Owen Benjamin is something else. Hearing comedians reuse his jokes from 5-6 years ago and going viral over them is a slap in the face. He was right about nearly everything he was saying about Hollywood and how his so-called friends are now throwing him under the bus to appeal to their masters. Jeph, those so far kinda functioning socialist economies, are not at the end state yet. In the nordic countries they are shutting down birthing hospitals left and right. They tax transportation at 2x the rate that they spend on transportation maintenance AND the roads are only kinda functioning. And it's the same across the board with all those "free" services. It "kinda" works, at manyfold the cost that we can afford. Like with all this, 10% deficits. Laws of compounding interests will catch up to them too, and it'll be like in Greece, one by one, everywhere.

man, a lotta people talk a lotta shit about Owen, but for me, his episodes of the Bertcast have shed an impressive amount of light on who he really is. since discovering him probably 10-12 years back (i want to say more, actually), initially, i kinda brushed him off, then for a long time, kinda just found him irritating. im very non-confrontational, so tend to be annoyed by brute-force, alpha male personality traits. then, come Bertcast #122 (May 2015), i was totally blown away with the amount of homework it seems that he's done, with how much of that data he retains, and with the way he articulates his thoughts into *stunningly* reasonable arguments for his stance on things []. while i probably wouldnt find myself best friends with the guy, his subsequent appearances in the Man Cave have continued to show me aspects of him i *truly* respect and admire. if less people shunned him for what they THINK they know about him, i bet he could really broaden people's understanding(s) of all sorts of different moral & ethical dillemas, at the least. really goes to show you why you should give everyone a chance, not judge books by their cover (and why you should listen to the Bertcast even when you dont know, or dont necessarily enjoy the guest). thanks for all the content, Bert, and thanks for some amazing episodes, Owen!

for anyone that reads your comment and wants to see what provoked it, its the above material. in retrospect, i probably should have considered omitting that part for a bit longer, as it has nothing to do with an otherwise heartfelt article about the guest on this program. considering how big of a trigger word it remains, the worst part about it, for me, is that i was never even really thinking about the impact the word has in society- rather, its simply an anecdote about Owen that happens to stick out in my mind about one of his first appearances on the podcast. ive removed it from the original comment because i didnt want it to tarnish what i, again, felt was a very genuine, honest comment. but you make a great point with that initial comment of yours, heh.. the fuck **was** i doin.. not that you asked for one, but ill apologize for the lapse in judgement regardless.

Great podcast! !! Two of my favorite comic's and props to Owen for showing his conservative values with zero fucks given! Bow to no one but God,country and family. Great point on currency not just being money. awesome cast. I love there is more men wanting to build, do things themselves. Bert! Another way to create your own sauna is to crank your hot water tank dial to eleven, start with normal warm water so you can get into a bathtub, then crank the tub dial to as hot as you can handle. Keep windows and doors closed. Naturally the bathroom will heat up and you'll start to sweat. Sauna's are still way better because itll hit ya faster. But this is another way to create your own sauna. This is what I do if I can't get a gym with a sauna
