That's where they get you, they make a big thing of the 25 year guarantee but that's just on the carcass, the doors only have 5 years and that info is hidden in the contract, it's not advertised. This kitchen is within the 5 years but it's likely they will make a claim through section 75 rather than getting new doors that will likely fail shortly afterwards. You don't buy a kitchen if you have to buy a new one 5 years later.
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT Just literally finished putting 2 new doors on this morning that wren sent me. I’ve had the kitchen 4 years and 2 doors bubbled last month. I phoned customer aftersales and all they asked for was 2 photos and sent me new doors. Not a good quality kitchen but they will send you new ones
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT I thought the 25 year guarantee was on the doors aswell. I haven’t read the small print though. It’s very poor isn’t it. I’d never buy another wren kitchen now. Prob wouldn’t buy a kitchen with a laminate door full stop.
@@timevans6928 unfortunately the doors aren't covered under the 25yrs, they hide the 5 year part and don't mention it to you, if you dig out your paperwork it's on there. You can peel the wrap off and get them painted though, but that's a few grand you wouldn't expect to be forking out so soon 😩
Ive seen so many people posting video with this wren issue, what a joke. You would think they care about there reputation over something that is possible to get right as others do. Im was thinking of using DIY kitchens, not idea if they are painted of plastic covered
You get different types of constructions, some are painted wood and others vinyl wrapped etc. I think I'd always go for a painted option cause you can always repaint them, it's abit more difficult with vinyl wrapped kitchens though
yep same issue and all they offer is replacemnet panels with £150 towards fitment - who is going to regrout and seal worktops and fit awkward end panels for that money? Previous kitchen lasted from the 1970's but wren lasts 2 years!
Keep on at them, you need to get 3 quotes and they will pay up for you to have it replaced. Although you won't know how long the next panels and doors will last 😬
I went to have a look at Wren Kitchen and thought them overpriced for the quality, I went to Howdens in Chester instead, the units were made up for you so just a matter of fitting them.
Had this on 3 end panels. Thought it was just steam getting in behind as they weren't sealed (4th end panel was fitted by someone else, was sealed and hasn't had this problem). Just discovered today that a door panel has 'popped' in the middle. Annoyed to say the least.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator they said they'd replace the doors and panels under the warranty and pay for the labour. However the money they offered only covers half of what the estimates have been. They want an intemised quote to pay any more, which a tradesman will never waste their time doing 😬 He was lead to believe the warranty was 25yrs but was told the warranty on the doors was only 8yrs then 7yrs then 5yrs and now 10yrs (the paperwork, which is allegedly a misprint said 5).
Id be spitting feathers 🤗
They give you 25 year guarantee why don’t you go speak to them

@@timevans6928 but what's your plan next year when the rest go and you're just outside the 5 years warranty?

Hi mate, take a look at diy kitchens if you haven't already 👍🏻
Hey, this is the in-laws kitchen 😬 I think I'm going to just make my own kitchen for the house if I can 😅 only myself to blame them hey 🤣
DIY kitchens is amazing. Nothing beats making it yourself if you have the time

I have the exact same problem. 18 doors and 11 popped like that. 2 have cracked as well. Previous owner put the kitchen in 4 years ago. Wren are junk
Sorry to hear that 😕 I know I'll never shop there again, this has happened to loads of people

Yes the end panels go first, then all of the doors go next
have they all gone like it or just the ones near steam from a kettle?
90% of the kitchen has delaminated
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT what have Wren said?
