If you want an instrument that handles high-gain tones, performs like a modern guitar, and also gets you noticed on stage, you want the Fusion-III EMG HT Roasted SBK . Loaded with EMG Retro Active Hot 70 Humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions, the Fusion-III can scream on solos, or fatten up for rhythm parts. Of course, you are not limited to heavy overdriven sounds. Use the volume and tone controls, along with the 3-way pickup selector switch, to dial in a myriad of tones between mellow and aggressive. 24 stainless steel frets mean you never have to worry about worn frets, no matter how hard you beat on them. I've got that exact model, had it around a year now, no issues whatsoever. I'm normally a Floyd fan, but wanted something hardtail to pair with my Charvel for when I need to use different tunings. I really don't think these Harley Benton Fusions can be beat for the price. The roasted neck is to die for. Doesn't sound quite as good without Jon playing it mind!

I can remember the days when I believed Harley Benton were just another " cheap and cheerful " guitar manufacturer, purely aiming at the beginner market. That belief may well have had a degree of merit 25 years ago ... but in that time, it has been amazing to witness this ambitious, forward thinking, company go from strength to strength ... to the point where, today, I now consider them to be a literal " God Send " to those who have a limited budget, as they are now producing exceptional instruments at a price most musicians, from those beginning their musical journey, to touring professionals, can easily afford and expect a great looking, great sounding and great playing guitar. This particular model is not of my personal preference BUT it is a great guitar with an incredible spec for the price .... and, in the hands of Jon, it sounds incredible ... but then again, what guitar doesn't sound great when Jon is playing it ? 😎 🙏

Uh, I'm tempted. Black might not be my first choice in terms of color (I still think the silver sparkle one is the prettiest) but I like the reverse headstock, jumbo frets and those EMG pickups. Even if you're not a metal head they seem able to put out some very tasty tones. But of course they do in your hands Jonathan🤩

Love this guitar review. I got and modded the TE-20HH to check out what could be done with a cheap guitar and made it a lot better changing everything. But this Fusion III roasted EMG looks and sounds great. No mods needed. Maybe I should have gotten this first.

Germany making some killer guitars . I love Japanese made as well. Harley Benton and FujiGen , Ibanez/ FGN make the best . Iam constantly impressed with . I just bought a 800 dollar Ibanez and out of the box it was prefect .

Nice, the neck and fretboard looks like my Q-52 Ibanez. I can feel how nice it is from the video... I loved the last 3 guitars a lot! This HB, the Suhr, and Valley Arts... 3 of them are... Must have.. Maybe... :D :D. For some ppl!

I got Three Amarok-7s, I'm thinking about getting a Fusion III EMG(or the Guitar Max one), or their Fusion-T with EMGs. The flat black finish with roasted necks looks so sick, even compared to Amaroks.

Nice guitar and nice demo playing as usual Jon. I have a reverse headstock Voodoo strat and recently tried turning the string tree so the 6th and 5th strings didn't go through the tree.I started having this weird harmonic resonance on the 6th string when I fretted an "A" on the 5th fret. At first I couldn't figure it out until it dawned on me that I had bypassed the string tree.

Oh wait.. you said a reverse headstock! In my paoletti I left my string tree for the lower strings there.
I think the green version you mentioned is Guitar MAX's signature guitar. It's quite the looker with the Floyd Rose but sometimes the tuning stability of a fixed bridge hits the spot.

I think this guitar sounds beautiful. I think you are a great guitarist. You have a beautiful style. I am myself and my finger picker. I play more like Chad Atkins I don’t care much for hard rock, but I did like Led Zeppelin Jimmy page is my favorite rock guitarist. I’ve heard these Harley Benton guitars are not that good but I don’t believe that the only thing I don’t like about this guitar is the head stock is turned upside down I don’t like that but like I say you’re a one beautiful guitarist appreciate your videos. Both pickups are the same? Here, description just says retro active hot 70 humbuckers but the "Amarok" says the same but adds that one is ceramic and the other alnico-5. Is there any difference or just same pickups with more complete description? Thanks✌️

Hot 70 set = Bridge is ceramic Super 77, Neck is alnico Fat 50. Hot 70 is simple mix of 77 and 50.

I had that guitar but I couldn't get the bridge saddles low enough. Even at the lowest the action was way too high for my taste sadly. Other than that it was a great guitar.

What action were you aiming for and what did you manage to get it to?
It happened to me on different HB guitar. I sent it back and order new one and then it was good. If You keep guitar then the only solution is to shim the neck

As usual I so enjoy your playing Jonathan. Extremely tasteful and articulate ❤...however regarding Thomann, while their customer service is really good, service team very attentive I must say, however the guitar I received (not this model) needed much work to make it playable. Rather than shipping back a 10lb guitar to Germany and having to deal with all that, I went ahead and took the guitar to a local music store for a complete setup and the have the extremely sharpe frets filed. Cost me $120 plus new strings. They offered me a choice of a $75 store credit or a $50 refund for the inconvenience. I opted for the refund. So needless to say I'm not a real fan of Harley Benton products. The service team was great...the product, not so much. Seems to me it's hit or miss, 50/50 gamble with their guitars. Some claim right out of the box their instrument was great...played well, felt good...no sharp frets, intonation and truss rod all good, well made and comfortable to play. Some seem to side with my experience regarding sharp frets, and needing complete setups. Many retailers don't bother putting a lot into their inspections for less expensive instruments...such was the case for me. Sadly my guitar was not well inspected ...I know that can happen. Companies are only as good as the folks who work for them.... They produce hundreds of guitars annually so it's inevitable that some will slip by careful inspections... My particular guitar weighs a ridiculous 10lbs ! Not normal for a Telecaster. Anyhoo.....
Regarding this HB Fusion III EMG, I think for the price ($411 USD) if you add maybe $100 (which shipping from Germany will be very close to that in USD to the U.S.) one could do better with either a PRS, Fender, G&L, Gibson, Gretsch or others.....

lol, sounds like the Fender Player series strat I got. Horrible fret work, had to have it serviced out of the box. Happens to all companies. My Harley Bentons have been great, especially my Fusion 3 with a Floyd.
@@rickhammel9541 Lucky re: the Harley Benton...sorry 'bout the Fender. I recently got a Squire Classic Vibe Custom Baritone Tele and the ONLY thing right out of the box was that on a tiny area in the back, on the bottom near that crappy jack cup (which I will replace) was a small bit of gunky stuff on the finish which I removed...other than that the frets and intonation were great ! Sweetwater refunded me $60 for that tiny blemish which NOBODY will probably ever notice . As you say, it happens. As my dad used to say "you get what you pay for, IF you're lucky" ! 🙂
This is the only tone of active pickups that I think sounds good... very good... emg 81 clean is so clinical...

Even though made in Indonesia, their craftmanship have improved tremendously.
I'm headstock critical to a fault. I'm not interested in weaponized headstocks nor oversize bulbous appendages. Simply put, I'm a regular Fender not a CBS Fender guy. I like 3x3 Gibson Les Paul headstock, and have trouble with just about any other types. That said, although the guitar is a very nice offering from Harley Benton, the headstock is goofy looking (It looks like a silhouette of Fred Flintstones big toe). Its sad, and I am working with a psychiatrist. But its slow going.
