Your videos are always well made, amazing quality and I can tell you know what you're doing. I'm following your videos in the process of raising my own goldfish fry
I feel like ur the master of goldfishes. Usually goldfishes are difficult to maintain since they eat lot and produce a lots of waste . But u manage them in right way
I also have my ranchu's on a tub container because it's easier for me to buy and carry home than buying a heavy glass aquarium tank and also plastic tub is quite cheaper than aquarium tank, the down side is since it's plastic the side is blur so I can only have a good view of my fish from above.
I am SOOOOO EXCITED to hear my notification bell and see it's you posting another video..... Thank you 💖 I REALLY DO APPRECIATE ALL THE HARD WORK THAT YOU DO INTO MAKING YOUR VIDEOS!!!!! so please keep them coming..... Have you ever done a display with your goldfish and aquatic plants together... I watch all your old videos .... Love them
I just went through a winter storm with over 3 days of black out. No power no heat and now one of my ranchu just completely lost an eye and unable to swim normally. Her rear end kept floating up. I feel so sad but can't find a vet for her. What can I do? :((
Couple of questions: 1) Why is it not recommended to put a lot of objects in a new tank at the same time? 2) I thought you have to let a tank cycle for at least weeks? 3) I have a barebottom tank for my 2 ranchus and 1 ryukin. Should I add substrate so it mimics their natural habitat? I want my goldfishes to be happy
1)algal formation enhances faster because of lot of objects .Also gold fish does not like too much object in the tank 2)Beacuse the filter already has bio stone Nitrogen cycle takes place in two to three days 3)Natural planted aquarium is not recommended for gold fish Beacuse it produces lot of waste and it will become hard to clean and also gold fish does not like too much of object in the tank
@@AQUATALKS Thanks for that, but #3 I'm a little confused. How will substrate be "too much object" . I'm thinking of putting sand or fine gravel in my barebottom tank
@@mellymoko4617 Ok I didn't meant the sand I told other plants and stuff you put in your substrate gold fish will eat those plants and if you use mud mixed with vermi compost isn't recommended because gold fish will mix and mess up all the thing you set in your tank White sand and gravel without and object is recommended
What should we do if water is cloudy and a lots of bad bacteria in a surface of the tank? I did change water few times already but still the same after few days. Although my fish look healthy. Please help me out. Thanks so much..
Black Jacket It’s not a new tank. It had a lots of bad bacteria in surface of tank like a small dots that i can see it by my eyes. Then I cleaned the tank and changed water, but after few days it turning back. That’s bad
@@ThinFrog. How do you fixed the light stand on the rim to avoid it from falling? I intend to use the pond method in keeping the ranchu, but now stuck with the lighting problems. Many thanks for your guidance.
Yes, water level lower are better for goldfish, especially for Ranchu goldfish. For outdoor pond water level minimum 18 inches. Regarding the light, you can use those aquarium lamp with stand holder.
@@ThinFrog. Actually I intended indoor pond. 18 inch is very high, or do you mean 18 cm? I can get the light with stand, but I can’t secure the stand. How you do it?
Gold fish will literally tear plants apart. I think he just does regular and frequent maintenance because goldfish aren’t usually compatible with live plants.
cycling basically refers to establishing an ammonia feeding cycle where beneficial bacterial are introduced and bred in the tank you can cycle by adding drops of beneficial bacterial sold in bottles, or simply use old filter sponges or old aqaurium filters to run through the water. Just make sure water is dechlorinated so beneficial bacterial doesnt die
I did some online research and they said 20 gallons per gold fish. Is it true? because the fish tank in this video only 28 gallons but fit 6 gold fishes nicely.
These are fancy goldfish that only need 10 gallons per fish and the tank is wider than it is deep which is better than a deeper tank and it also has good filtration so it doesn’t really matter
There are about few hundred of the ranchu fry, but I only kept this 8 pcs of baby ranchu due to space limitations, the rest I had give it to my friends and some were sold. You may check it from my previous video.
Your video is always satisfying to watch ! Keep it up ! I love all your goldfishes 😭❤

May i ask you what you feed them and how do they grow so fast? I have bought my fish about 6 months ago but she still looks the same.
When it comes to food they definitely need goldfish pellets they also eat frozen bloodworms or any other frozen fish food

Hi,
May I know what’s the size of your pond?
What is the light brand & model you are using for the pond?
