Im glad you made a video about crashing. No one else really tackles it but its the most common thing that happens when you learn new tricks. Being prepared and wearing a helmet at least a helmet is something that can only help you. I feel much safer and more confident when wearing a helmet, and more confident leads to better results.
@@Brant_Moore Make a video about the different safety gear available, it could only help especially the younger riders who may look at safety gear as uncool or not necessary. Wearing a helmet is what really opened up a new world of possibilities to me and I wish I'd started wearing one sooner. :)
Man.. Best advice ever! All RUclips videos from bmx riders, they teach the tricks but for them (you) it's easy....like fly over the coping. But in reality it's very hard! Seems easy but it's not. This video it's the only one who really teach correctly the progress for beginners, because like you say, we have to know our limits! And the first step is learning that! Thanks man, huge hug from Lisbon, Portugal. Ps: I'm a beginner with 44 😅😅
Great vid man. I'm 35 been back riding 6 months and working on progression this time. Just recovered from a broken elbow after wiping out on a drop in. I'm 99% sure it was down to a wet front tyre but it rocked my confidence a bit...sure this'll help, and you deserve way more views, pretty sure I've seen all your videos haha. Keep up the great content.
This was what I needed to hear, as I'm just getting into BMX coming from a MTB background...thanks! I'm walking into it and progressing a little more each time I go ride. Getting to the point that I need to invest in decent pads if I want to keep raising the bar. #firstworldproblems
This was a great addition to you're tips playlist! You slowly gotta step out of the comfort zone. You wouldn't dive straight into the deep end of a pool if you just learned how to doggy paddle.
Thanks, really good. I'm 45 and really enjoying riding and I have crashed twice, both when I let adrenaline run the show. No, instead I want to be calculated and ride as long as possible. I've broken both collarbones as a kid, no more of that. But I want to keep slowly getting better and enjoying it as long as possible
Man thank you for this video. I’ve been skateboarding for over a decade and I used to BMX a tiny bit but am now considering getting back into it. So finding your video I just feel a lot more self confidence and like the way I need to learn is an okay way to learn. Honestly if I had seen this when I was a kid I would’ve had a lot more fun skating and BMXing (though I love skating to death anyway)
amazing video i have not seen any type of vid like this im really glad u made this because im ab to send it at the park and do things im scared ab and this vid will help because i never learned to fall
Really great Tips ..., I like the philosophical approach. I have practiced martial arts all my life and I love how you spoke on becoming at one with your bike and the respect your limits.
Exactly right. If you aren't totally comfortable on your bike, you aren't in a position to be doing tricks. I also find that when I'm wearing my helmet I have more confidence to try new tricks. More confidence means better results. :)
Yea man, I legitimately could not care less about it. If people wanna dislike, lettem go. I feel like falling gracefully is definitely a learned skill that takes years and years to develop!
@@Brant_Moore Love the positive attitude, at the end of the day at least they haters are still engaging. I once heard the quote "if you don't have haters, you're either a coward or a liar." We know Brant isn't either.
I go over the bars today not on a bmx but on a dirtjump bike. Its my friends bike in 1-3 hops i can get a really good bunnyhop height,I messed up and pushed too hard and go over the bars and my shin hit the pedals but my wrist survive the impact😂.
Thanks! sometimes I rid over my head, I don't know why i thought riding my bmx standing with one hand, when I didn't train enough one handing while sitting. Now I have some cuts on my knee and now where protective knee pads. Thanks again! :)

I realized that I should’ve added something about safety gear in here as well

If this was recently recorded, glad to see the black eye healed!
Thanks man!! Filmed it last night actually

Heck yea man I’m happy to help!! Pads are 10000000% worth it. I’ve got videos about that too
You have to be the best bmx youtuber. I dont see anyone else making videos like this, keep it up!!
Thank you so much!!! I do my best every day and comments like this are like fuel to keep it going and to just keep getting better!

That’s man, and you’re 100% right. That’s so much better than the comparison that I left out of this video. Haha
For the past year i have been accumulating pads. Every time i fall I find a pad to cover that spot haha. Being 32 and hitting the cement suuuuuuucks.
Haha If you can, why not right?! That's too good man. Just means you're hopefully going to extend your longevity of riding!!
Sean Burns is one my favorite riders!

100% man!! I’ve seen a lot of people stiff and uncomfortable on their bikes and just eat it because of it
Thanks for the info. Was looking for this 💯
Awesome!! I’m happy to help!
If only i knew this before i fell off a five foot ramp...
If you know you're gonna fall, launch that bike!

An older dude..well im 32 he must have been 40. He told me i fall gracefully...i said thanks but it doesn't feel like that haha
The handle bars scare me, i feel like they will break my legs if i fall of a jump

Great video, only wish I had watched it a month ago when you posted it. If your going sideways and looking to eject - always let go of handlebars.
I always tell people you either learn to ride or learn to fall. I learned how to fall lol
Been riding for three years and almost everyone I eat shit I fuck myself up time to watch this lmao
I wanna see a live stream of this with Ricky and fede
Went from spring to fall and I falled in fall
Hey
Hey!!
Love the video... admittedly I'm also a father of 3 aaannnd probably older than most of y'all. Haha. Namaste
Haha with the guys who hang out on this channel, you’d be surprised! Lots of older dudes with family’s, and even some grandfathers in here!!!
And thank you!!
Never too old to learn new things. Im older than most of these guys but thats an advantage in my mind. :)
@@sole__doubt oh absolutely. I never implied is way a disadvantage. Wisdom with age.
And I’m just psyched to have all you guys here to chat and to learn from you as well!

I always thought falling was something new riders got a lot of practice at. LOL
The video literally says "for beginners" in the title, so Idk why so many dislikes.
B/c there are always haters, when you put out content on Yt. It just comes with the territory.
