top of the roof of the house and it’s a cyberware called (Sandevistan: Arasaka Software) you’ll see a red counter and inside the counter you’ll see a small box inside it is your new Cyberware mod
I don't know if it's a glitch in itself, but I just replay the endings that involved attacking or visiting Arasaka Tower to get rewarded with duplicates of Genjiroh, Pride, and other weapons if I choose to keep playing after the credits.
Yeah... I knew about what path to pick. Told Skippy I would return him, but never will....so roll'in with the Skippy that we all know an love...lol. I didn't know the Genjiroh was like that....4 bullets as one shot. Definitely going to go get this gun now. Thanks for the vid Daniel.
I have so much critical hit, that it doesn't matter with what weapon I play, I feel like Terminator. And I play a lot with MOX (Judy shotgun), I managed to upgrade it to Legendary. It has tons of critical. All the weapons are good, it depend on your style and how you use them
Oh yeah that shotgun is nasty! This is however one of the best pistols in the game, especially the legendary version. But feel free to use whatever gun fits your playstyle, some ppl prefer snipers to stay at a distance, others wanna be in the face with a shotgun, pew pew
I noticed something strange about this gun, the higher the rarity, the less damage it does, but it applies more effects. is it serious? is it better to have a less rarity or a more rarity pistol?
I got this gun in my play through, but as far as skippy goes, I still have Skippy, The Quest that was on Skippy went away, Skippy never switched over from poppy loving Pacifists to Stone Cold Killer even after I used it to finish off alot of mobs! Now I have both guns and no complaints but Skippy is not my strongest gun.
I definitely think that Skippy is the funniest/most interesting gun in the game, no question. Is it the strongest gun? Hell no...but I wish i made different choices while picking it up :/
the dps on this gun as a legendary is 781 it shoots 4 rounds per shot targets 6 and has electrical damage 151 -185 damage and 4.54 attacks per second . or well thats what mine happened to be thats with no mods in it
Did not work actually. Installing Pax mode on it. I guess without that gun it is more fun, gotta work the aim, run and hide. That gun makes everything so easy, even on hardest game level.
Crazy. I looked this spot a few days ago and completely missed this gun. Your video gave me such an OP gun lol. Wayyyyy better than Skippy as a legendary gun. Have a sub.
I never got the mission to return the gun. I never cared for it much as I had better guns already as the Divided we stand did more damage and was homing too and with the gear, perks, and cyberware I was critting almost every shot. If I needed something stronger or to shoot through walls I used Comrade's Hammer. Later I stopped using Divided We Stand because the home cybernetic stopped working for me for some reason. I went to a silenced Archangel instead and that this was a beast. It was an auto crit every shot and did WAY more damage than Skippy, especially with a head shot.
You can jump the wall easily without vehicle. The pistol at legendary has 4 mod slots making it much better than Skippy or yukimura. FYI yukimura is also better than Skippy but only 2 slots
Yep, other guys commented that you can double jump over. Frankly I struggled with getting over the rocks using double jump, so that’s why the bike. Maybe for guys at low level without double jump cyberwear, they would still need a bike to get there 👌
As soon as I got Genjiroh and left the estate, I got a text from Regina wanting to know if I wanted a dumb version of Skippy. She had a story as to why she was offering it to V. Genjiroh has better specs.
Great video. Like other have stated I got in with double jump after getting t motorcycles glitched in the rocks XD but my question is what's in that double door room upstairs? No actions are giving when you approach it. I'm level 18 but haven't met with takemura yet, so I'm guessing it's part of the main story. Anyways thanks for the gun.
I started a new playthrough, this time I corrected a few mistakes I make on my first goround, and picked PUPPY loving mode lol, so basically get your 50 kills but play as though your in melee range or it REALLY drags out and you end up flatlined, get face to face while firing and the enemies go down alot faster until you can then revert to stone cold killer 😉 easy peasy
This. I think the only experimental functionality of Skippy is it spontaniously shooting without you actually firing, when you just aim. You aim and it shoots...but other than that it always hits a headshot, unless you fighting Tiger Claws with the jammer against smart weapons ^^
I love that pistol so much. The Smart Arasaka prototype Smg is so good too. But it's way to over powered and makes the game to easy. I had to start using swords to even out the battles haha
I see no problem with that. Lore-wise, we play as the strongest being on the planet, capable taking out another psychopathic being that tanked a nuke to the back and survived. Would be weird to be some hippie out of nowhere and struggle against some underpaid security guards, lol.
