I agree with the resealable bags but I suggest to get the For Thick Comics. It's too often my books have a tight fit.

Great stuff! I didn't know about those clear backer boards, what a great option. For my collecting style, having a fairly tight focus, I'm of the mindset that if a book is worth having in my collection then it's worthy of either getting slabbed or being bagged and toploaded. I also put resealable "graded" sized bags over my toploaders to keep dust and other particles from getting in.

So if i have a gcg yellow lable and i want to get another signature on it how do i go about that at a con ...do i have to crack it at the con? Do they crack it? ...im trying to figure out if its worth cracking this one or just buying a second copy..both of the artists are gunna be at this con so ..

I don't like the resealable bags. Instead, I fold tape over itsekf to make a tab and then put it on both sides of the bag with the tab facing up. When I want to take the book out, I pull down from the tab and take the tape completely off and use new tape to reseal it. No ripped bags, no tape on comics.

BCW Plastic short & long boxes for me! Better protection and easy way n the eyes.

Funny enough CGC did the same thing with a double signature that they witnessed at a con and gave me a signature series with a qualified yellow/green label. Now I have to deal with a mistake that they did and I have to waste my time shipping it out then waiting for it to come back.

What do you think about the errors from CGC ? How should they be handled ? have you experienced issues lately ?

Great submissions, sucks that you have to send a few back but I'm sure it will all work out. Getting that 1st blade in 9.8 higher than you originally thought was amazing. I myself would have been sitting in front of the window waiting for it. Btw love the video editing and close-ups on the books.

How long did it take for you to get your books back after submitting it in at the con i just finished NYCC and submitted my book in officially last Sunday I was getting 4 sigs ( a hell of a mission) thanks for the video ✌🏽

I am a long time collector. My best tip, Mylar bags!!! I still have mylar bags from the 80's. They only had Archives back then, but still look good.

1st great video and info. I use the resealable bags from BCW and their boards. I also have a few of there short boxes and plastic short boxes which I love. Need to pick me up a few side kicks.

If you are a reseller I can imagine the resealable bags being advantageous because you grade them then put them in the bag to sell and don’t have to open the bag again. As a collector that likes to take my books out often, I can’t stand the resealable. I often place the bag down, forget the sticky side is up and place a raw comic on top of the strip. I’ve had the finish pull off of my table from those strips as well. I prefer painters tape because it’s easily removed and placed to the side and I can also use the tape to write the grade, significance, etc. on it. I really appreciate tips and tricks videos, they are very helpful to us all. Thanks for sharing!

Regarding the topic at hand, I'm a fan of BCW's bags and boards for most of my collection, however I've been working to move all of my keys and higher-value, non-graded books to E. Gerber Mylites2s and their half-back boards. I store them all across a mix of longs, shorts, and some of those black plastic boxes from BCW as well. I'll have to check out those clear boards - didn't realize there was more than one brand of those out there now.

My Walmart doesn't carry them.I called and spoke to a manager to see if he could order some and he said it was outsourced and they have no control over it. I tried to order some online but I need the sku number to do that. Great show.

That signed book you need to get graded, I sent in a silver age FF 51 to get slabbed and signature verified and from mailing out to return was less then a couple months. I didn't pay for express either. The slab looked great and the grade was spot on.
