    Finally some Ford videos. Other then Ben an Dave everything is Chevy,Chevy,Chevy,LS,LS ..... Even parts magazine have 10 pages of rotating assembly for Chevy 1/2 a page for Ford.

      I still appreciate plentiful Chevy parts and tech as I do fomoco also I remember back in the day saying omg another SBC build it's just the same ole same ol but now where the LS has taken over world dominance but being a diehard SBC guy when I see SBC content I'm like nice! And when I see SBC's competing in higher level drag racing I'm pretty excited, I think Billy the kid with his 406" SBC powered S-10 spanking LS cars is the coolest. I get soooooo sick of LS content one reason it's everywhere all the time and in my opinion it's soooo easy to make power it isn't a big deal or hard any Joe jerk off can do it when you can take a 5.3 from a truck file the rings toss in a cam and a turbo and BAM you have an 800hp engine... Fun to own I'm sure but Borrrrring to watch 😴 a total snooze fest.

I bought a set of these IDENTICAL heads from Aeroflow in Australia for my old mans 408 windsor and was surprised how well they were cast. Very nice to see your flow bench numbers back up what their flow bench testing produced too. Look forward to seeing how they go, thank you so much for this test!

    I got a set and the guides were tight and the seats were a bit off.
    Also, valve spacing is off and individual rockers didn’t work as well as I wanted so I went to shaft rockers.
    Hone the guides a bit and touch up the seats and they run well

    The one thing that makes me laugh about all these China heads at least for sbf's is dart sells this 205 tweaked "afr" clone in the shp line, and AFR sells the tweaked dart pro 1 clone as the enforcer heads.... Private equity groups buying up all the brands are going to destroy this industry.

    Getting hard to keep track of them all these days, that's the X head from them not the maxx series for sbf right?... Think flotek Used that casting for the hammer heads with the 8mm guides too. Seen a Canadian shop selling them as PW performance world too. Be interesting to see what the 185s do.

    So are these flotek “the hammer” heads? I have been wondering about these for a long time. Assuming that these are at least the same casting that’s pretty impressive for a $500 head.

    • @nothanks81
      @nothanks81 Год назад

      I would say yes..... Looks like darts also selling them now as there shp sbf head... Wonder how long until liberty or afr starts selling them too.

    Hey Eric. I see that the heads are marked 205 and the flow numbers are pretty much in line with the FloTek 205 hammer heads but on the paper from your flow bench it sais these are the 210cc ProMaxx Projext "X". Can you Clarify which these are? I know they start off as the same castings but am trying to figure out if either company does extra work to the heads during assembly to differentiate them from one another and to see if the ProMaxx heads may actually flow more than the Floteks as is advertised. Thanks.

    I realize it's an apples to oranges comparison, but for a Street 427 (actually a 428, 4.125bore/4.0stoke) application, would it be 'better' to start with these heads or the TFS HiPort heads ? The reason I ask is because about a year ago, you really seemed to like the TFS HiPort 240 CNC version.

    You say most of the power from port work comes an inch before the valve and an inch after the valve. I totally understand how you port a head an inch before the valve, however, the only thing I can think of an inch after the valve would be deshrouding the valve and softening the chamber. Is this what you mean or is there something else I’m missing?