Honestly, skippy is alright but there are other guns that do far more damage even without headshots. I think there's 3 iconic Overtures and they can all be equipped with a silencer too, so that's great for stealth. You can also buy a Legendary one from a vendor. The basic DR-12 Quasar can be crafted as a legendary with amazing rolls. It's a tech revolver so can benefit from tech and handgun perks. My Quazar has more dps with limbs shots than skippy with headshots and it can shoot through cover. Commrade's hammer is absolutely overkill but its low fire rate makes it less practical, but again you can craft it and reroll for stats. If pistols aren't your thing, Breakthrough is a craftable legendary with absurd damage and penetration. Overwatch and Widow Maker fill the stealth and high-fire rate niches respectively. Skippy is a great meme but its effectiveness doesn't scale that well into late game, even if you lock it into headshot mode. It's a good levelling gun though because its auto-scaling saves you upgrade mats.
Agreed, I loved Skippy for the memes and just the overall uniqueness of the gun. It isn't even that great at the end of the day but definitely fun. To me currently Quasar and Genjiroh are my main weaps, but I still need to get the Overwatch sniper rifle and Lizzie. And many more I guess but these are the main ones on my list ^^
This is hilarious I have this gun right now and it reminded me of Skippy so I searched Skippy videos and saw this and had to click of course 😂 I like how this pistol is full auto at hip fire but burst when aimed down sights.
Do you think its possible to get up there to that float because i tried at one point... i also tried to hop the fence at the edge of the map and actually did end up getting up there but there was an invisible wall above the fence blocking me Side note it is actually possible to get into arasaka HQ when you're not supposed to and i found a secret way onto the roof but i climbed around all over the rooftops there and couldn't find anything besides a bunch of guards to shoot and some turrets... besides a progression shard inside a robot inside the non-fenced area you can normally get to off the street
funny thing: seems no one ever tried modding skippy with that non lethal mod. Pick Headshot mode, equip mod, be happy till the end of the game with an OP skippy
@@armandomelendez9902 I actually ended up going with 20 Reflexes, Cool is at 16 right now. You can literally sneak through the whole thing right into the office where Genjiroh is located, so you can go there the second you complete the 1st act and the Watson lockdown is lifted, the rest of the Cyberpunk world becomes accessible. Usually that's around level 8 or so I guess
@@DPDanielPlays Good. I'm at 13 now and I have skippy permanently on stone cold killer mode. I just made tons of magazines for all my weapons, and am armed to the teeth.
Personally I think Kerry's revolver is the strongest pistol. For primary it'll have to be the icon tech sniper. Can't remember the name. Deals constant 100k+ on non-crit and also shoots through walls.
In version 2.0 if you return Skippy to the owner you will lose it. BUT if you drop 1 weapon and then drop Skippy then return Skippy and then pick up your dropped weapon you will have a duplicate Skippy and be able to keep it and I think it works in 2.1
Come on. All you have to do is go to the North Oak Sign fast travel point. You come out looking at the mech and 2 guards, turn right and go straight up the hill. Hey there's a wall there and some boulders look at that. Jump on the boulder and then double jump. Bam you're over the wall.

I don’t mind hearing skippy yell at me when I go for a weapon. It reminds me of the good times we had together
btw you can just double jump over the wall if you go a little further past the rocks. There are also some nice legendary mods up on the bar on the roof, so I would suggest to explore the entire house!
Also you can single-jump using fortified ankles.
People over-rate double jump and miss out on superior accessibility with ankles.
“The gun will be pissed at you” 🤣 never thought id hear that sentence
xD
Pick pacifist mode first then let it go to killer mode wait for to tell you to return him and say no.. At that point you and dupe it give it to regina finishing the quest, put another in the vault so it can go on the wall and keep a third to use
you can accept his request but never go through with it, that way he's not annoying about it
Tell him you will return him.
Would have been a great tip, haven't touched Cyberpunk in over a year tho XD
If you go on the roof of that Arasaka house in the bar area under the counter there is also a legendary Sandevistan Arasaka Software mod (70% more time to notice you)
Oh and if you have the double jump you can into that place very easily even just next to the front gate (where you drive up to enter normally). For those that don’t know you will visit that place choose to side with Hanako Arasaka during the end game. So if you plan on taking that route you can grab it then.
I might go back to look for that legendary sandevistan, I was sure I scouted the whole place but haven’t noticed that one. Thanks!
Literally got in through the front gate with double jump
You can also get this pistol in an off room while taking out the snipers in Kabuki in the Takemura questline.
Yep! You can get a second one during that mission :)
Just pick stone cold and put a non-lethal mod on it. It will still headshot like crazy forever.
