I just bought the double oven version of this and it arrived today. I haven't even used it yet. My old freestanding double oven died and I needed a new one. I like double ovens because the top oven is safer for my adult developmentally disabled daughter to use. What brought me to your video is when I ordered this online I didn't realize there was a griddle. When I removed all the packaging from the oven, I was asking ,myself what the heck is this big clunky piece? Your video solved the great mystery of the griddle for me. :D Thanks for such a detailed review of this oven, you really put a lot of effort sharing all the features. I especially liked learning about Grill Eye and will go buy one.
I now have a Grill Eye and a Meater thermometer. I honestly like the ease of use with the Meater better, but the versatility and high heat of the Grill Eye better. In my oven I use the Meater unless I have multiple temps to take. On the grill I use the Grill Eye because my grill often gets over 500 degrees ambient temp and the Meater can't handle it. So any single item low temp (under 500) I try to use the Meater. Anything high temp or multiple items to measure I use the Grill Eye.

I have this model. I use the drawer for my All Clad pot tops. That's about all it holds. I use the griddle all the time. It's a great feature. Meat cooks so much better on the griddle than in a pan. K-bobs turn out great on the griddle. Veggies do also. I'm addicted to the griddle in the summer. I haven't used the air fryer yet. It's been a great appliance. The only problem is that the oven light went out and the cover wouldn't come off to replace it the light. It had to be changed twice by the repair company. The glass top is very sensitive. I've had 2 other glass top stoves and they didn't scratch as easily as the Samsung does. But I really like the range. The convection seems to work very well.

Great video... use the app to cut off jingle... you can also control lights and program a few other things. Strange also connects to smart TV (Samsung) and will come on screen with preheat and other unfo. I didn't know until something popped up on my screen. Freaked me out. "Oven is now preheated"
Thank you for just a simple honest review. One question. The drip pan you used under the air fry basket…. Did that also come with the unit or was that a separate purchase? And if it was a separate purchase what size is it?
That is a standard sheet pan. They sell fairly cheap ones at Sam's club, but I use an old nonstick one we have but never use. You could use any sheet pan you have and line it with foil if you don't want stuff to burn or stick to it.

