Hey Jon. Is there any issue with, not sure of the proper name of it, maybe neck strength? I bought a SC550 a couple years back and when bending a note and playing an open string simultaneously, the open note would drop in tuning, so the neck was bending forward.
I ordered this guitar about 5 months ago, and it is is amazing for the price. It blows away my ephiphone 600 dollar guitar from early 2000's. I don't know how they do it but I enjoy it.

Hey Jon. First time commentor here or anywhere. You are a Blessing to my time spent here on this planet. I have picked up this Sc early on along with the St and have recently got the Ja also. These are exceptional in all sense. The craftsmanship on all these affordable guitars just blows my 1965 cheapo as a kid right out of the water!! [ And that was a great guitar] Looking to get the other two 25th guitars also. Being we can't take them with us! I can only wonder what we will be playing in the New Kingdom. Curing the thin/volume loss sound when coil split is activated is fixed by putting resistors on the push/pull switch, disconnect the wire that is going to ground from the switch,put resistor in its place,so you will get a 'partial coil tap' ie: stops the 2nd coils from cutting out completely...i use 6k or 10k resistors,they are so cheap its worth buying a few different values and use what ones you prefer....lots of demos on y.tube showing how to do it .

Thanks, Jon, for getting round to the single cut version. Was going to get this one but have decided to go for the SC 550 Plus EMG for the active, slightly retro sounding pickups and the tobacco sunburst look. Although the Roswells really do no harm at all. 💕💕

Jon, nice guitar, and there is a HB guitar with Floyd Rose 1000, stainless steel frets for 300 Euro! It's unbelievable :). It's called Harley Benton Fusion-III HH FR EB FBB. This is very interesting.

Yeah when I first saw the lanyard I was confused as to its purpose, they should have made it with a pick holder and thrown some HB branded picks in with it.
Wow, I so wish HB had a US distributor to avoid that shipping cost - I would sure love to audition this before buying but your demos are excellent. I consider myself an intermediate player but would like to bring my skills closer to what you're doing - do you do instructional videos on your channel?
The shipping was the reason i always buy 2 guitars from them just to make it worth while because there is no additional charge, I would order the guitar i liked then i would throw in any $100 ish guitar that i felt could be upgraded into something cool. Strangely it was the cheap 2nd guitars that i fell in love with both times! I have had my Harley Benton Flying V for 10 years and i adore that guitar!

You make ALL guitars sound great! Man, I just don’t know what to think about Harley Benton. I’ve been tempted (a LOT) by their double-cut LP JR clone. People either rave about them or seriously badmouth them. I guess inconsistent QC is a real thing with all their products. But when they’re good, they’re GOOD!
WOW...Love Elixir strings and locking tuners ??? Impressed. Right on HB...BUT...Oh geez...almost 9lbs ! sigh... 😭 LOL $275 plus add approx. another $100 to ship to the US..still a good deal I suppose for those who like Les Paul shape guitars.

In comparison with your demo of HB SC 550II, i hear much more sweetnes and warmth with SC 550 II, id say Tesla pickups has a lot to do with that. In my ears SC 550 II clear winner
If I ever make guitars for a living I'm sending one to Jon Koh, he can make any guitar sound good. I have heard people make this guitar sound cheap, cheap. Not Jon.
i dont know why, but i am always disappointed when a guitar has no bindings around the headstock. it always looks cheap without, no matter what the rest of the guitar is. same for dots on the fretboard haha. can´t help myself about it^^
i dont understand why it comes with awful roswells while the 550 has teslas. i dont pay that much more for a unpainted Neck and a other color when the Specs are worse
