I poo-poo'd on the Bugu when it was revealed but its appearance in The Origin IV along with this review (at time of uploading) changed my mind as he's badass in the movie and this kit is pretty good. He's the first proper MS i've bought from the GF Origin line since the two HGs i already have from The Origin are the Early Guntank & Mobile Worker. Now i just have to wait for his arrival.
bandai also included mono eye movement feature on the hg Origin: Zaku (Kycilia's Forces) kit. I think it's the best hg Zaku ever made due to the 4 heat hawks, and Bullpup gun.
I just got this model a few months ago because I LOVE everything blue. This model is all about the little detail. I am just returning to model building after over 15 years. This was my first HG and I could have not of made a better choice! Plus: Eye movement is my favorite thing Looks amazing! Line details are impressive BLUE! Minus: My legs tend to slide off some times during movement(is that normal?) but stay on posed Little stickers have too much filler around them(normal?) The base I had could not fit his under mount clip provided(base too old or different?) I went with a pour marker and I was not let down. My first time playing with pour markers ordered by mistake and I love them now! I did all shield stickers but only 31 number body stickers. I hesitate on little ones. I highly suggest this! SEIG ZEON!
+Justin M the base connector I believe only works with the Action Base 2. Legs sliding off can happen if you move them a bunch, and yeah marking stickers often have thicker borders than they really need. I don't even really use them at all aside from numbers and emblems.
"My legs tend to slide off some times during movement(is that normal?) but stay on posed" Your Bugu is posessed by a dead Zeon pilot. Call an exorcist.
>>Ramba Ral is almost the only Zeon pilot to carry a shield. You do realize that the long flat piece of armor on most zaku's right shoulder is a shield, right?
Well the sheld on the zaku left arm is mounted and not welded so it will not protect it chest and it is quite small and not really protective and sheld on the zaku and bugu is both give it a little bit more protection to it
Enjoyed the review. I like the color of the Bugu and while I like the fact the tubing is not a component of the head the placement of the tubing over the shoulders is such that it interferes with a wider head rotation. The only other thing I would have loved to see is the way the legs are attached to the hips. While this slide on works it would be great to see a new kind of joint, a double ball that is attached inside the leg and pops into a polycap. still a great kit and fairly easy build.
Good point about they are all using the same articulation. I bought Demin ZAKU I and I feel like I don't need to get the other one since they all feel like the same when building. I also have HGTB PsyZaku II also why I couldn't get Char's haha nice review tho
+Mayoniez ! Yeah. It's a little slow, but it does seem pretty quiet at least. It's the one I've considered most heavily in the past. Maybe I'll get one next time I do a gear upgrade.
Channel 2S: Gunpla News and Reviews Basically every gunpla reviewers i see use it anyways so it being slow won't be a problem for the viewers. (Although if you don't like the slow rotation it would be a problem :) )
+Mayoniez ! The thing is, I try to keep my videos as short and concentrated as possible. Having to wait ages for the bloody thing to get through a full rotation would kind of throw a wrench into the pacing of the video.
i'd recommend every origin kit, especially zeon kits. the build, inner frame, gimmicks are pretty much the same, so choose whichever design you like. i've had waff and dom test type, and they were amazing!
Any of the Zeon suits are great, what I love is since they are more or less built the same you can easily mix and match parts to make your own unique looking mobile suit, so that adds more of a reason to buy more than just one.
I gotta say: I'm really disappointed in the hand quality of the HG The Origin kits. It's like they're poly material... they're really soft and don't stay together very well.
+Kumo Entertainment I use gimmick since that's what Bandai officially calls little functions like that in the manual. Yeah, the most common use of the word "gimmick" is more or less as a synonym for marketing ploy, but it can also just mean gadget.
"This is no typical hg boy"
NO TYPICAL HG
About the monoeye feature, the SD sinanju actually has that feature too.
Keith Winters which one
let's not forget: no more forearm seams!
more like no seams at all
Fun Fact: The name Bugu was originally used by the mook suits for the villains in the live action film G-Savior.

THIS IS NOT JUST ANY HG, BOY, NOT JUST ANY HG!