Could not get it to work like that on this one. Flipped it like you have it in this one and have been worried it was wrong. Seems like samsung is like this?
I just purchased this range to replace my 35 year old drop in. The burn in process which I have never heard of, I'm concerned because I have cats that I can't put outside. Will they be safe in a bedroom with door shut and windows open? I'm going to open my kitchen windows and use fans. Any knowledge is appreciated. Thanks
I use cerama bryte stove top cleaner package. It's a razor, scrubber, and ceramic cleaner. Something like barkeepers friend also works. I have a couple of minor scratches that can be seen when looking from a specific angle in a specific lighting situation, but nothing super noticeable. Those did not come from cleaning, but from normal use. I just got my range last Saturday and tried air frying fries and I think I'm going to par-boil them for a bit before air frying next time to see if they will crisp up more evenly. I think the amount of time that raw potatoes have to cook is a little long for them to come out right. Not sure. It's going to be a learning curve!
Air frying regular potato fries will NEVER be the same as dunking them in a fryer full of oil. It will never come out the same, never as crisp. Frozen, sure they will turn out similar, maybe even better. But I'll stick to frying regular potatoes in oil.
@@knockout7611 Makes sense. I tried par-boiling them and it did make a difference. I like them enough that I will continue making them that way, cutting them thin enough (slightly larger than matchstick size) to get a crisp edge. I haven't tried air frying any frozen fries yet.
I just got mine yesterday & I am so confused lol! I baked cookies & was told that on convection oven I need to lower the temperature 25 degree. I have some homework to do on this oven!
Getting my Samsung Stove like this tomorrow - 03-13-2023. Do you store the griddle and the air fryer tray in the bottom drawer? You can hear the fan when it is on convection or air fry, but I haven't found it to be to noisy. I'm not sure what to compare it to, but it is quieter than our microwave.
Ok so I just received my stove today and it says in the instructions to thoroughly clean the oven before using it for the first time. Did you clean the oven before you set it to 400 degrees for an hour? If so what did you use to clean the oven before setting it to 400 degrees?
@@timothysumner5063 the 400 degree 1 hour is the initial cleaning cycle. It will smoke some and smell because it is burning off residue from the manufacturing process. No need to clean before
looks like you have standard 24in cabinets .. a lot of these ranges are like 28 - 29 inches .. my kitchen is really tiny, i know its just a few inches sticking out, but might have to look for something not as deep
Great video and very informative. I'm assuming you've been using the range for few years now, how do you like it so far? was it a good purchase? I'm thinking of buying one but I saw some reviews online that the top gets scratched and breaks easily, not sure if they were honest reviews or not.
I have had it and used it daily for a few years now. The top does scratch, but not more than any normal glass top. It is black so may show more than some with grey or fake textured areas. If you want it to look nice you can easily clean it and the scratches are hard to see without a direct light over it. I don't feel it is any better or worse than any other glass top stove I have used.
Just got mine today. Was a little worried they couldn't install the anti tip bracket. Also had a couple of minor things. Also have a very small ding on the right side of the oven door. Rep said she would have the team they are sending out to check on it.
So is there anyway to avoid having to clean the rack that the oil drips on during the air fry use? I'm trying to find a way to use the air fryer but not have all the clean up!
I like to air fry a lot and thats why i bought this stove. Not delivered yet. We know there will be drippings from most anything we airfry. That must make a huge mess in the oven? does adding a catch pan mess up the air fry at all as far as even cooking? Does it come with its own catch pan?
Doesn't come with its own. I use aluminum foil on another pan or just an old pan we don't use normally depending on the food. You could always set the lower shelf farther down to help with any issues, but it's been fine for us.
thank you for posting this. when the oven timer beeps, does the oven turn off or does it keep beeping while maintaining the same temp? I am researching and very much hoping it doesn't beep once and turn off like I read.
It is like every oven I have ever owned in that it has 2 timers. The timer I normally use is the regular one labeled "timer" if you look at the pics on home Depot. This timer will go off and does not make any change to the oven. The other timer is called "cook time" and it will shut off the heat when the timer is done. Most ovens from the last 20 years have two timers that function in this way. You just need to know which one you are using.
This Samsung electric range has cheap temperature decals that wash off when cleaning the area around the knobs. This flaw is not covered by the purchased warranty. But Samsung sells replacement decals that cost them about $1 for $47. Great profit margin for Samsung at the customer's expense.
Yes, some Sam's club wings and breaded wings. Both came out great, but did take longer than the air fry instructions say, but less than the baking instructions say. Just be sure to temp them and make sure they are done.
Not sure what you mean. Press the button with the cook type you want (bake, air fry, broil, etc), type the temp you want, and press start. If you're having trouble look at the instruction book that came with the oven.
Hi I have the same one is it normal that click sound that makes every other minute ? Also that the cook top turns off often does not stay on like it should
The clock is the fan or heating element turning on and off saving you energy and money as it keeps it at the right temp. The cooktop shuts off for the same reason. If it stays on the entire time it would be way to hot.
Hi, what is the proofing/dehydration temp? The lowest/ highest? Can't find temps anywhere. Wish they included it! ( Important for milk cultures ( like yogurt/ sour cream) and dehydration ( done herbs/fruit) Thank you!
When I press dehydrate it auto goes to 150, but I can lower that or raise that as needed. Proofing auto sets to 95, but again can be changed. Not sure what temp you need.