You can also select the no I'm keeping you option. Then go to Regina and return it to her but the twist is when you go to put Skippy on the table you drop one gun first and then Skippy since it removes the quest item status and it'll dupe and you can keep Skippy and complete the mission 🤷
@@whozurdaddyva well for me at least, that doesn't work anymore
@@xhana_ you selected the no I'm keeping you option and dropped a gun first and then Skippy during the animation of V placing it on the table?
IF you have the double jump or super jump legs, you can climb over the fence left of the main gate in to the mansion.
Hah I wish I would have gotten that warning xD
I think it’s cool that you reply to all the comments , also thanks for the video because I also chose stone cold killer first 😂
I try my best!
Sure thing! Hope you enjoy it, it’s a beast 😈
You can get the Genjiroh even relatively early on.. but also:
Set skippy to headshot mode manually:
Game.SetDebugFact("mq007_skippy_aim_at_head", 1)
Which one is better genjiroh or Skippy with headshots lock I currently have both of them and a second genjiroh
The damage multiplier is much better on Gejiroh, it does way more dmg, so I would say Genjiroh fosure.
Ive found this gun like 5 times already, kept the best one and scrapped the rest because I am greatness in the flesh.
NIce job. If you have the reinforced tendons cyberware mod you don't need the bike to jump over the wall.
Because you technically ARE a terminator.
Lore-wise V is leagues and leagues against terminator.
Hell no...but I wish i made different choices while picking it up :/
you can get the gun twice, once in the arasaka mansion and also during the parade in japantown, just an fyi XD
2 minutes into the video... "Before we get into the video guys,...."
the dps on this gun as a legendary is 781 it shoots 4 rounds per shot targets 6 and has electrical damage 151 -185 damage and 4.54 attacks per second . or well thats what mine happened to be thats with no mods in it
I’ve seen one with 1153 dps without any mods, 50% crit and 126% crit damage, also almost 4 headshot multiplier. It can get pretty crazy with mods
Skippy has a better personality
There is a way around the puppy loving mode all you have to do is make it a non lethal weapon and it will stay a headshot killer.
Yeah too late for me lol, but maybe for some other guys reading this, it will be helpful!
really? damn gotta try, still haven't gave it back.
@@loikvokhidov7688 I still have the gun I'm and I am near level 27 going on 28 still going
Have a sub.
Glad you found it! Cheers for the sub :)
I got the Genjiroh on my 1st play through and promptly tossed in V's Apt Stash and forgot about it.
😂🤦♂️
I found a similar gun on the last mission and it tore Adam smasher up. Problem was I couldn't keep it after the mission. .
Plot twist: @3:00 those brave souls are off to populate the elite dangerous universe.
Pick stone cold killer then drop a pax module before to 50 kills
Or just pick puppy loving pacifist and have it switch to stone cold killer after 50, make sure you have short circuit off tho
I used double jump and landed in the swimming pool, hehe! but 'got there' in the end. Cheers buddy!
I found out it changed after 50 kills after I already chose stone cold killer, so I just put a non leather mod on it
I got this gun during the mission where you kill the snipers during the parade. It was in a weapon locker you need 11 tech ability to open.
Yep! Looks like you can actually get two of those, so hopefully you get lucky with better stats picking one or the other ^^
You can jump the wall easily without vehicle.
Maybe for guys at low level without double jump cyberwear, they would still need a bike to get there 👌
@@DPDanielPlays you can just katana fly tho
As soon as I got Genjiroh and left the estate, I got a text from Regina wanting to know if I wanted a dumb version of Skippy.
She had a story as to why she was offering it to V. Genjiroh has better specs.
Great video. Like other have stated I got in with double jump after getting t motorcycles glitched in the rocks XD but my question is what's in that double door room upstairs? No actions are giving when you approach it. I'm level 18 but haven't met with takemura yet, so I'm guessing it's part of the main story. Anyways thanks for the gun.
Glad it helped! Yeah I’m thinking it’s part of the mission, or just fake door lol
Legendary Genjiro is awesome. Though unlike others it seems like i was the only one who was just able to climb up the rocks to get over the wall, lol
Lol no double jump? I wonder what was doing damage to me then when I was trying to get up the rocks 🤦♂️
I was able to do it without double jump to
But you don't really need a bike if you have the dubble jump then your good to go. To get the gun.
Thanks for the trick, and you Can also double jump from the walla at the left of arasaka's mansion door. It's easy to do ;)
Skippy doesn’t always 100% headshot though. It sometimes decides just to miss all the shots. It’s a temperamental piece.
Were you shooting tiger claws when you experienced this? Tiger claws have jamming cyberware that make smart weapons useless against them.