You do realize that the long flat piece of armor on most zaku's right shoulder is a shield, right?
Newtype 0085 Well...In his defence the Shield on the shoulder pad isn't carried. It's mounted on to the MS
That shield is freakin tiny. But the shield most Zeon use are kinda laughable since most fights are in space where Gravity is a non issue.
I think he meant a hand held shield.
I guess he forgot the Gelgoog ever existed.

The RG Zaku 2 also has that eye rotating with head gimmick
you add an inner frame, a cockpit and boom 1/144 mg
I believe that's called a RG kit

still a great kit and fairly easy build.
The second G-Saviour HG Kit!
...Wait, wrong Bugu.
the Real Grade Char's Zaku has the same monoeye gimmick. It's my favorite feature of the model
Good point about they are all using the same articulation. I bought Demin ZAKU I and I feel like I don't need to get the other one since they all feel like the same when building. I also have HGTB PsyZaku II also why I couldn't get Char's haha nice review tho
I recently bought and im loving it painted all stickers as silver
Did you panel line Char's Zaku with brown or black? Did you clear coat it too?
Man the Bugu is pretty sweet. Thanks for the review!
+Soundwave85 I used grey, haven't clear coated it yet.
one of the best .. specially the mone eye it moves when it turns
Shit the mono eye moves with the head?!
I've missed that so much from my Mastergrade zakus
The extra Skull Cap can be used to make it manga accurate.
Best Bugu review I've seen so far, Thanks.
Channel 2S are planning on getting the HG waff ?
+Miguel101 no
I think you should find a rotating display stand. It will definitely help making your video review a little bit nicer.
+BluAlert I've looked into it before, but all the ones I found were either too slow or too noisy.
Have you looked up Mr. Turntable?
+Mayoniez ! Yeah. It's a little slow, but it does seem pretty quiet at least. It's the one I've considered most heavily in the past. Maybe I'll get one next time I do a gear upgrade.

Gelgoog and Zaku 1 carry a shield. Same with the Gyan. The Zaku 2 don’t carry a shield because of the mounted shoulder shield.
The RG Zaku/Char Zaku has a tracking mono eye as well.
category EDUCATION
I wish they will make other kits in The Origin line, like the Dom, Gelgoog, Efreet, GM, etc.
1:10 This is no Zaku, boy! NO ZAKU!
Rg zaku has the eye action also.
I'm doing a custom gundam but I want it to be a large and beefy one like this or a zaku but I'm not a massive fan of this can you suggest one for me
The rotating mono eye was also on the Real Grade Zaku II.
....
Just askin, but which Origins kit would you recommend?
Personally, I recommend the Dom Test Type.
i'd recommend every origin kit, especially zeon kits. the build, inner frame, gimmicks are pretty much the same, so choose whichever design you like. i've had waff and dom test type, and they were amazing!

Basically Pug Zaku
So it's basically just a less detailed but more sturdy rg zaku.
yet again zeon have arguably the coolest mobile suits and in some cases way better than gundams
I gotta say: I'm really disappointed in the hand quality of the HG The Origin kits. It's like they're poly material... they're really soft and don't stay together very well.
Okay so Im NOT the only person who feels the Real Grades are unstable as shit.
Wish I'd known that...
I think by gimck you mean feature, I don't really like the term gimck it makes it sound cheap
+Kumo Entertainment I use gimmick since that's what Bandai officially calls little functions like that in the manual. Yeah, the most common use of the word "gimmick" is more or less as a synonym for marketing ploy, but it can also just mean gadget.
It's a gimmick bro relax
Cool but a bit expensive for an HG
+Alessandro Zarrillo not really. 1700 yen is average for a HG.
You need to position your mic better.
+Warren can't fix that right now, using internal camera mic and have zero other options.
I mean the design is kinda dumb but not as ugly as the zeong
Lol bondai
Looks so plainnnn
Paint and imagination my friend.
yay
I'm probably the only person who does not like the Design of the Zaku mobile suits. I think they are very bulky, ugly and have a very bland design.
+Outer Heaven it took them a really long time to grow on me.
Channel 2S: Gunpla News and Reviews maybe it will be the same for me. By the way it was a helpful video, keep up the good work like you do.
Outer Heaven how does a mobile suit being bulky equal bad design? The Hazel custom is a bulky design and everybody loves it
Outer Heaven also have you ever seen the zaku 3?
Some people just prefer sleeker mechs.
im the best