All glass cook tops will get scratched no matter what you do. Just make sure you keep it as free of crumbs as possible, including salt, pepper, etc. Wipe it before and after use. Make sure your cookware doesn't have anything on the bottom either, but no matter what you will scratch it.
I bought a slightly damaged unit at a liquidation store and this is my first time using it. Turning on bake and it’s making a low humming noise. Is that a concern?
I set the clock on mine using the app. It did it automatically. Otherwise on mine it is just a simple button, but the model you listed is different than my model number.
There are 4 burners the 5th is a warming burner only, but yes they operate separately. The front burner knob can be turned left to activate the burner only and right to activate the burner and the middle part of the griddle section. This is similar to the right front burner which has three sizes and uses three knob position options to activate the three different sizes.
Slide: some, especially if the surface isn't clean. Scratch: I haven't had that issue. Mine has very few minor scratches, but not from the griddle, just normal wear and tear.
You can hear a click and very slight hum when the heat cycles on an off to keep it at the correct temperature. It is louder, but not loud, when it is in air fry mode or convection mode. Can you hear it, yes, is it loud or annoying no. Especially after you cook with it a couple of times you don't notice the noise anymore.
From shipping/unboxing no. Scratches on the cooktop from use, a few light ones since we got it, but no different than any other ceramic cooktop. It came in mint condition and is still in great condition despite the demands of a family of 5.
I connect mine to my phone and set it through the app. You can also hit the button on the bottom right of the numbers that looks like a clock and type it in that way.
If you have the air fry version of this range it has an air fry button. Mine has bake (convection), roast convection, bake, broil, air fry, keep warm, bread proof, dehydrate, steam clean, and smart clean options.
No you can't. You can see if it is on or off, but since the burners still use a traditional dial to turn on if you shut it off from the app the dial would not reflect that.
If you have the air fry version there is a button that says air fry right below bake on the far left side of the options. Then you type in the temp you want like normal. I've found it takes a little longer than a stand alone air fryer and sometimes I up the temp 10-15 degrees.
@@sabrinab4245 I live in Ontario, Canada. My delivery came today. The air fry tray, griddle, and cord were all included. I simply plugged in and it's ready to go. No need to buy cord separately and do the wire connection.
Not sure. Mine stands flat and doesn't wobble, but it will slide if the food sticks or I hit it with a different pan. So if you are meaning it slides, that is normal on a glass/ceramic flat top if you are meaning it is uneven then something is under it, stuck on it, or something on yours is deformed.
Not sure what happened with yours, but I checked the model I have and it still includes the tray. Not all air fry models include the tray so I am guessing you got a different model. According to Home Depot and Samsungs websites my model includes the tray, the model below mine does not. the nice thing is the special tray isn't required. You can use a cookie cooling rack sitting on top of a normal tray with no issues. I actually do this regularly because I sometimes air fry 2 different items with 2 cooking times and want to easily grab one tray out and I only have the one samsung provided tray. If your install manual was not included and the tray wasn't included and you know you got the exact model I did (NE63A6711SS, with the griddle option, currently $950 at Home Depot) maybe you got a previously opened item. It is also possible, but less likely, that it was a simple mistake and contacting Samsung, not me, may fix the issue.
Over a year now and still going great. I did my research and didn't want a washer from them or a refrigerator, but the ranges have done well. My still does everything great and is definitely an upgrade over what we had.
Yes I do. I don't really have any new complaints. The air fry option gets used at least once a week. The stove top everyday. Bake or broil every couple of days. I've used the oven clean function twice and it works well. Just wipe when done.

I bought this model for the air fryer, and the griddle. The griddle is horrible. Everything sticks to it, and it slides all over the place. Very disappointed.
That's odd that you are having issues with the griddle sticking. Yes I agree it can slide some, but I use it for eggs (fried & scrambled), pancakes, bacon, quesadillas, and grilled cheese with 0 issues. I've even done some cheese crunches directly on it with no issues. Are you using butter, cooking spray, or something else to help? What is sticking? The sliding of the griddle occurs some, but for me it is mainly when I bump it not when cooking because it does so well not sticking to food. Sorry you have had a different experience.

