25 new comics books back and we are still on the fence for the grading - it appears as though from book to book that standards are off ? what do you think - drop a comment 😀

I bought The Official Guide to Grading Comics from CGC. It really is a good resource as to what they are looking at and how the could potentially grade something. It might be worth grabbing a copy. Along with giving details about defects the have many pictures of books at the different grade levels for reference. My last few submissions have all come back really fast and my grading was spot on with what they got. My last submission was less then a week TAT, which is great. Now if they could speed up my golden age books they have. Cheers.

The lack of grader's notes is ridiculous.

I think it’s funny that people complain about cgc yet they still send books to them😂😂😂

Inconsistency in grades are based upon inconsistency of comics by nature

So I'm going to guess that either the 9.6s have something wrong on the inside or they are just rushing the books. I'm sending some out soon to CGC so will be interesting to see how they come back.

Good question as there is little to no graders notes as well. I have another shipment heading back soon and also will be sending in a big submission early next week.

I say we draft up a stern letter in all CAPS and let them know they suck. It hurts a reseller to have to figure out if each book is financially smart to break and resubmit fully or just leave as is in questionable grade.

Hey that’s not a bad idea at all! It just kills when your looking at two books in similar condition and they are graded wildly different.

Just makes no sense how they show “QC” initial but slabs are being sent damaged. They lowered the amount of days you have to return them to fix their issue. The miss on the grades is just something I can’t even begin to figure out how to fix. Same keeps happening to me.

I have multiple slabs that have more issues in higher grades and others with little to no visible flaws and lower grades with no explanation as to why.

Seems like they’ve gotten faster……not worth the inconsistency…?

9.8 pre screen...when they come back most the time you can send them back as a prescreen 9.6 and half of them will get the 9.8 other half will get the 9.6..they dirty

I haven’t sent a book to cgc in 2 years. Been watching People’s grades, it’s puzzling and not worth sending books in with the inconsistency of cgc, in my opinion

Their QC is crap to non existing
