Hi mate, love your videos, just bought p40 and was curious if i can get the remote setup without injecting soap. How long and what size hose? Brand? In Australia
I have a 1" all flo air diaphragm pump running at 90 psi that hits 60+ feet all day, its on a 20 cfm air compressor, and has 4x the flow of the gas units.
1” air pumps are awesome. Unfortunately a little more complicated for some people to understand and it takes up a much larger footprint. We switched from air to gas to save run and easier to operate. Plus gas units are much cheaper than a 1” air setup. The compressor alone is more than a gas unit.
@@bluecollarentrepreneur3377 We still have our water dragon gas pump. But we have had more issues with it, have to rebuild it every year, my air pump has ran strong for 3 years. Not a single issue, rinse it out the same as the gas pump. But we use the air compressor to also winterize the trailer in the winter along with parking lot blow downs, air tools that are on board for possible tire change or what not. Plus it has a built in generator, so the compressor will always have a spot on the trailer. I'll Keep the gas pump on the small trailer. But I do prefer the psi boost on the gas pump over the air. But anyways, great video bud.
Hey Matt, I finally got my system from Midwest and everything hooked up, I had a question about the amount of volume of water that its pushing, do you dial your water back a bit on like a standard housewash ( on the proportioner) or do you keep the water open all the way. Also I noticed it takes a little while for the soap to clear out the line...do you find yourself Applying chem for just a few seconds then switching it back to rinse to compensate for the time it takes to empty the line of soap/chem?
Hi Scott congrats, on almost 99% of things we clean the water is always completely open. We only adjust chem valve and soap valve. Also depending on how long your hose is it typically takes 45-60 seconds to clear the line. So with this in mind if we are washing a house and see we have a little section left. We will switch over to rinse mode and use the bleach in the line to finish the house. Then by the time we are done the line is flushed and ready to rinse. The more you use it the better feel you will get for it and when you should switch over. If it takes a long time to flush your soap out, trying dialing it back a little and using less soap.

Great videos! Two questions please: can you provide more info on the x-jet nozzle you talk about please? And second, in your plumbing P-40 video, everything looks clean and rust-free! How do you stop SH getting on everything and creating rust? Thanks
Lookup XJET M5 DS Twist Nozzle 7-12GPM. Many suppliers sell it. As far as rust goes, just take care of your stuff. Try to fix leaks as quickly as possible and rinse the trailer thoroughly. There’s no golden ticket when working with chemicals like this. But do the best you can to keep bleach/chlorine off the trailer. Also I store my trailer inside. This helps out a ton. If you leave your stuff outside in the elements you will 100% have rust and your trailer will look twice it’s age.
We personally unscrew it and switch back and forth. Some people use quick connects or cam locks. It is personal preference but I like the method where less things can fail/leak.
Hi Scott, the reel is an 18” Titan hand crank real. There is roughly 260-275 feet of hose on the reel. I personally wouldn’t do anymore than that with this particular style of hose.
Hi Matt is it possible you can send me a link where you got your gun from with the fan tip when you’re doing tile roof and shingles roofs not the soaker gun? I have the comet P 40 with the GX 200 engine. I would really appreciate it.

Hey Matt, like the name. I built this setup from scratch. I enjoy helping people build rigs. This one is long overdue for an upgrade! Looking forward to building a new rig soon. Hit me up if you have any questions I’ll do what I can to help
No, 1/2” hose will work just fine. It’s probably easier to drag around anyways! 5/8” might just give you a little bit more flow/distance. Just make sure the hose you have is rated for a minimum of 300PSI. That is the most important thing to check.
Whats up Matt, so if you dial the idle back a bit and cut the psi back to around 150 psi how accurate is the SH valve on like a tile roof .Compared to a pro portioner or standard knock off mixer? I guess what I'm asking is , how accurate are the valves? I did a massive stucco home a week ago , dirty as hell , I had the sh on 4 ....running full throttle, around 220 psi and I went through 35 glns of sh on the house lol .
Hi Scott, I would say this proportioner is pretty accurate. We have not had any issues and I am impressed with these valves. Honestly I feel the accuracy of any proportioner comes down to how well you plumb it. You have to make sure there are no air leaks and all the lines are properly primed. On most stucco houses we run 1% and if it’s dirty 2%.
If you are not using a proportioner then yes it will. Make sure you have the regulator all the way on. But yes it will by pass a little bit even when you are spraying the gun.
I've heard that if you don't do a bypass (cycling the water, SH and soap back into the main tank) the poly pumps will over heat and Crack. Is this true? If so, how do you bypass without mixing SH and soap back into your separate water tank? Is your metering system on the down-stream end?
I made another video explaining the setup for the P40. The bypass goes back to the proportioner and it does not mess with the ratios. With 25 feet of hose it can be in bypass for about 10minutes before you will over heat it.
The pressure gauge was is the most faulty part on the AR pump and not necessary. It’s really not necessary. There is about a 300 psi range so it really doesn’t matter
Yes, we use the poly soft wash guns with no problems. I am unsure about the ball valve, however just make sure it can handle 300 PSI. If it can then you are good to go.