Still great! Oven modes are great, we use air fry, bake, convection bake, and broil regularly. The stove top and griddle work great as well. My main negative is keeping the top clean, but it is the same as any ceramic/glass top. Starting to see some minor scratches in the top also, but again it is typical of any glass top. If I could I would go gas, but my house isn't set up for it and I didn't want to convert. Plus the health issues they say may come from gas, maybe the glass top is as good of an option as any. So overall it is still great!
SAMSUNG 101....DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!.....I have a practically new SAMSUNG electric stove that has almost started a fire in my home a half dozen times! It has a manufacturer's/engineering defect....the knobs turn on with the slightest touch or bump! It happened again today and I called them again for the 4th time and they said "USER ERROR!" which they always retort to. They'd rather spend $1500 sending (5) technicians out for a non-tech issue, than to replace a $1600 stove...which may cost them only $400 to replace (mind boggling!) ....and adds insult to injury! At this point I'm livid!.....It happened again today and the glass covers I keep on the cooktop when not in use shattered sending hot glass shards all over my kitchen, which are now stuck to the top of the stove and my countertop. Thankfully no one walked in the kitchen at the time, that would have been a travesty! After the first 2 times I told them I wanted it out of my house because I didn't feel safe and they shrugged it off. I have their family hub refrigerator , it 's going out of my house along with the stove and I will never buy anything with the name "SAMSUNG" on it again. When it comes to customer service and standing behind their products, these people are callous and evil!...SHOP ELSEWHERE! Sorry for your bad experience, but that doesn't match my 3xperience with this stove at all. The knobs for the burners are not easy to accidentally move as they require a slight push in to get them to turn. I double checked this morning and if I wiggle them and try to turn them without pushing in slightly they don't move at all. I would not purchase a Samsung washer or refrigerator as I have read bad things about them. As far as ranges and electronics I have had a great experience and 0 issues. I hope your issues get resolved, but again they do not match my experience so I didn't review it the same way you would. Have a great day!

I did it with my entire family home and our dog. It smells funny, but is not dangerous. Open some windows and use a fan, it will be good.

I store the griddle and several baking sheets and cooling racks in the bottom. I had to move pans elsewhere.

The anti tip isn't really required it is just extra protection in case you have kids who might try to climb on the oven door or something.

When you airfried the bacon did the water in the bottom pan keep from smoking? Only used the airfry once for chicken legs and smoked the whole house.
Yes that is what the water pan is for. If you air fry anything with much fat it will drip and smoke without they water in the pan.

I like to air fry a lot and thats why i bought this stove. Not delivered yet. We know there will be drippings from most anything we airfry. That must make a huge mess in the oven? does adding a catch pan mess up the air fry at all as far as even cooking? Does it come with its own catch pan?
Doesn't come with its own. I use aluminum foil on another pan or just an old pan we don't use normally depending on the food. You could always set the lower shelf farther down to help with any issues, but it's been fine for us.

thank you for posting this. when the oven timer beeps, does the oven turn off or does it keep beeping while maintaining the same temp? I am researching and very much hoping it doesn't beep once and turn off like I read.
It is like every oven I have ever owned in that it has 2 timers. The timer I normally use is the regular one labeled "timer" if you look at the pics on home Depot. This timer will go off and does not make any change to the oven. The other timer is called "cook time" and it will shut off the heat when the timer is done. Most ovens from the last 20 years have two timers that function in this way. You just need to know which one you are using.

Did you have to wipe out the oven after the initial Burn Off?
This Samsung electric range has cheap temperature decals that wash off when cleaning the area around the knobs. This flaw is not covered by the purchased warranty. But Samsung sells replacement decals that cost them about $1 for $47. Great profit margin for Samsung at the customer's expense.

Yes, some Sam's club wings and breaded wings. Both came out great, but did take longer than the air fry instructions say, but less than the baking instructions say. Just be sure to temp them and make sure they are done.