Yeah man some weapons can be way too OP. Genjiroh is a good mix of OP but still within reason haha
Comrade's Hammer is the best- ridiculous power and ammo efficiency especially if you spec your headshot damage.
I tried it man, don't really like the re-load after every shot. I think for that weapon having the perk that increases re-load speed is a necessity ^^
There is a Legendary Sandevistan: Arasaka Software in the bar on the roof. You have to take out or avoid one guard.
Yep! I missed that one on my first runthrough :)
This is hilarious I have this gun right now and it reminded me of Skippy so I searched Skippy videos and saw this and had to click of course 😂
I like how this pistol is full auto at hip fire but burst when aimed down sights.
Buuuut it doesn't talk back and insult you like Skippy does xD
I used the van that was out front and drove around the back and jumped up I think I was like level 5
Do you think its possible to get up there to that float because i tried at one point...
i also tried to hop the fence at the edge of the map and actually did end up getting up there but there was an invisible wall above the fence blocking me
Side note it is actually possible to get into arasaka HQ when you're not supposed to and i found a secret way onto the roof but i climbed around all over the rooftops there and couldn't find anything besides a bunch of guards to shoot and some turrets... besides a progression shard inside a robot inside the non-fenced area you can normally get to off the street
Somebody here loves to explore a lot :D Not sure man, I wish there was a way to get onto that floating aircraft -.- If you find a way, let me know!
if you choose puppy version first it permanently becomes stone cold killer
Yeah, wish I knew this earlier :/
@@DPDanielPlays answere that you return him back, after that go duplicate him.. thats it
funny thing: seems no one ever tried modding skippy with that non lethal mod. Pick Headshot mode, equip mod, be happy till the end of the game with an OP skippy
i can confirm that this gun is still existing in 22th of june 2023 exactly as you show in the video :D
Hey play Greedfall if y havent. Its a A RPG but its Like a AAA. Its really good.
So glad I invested in Technical Ability
Technical 18, Reflexes 18, Cool 20 = absolutely broken (though all the trees are really)
@@Supreme_Court. that’s my exact plan lmao I have 20 cool now lvl 28
@@armandomelendez9902 I actually ended up going with 20 Reflexes, Cool is at 16 right now. Those last couple of perks besides the resistance perk just don't seem worth it compared to the Reflex ones, and I can use armor mods to make up for that one. I'm max level now, 20 Reflexes, 18 Technical, 16 Cool, 9 Body, 7 Intelligence, got 1 point left over.
@@Supreme_Court. i use a poison knife build so that 20 cool was essential for me
Funny, I didnt even know who or what Skippy was. I found a message in Araska warehouse about advanced weaponry or something in a storage container so I grabbed it.
When I found "Skippy " near the end of my 1st playthru I didnt even use it lol
@@nevasoba5953 I will definitely make different choices in my second play through with Skippy so I can keep it. The sassiness of the gun is hilarious 😂
Dont need the bike. At the corner where Dan jumped, you can climb that corner of rock and again up the wall
What level do you recommend to invade the Arasaka Mansion?
You can literally sneak through the whole thing right into the office where Genjiroh is located, so you can go there the second you complete the 1st act and the Watson lockdown is lifted, the rest of the Cyberpunk world becomes accessible. Usually that's around level 8 or so I guess

Yep! That's the second one you can get in the game. Apparently the stats are the same though, someone mentioned that in the comments earlier.
That's were I got it. Before the meeting at the Mansion with Dear old sister.
U could save before dropping down lol to make it easier to reroll the gun stats
I should have! Didn't know the stat re-roll trick yet at that point ^^
Personally I think Kerry's revolver is the strongest pistol. For primary it'll have to be the icon tech sniper. Can't remember the name. Deals constant 100k+ on non-crit and also shoots through walls.
There's also a legendary arasaka version sandevision up under the bar on the roof.
In version 2.0 if you return Skippy to the owner you will lose it. BUT if you drop 1 weapon and then drop Skippy then return Skippy and then pick up your dropped weapon you will have a duplicate Skippy and be able to keep it and I think it works in 2.1
i just climbed over a wall using the rocks by the fast travel point and ran inside and back out at level 17 😂 without being spotted gotta love perks
To me I like playing with Lizzie or chaos. Granted any weapon is viable in this game.
Come on. All you have to do is go to the North Oak Sign fast travel point. You come out looking at the mech and 2 guards, turn right and go straight up the hill. Hey there's a wall there and some boulders look at that. Jump on the boulder and then double jump. Bam you're over the wall.