Not sure what you mean. Press the button with the cook type you want (bake, air fry, broil, etc), type the temp you want, and press start.
If you're having trouble look at the instruction book that came with the oven.
Hi I have the same one is it normal that click sound that makes every other minute ? Also that the cook top turns off often does not stay on like it should
The clock is the fan or heating element turning on and off saving you energy and money as it keeps it at the right temp. The cooktop shuts off for the same reason. If it stays on the entire time it would be way to hot.
Do you have a part number for the griddle? I can’t find it anywhere, everyone I find is for a gas oven only.

Hi, what is the proofing/dehydration temp? The lowest/ highest? Can't find temps anywhere. Wish they included it! ( Important for milk cultures ( like yogurt/ sour cream) and dehydration ( done herbs/fruit) Thank you!
When I press dehydrate it auto goes to 150, but I can lower that or raise that as needed. Proofing auto sets to 95, but again can be changed. Not sure what temp you need.
when you do the initial clean and heat the oven is it on the clean oven option or just on oven? and do we leave the middle compartment in the oven also?
Leave the racks in the oven and run it on a normal oven baking cycle. I believe the instructions may tell you a temp and time.
Wish that Samsung would have given us the directions when we buy the stove instead of having to download them !

All glass cook tops will get scratched no matter what you do. Just make sure you keep it as free of crumbs as possible, including salt, pepper, etc. Wipe it before and after use. Make sure your cookware doesn't have anything on the bottom either, but no matter what you will scratch it.

I set the clock on mine using the app. It did it automatically. Otherwise on mine it is just a simple button, but the model you listed is different than my model number.
Does the burners under the Griddle work seperately? So if I needed 5 burners, can I do that without using the griddle?
There are 4 burners the 5th is a warming burner only, but yes they operate separately. The front burner knob can be turned left to activate the burner only and right to activate the burner and the middle part of the griddle section.
This is similar to the right front burner which has three sizes and uses three knob position options to activate the three different sizes.
What if you have an iPhone?
Does the griddle tend to slide around and scratch the cook top? That's my main concern
Slide: some, especially if the surface isn't clean. Scratch: I haven't had that issue.
Mine has very few minor scratches, but not from the griddle, just normal wear and tear.
Does this oven make noise during the regular baking?
You can hear a click and very slight hum when the heat cycles on an off to keep it at the correct temperature. It is louder, but not loud, when it is in air fry mode or convection mode. Can you hear it, yes, is it loud or annoying no. Especially after you cook with it a couple of times you don't notice the noise anymore.
I see a lot of comments about scratched surfaces, did you see anything like that?
From shipping/unboxing no. Scratches on the cooktop from use, a few light ones since we got it, but no different than any other ceramic cooktop. It came in mint condition and is still in great condition despite the demands of a family of 5.
How do you set the clock. Theirs an hour glass flashing on the screen
I connect mine to my phone and set it through the app. You can also hit the button on the bottom right of the numbers that looks like a clock and type it in that way.

If you have the air fry version of this range it has an air fry button. Mine has bake (convection), roast convection, bake, broil, air fry, keep warm, bread proof, dehydrate, steam clean, and smart clean options.

I have not had any issues with the oven light. It works great.
So, you can’t turn off a burner from the app?
No you can't. You can see if it is on or off, but since the burners still use a traditional dial to turn on if you shut it off from the app the dial would not reflect that.
Can you help with instructions on how to turn on air fryer?
If you have the air fry version there is a button that says air fry right below bake on the far left side of the options. Then you type in the temp you want like normal. I've found it takes a little longer than a stand alone air fryer and sometimes I up the temp 10-15 degrees.

It is mesh, so not compared to a normal sheet pan. It isn't bad though, I use a metal cast iron scrubber and it works.

I saw a version in the US with no griddle (still included air fry) and a version with no air fry or griddle as well.

Why is my gridle shaking ? Not stable ?
Not sure. Mine stands flat and doesn't wobble, but it will slide if the food sticks or I hit it with a different pan. So if you are meaning it slides, that is normal on a glass/ceramic flat top if you are meaning it is uneven then something is under it, stuck on it, or something on yours is deformed.

Not sure what happened with yours, but I checked the model I have and it still includes the tray. Not all air fry models include the tray so I am guessing you got a different model. According to Home Depot and Samsungs websites my model includes the tray, the model below mine does not. the nice thing is the special tray isn't required. You can use a cookie cooling rack sitting on top of a normal tray with no issues. I actually do this regularly because I sometimes air fry 2 different items with 2 cooking times and want to easily grab one tray out and I only have the one samsung provided tray.
If your install manual was not included and the tray wasn't included and you know you got the exact model I did (NE63A6711SS, with the griddle option, currently $950 at Home Depot) maybe you got a previously opened item. It is also possible, but less likely, that it was a simple mistake and contacting Samsung, not me, may fix the issue.
A Samsung range that hasn't broken down, yet??? Oh - still in the wrapper ;-).
Over a year now and still going great. I did my research and didn't want a washer from them or a refrigerator, but the ranges have done well. My still does everything great and is definitely an upgrade over what we had.
I'm thinking about buying the same one, so now that you have had it for a couple of months do you still like it and recommend it?
Yes I do. I don't really have any new complaints. The air fry option gets used at least once a week. The stove top everyday. Bake or broil every couple of days. I've used the oven clean function twice and it works well. Just wipe when done.

I bought this model for the air fryer, and the griddle. The griddle is horrible. Everything sticks to it, and it slides all over the place. Very disappointed.
That's odd that you are having issues with the griddle sticking. Yes I agree it can slide some, but I use it for eggs (fried & scrambled), pancakes, bacon, quesadillas, and grilled cheese with 0 issues. I've even done some cheese crunches directly on it with no issues. Are you using butter, cooking spray, or something else to help? What is sticking?
The sliding of the griddle occurs some, but for me it is mainly when I bump it not when cooking because it does so well not sticking to food.

How is the range so far?
Still great! Oven modes are great, we use air fry, bake, convection bake, and broil regularly. The stove top and griddle work great as well. My main negative is keeping the top clean, but it is the same as any ceramic/glass top. Starting to see some minor scratches in the top also, but again it is typical of any glass top. If I could I would go gas, but my house isn't set up for it and I didn't want to convert. Plus the health issues they say may come from gas, maybe the glass top is as good of an option as any.
So overall it is still great!

SAMSUNG 101....DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!.....I have a practically new SAMSUNG electric stove that has almost started a fire in my home a half dozen times! It has a manufacturer's/engineering defect....the knobs turn on with the slightest touch or bump! It happened again today and I called them again for the 4th time and they said "USER ERROR!" which they always retort to. They'd rather spend $1500 sending (5) technicians out for a non-tech issue, than to replace a $1600 stove...which may cost them only $400 to replace (mind boggling!) ....and adds insult to injury! At this point I'm livid!.....It happened again today and the glass covers I keep on the cooktop when not in use shattered sending hot glass shards all over my kitchen, which are now stuck to the top of the stove and my countertop. Thankfully no one walked in the kitchen at the time, that would have been a travesty! After the first 2 times I told them I wanted it out of my house because I didn't feel safe and they shrugged it off. I have their family hub refrigerator , it 's going out of my house along with the stove and I will never buy anything with the name "SAMSUNG" on it again. When it comes to customer service and standing behind their products, these people are callous and evil!...SHOP ELSEWHERE! Sorry for your bad experience, but that doesn't match my 3xperience with this stove at all. The knobs for the burners are not easy to accidentally move as they require a slight push in to get them to turn. I double checked this morning and if I wiggle them and try to turn them without pushing in slightly they don't move at all. I would not purchase a Samsung washer or refrigerator as I have read bad things about them. As far as ranges and electronics I have had a great experience and 0 issues. I hope your issues get resolved, but again they do not match my experience so I didn't review it the same way you would. Have a great day!
