Not gonna lie I’m super happy you had the opportunity to get your own signature guitar. You’re probably one of the most honest guitar reviewers out there and always give great insight on what makes a good guitar. Will definitely check out this model if I manage to find one because it looks awesome so far !
Follow up post for this guitar. First of all, it was a good thing I bought it just a few hours after the video came out because within 2 days it was sold out and the website said "several months" before new ones would be available. It cost $444 plus $80 for shipping (from Germany) which I consider to be reasonable. So here are my personal thoughts on the guitar. Pros: the guitar is beautiful. Everyone who has seen it are wowed by it and thought it cost $2000 to $3000. The neck is dead straight with no appreciable fret buzz. The tone control gives you a wide range between high and low unlike some cheap guitars that you can hardly hear the difference when turned all the way up/down. The split coil switch is great for this setup and almost functions as a boost switch when going from split to humbucker. The pickups are a little tricky to find the specific tone you're looking for but by the same token you can get a lot of different sounds with the pickup/split switch/tone control combination. The FR 1000 is a nice bridge to have on such an inexpensive guitar. I'm a reverse headstock fan so I love that Max added that into the overall design. Lastly, you can't go wrong with stainless steel frets. Cons: biggest one, cheap tuners. They look great but aren't very accurate. I'm replacing mine with a set from Gotoh. If someone is looking to do the same thing make sure they are gold mini left handed tuners in order to use the same screw holes. Next, it appears that the string tree was installed slightly crooked (not parallel to the nut). It doesn't seem to negatively effect the tuning although I did need to screw it down a little farther in order to hold the strings in place when locking the nut down. Also, the bridge cover screw holes don't line up to the holes in the body. The outer 4 do but the middle two appear to have been drilled at a hard angle. Since the middle two aren't really effecting the cover's ability to stay in place, it's not a major issue. Another thing about the bridge cover is that it partially covers the electronics bay cover. Again, not a deal breaker, but an odd design. My personal subjective thoughts: I'm not a big fan of roasted maple. With that said, I have to admit that it really works with the aesthetic of this guitar. Also, I personally like fretboard inlays. This is the first guitar I've ever played without them so there is a little bit of a learning curve but I'm getting use to it day by day. Conclusion: despite minor issues here and there (other than the mediocre tuning machines) this guitar is not only gorgeous and expensive looking but it's packed with features that I've never seen on such an inexpensive guitar. This guitar easily competes with guitars that cost 3 to 4 times as much. It is very a playable instrument and for someone on a budget you just can't go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any level of musician.
Wouldn't it be better if they just didn't include tuners rather than put on the el cheapo $5 tuners? Somehow it's king of insulting. And no fret inlays... no chance I'll buy a guitar without fret inlays. Just give me dot inlays, I don't need multidimensional pearloid inlays... just a dot, two at twelve, then continue all the way further up the neck... I've got a Supro... Hampton, I think it is, the 3 pickup version, it's got block inlays which are fine, but they stop after 15 or there abouts, I always get lost, and for some reason it tricks my brain into thinking the 15th fret is the 12th fret, as there is that 2 fret gap between the inlays... my brain/eyes, whatever get confused when I'm cooking, or in the zone... and then I'll train wreck it. Somebody makes stick on block inlays, and I swear I may buy em, just to add the 2 or 3 Supro left off, cheap bastiges! But a "premium" guitar without fret inlays, fuget a bout it.
@@alphanumeric1529 I don't think it's practical to sell a guitar without tuners since beginners may not even know the difference. I agree about the inlays, it's tougher for me to play without them and I'm not sure if it would make anyone a better player not having them. I'm taking the guitar to a luthier and he's going to install some for $100 so spending that plus $70 for the tuners on a $444 guitar that is as good as any $1500-$2000 guitar is well worth it in my opinion.
Seriously man, you're an amazing person for striving to make an awesome guitar that's affordable to get it into as many hands as possible. Hats off to you!
Thank you Max, I just received your guitar it’s absolutely beautiful, I love the feel of the neck. Next step get a amp and stand etc etc. Max, not a scratch or anything on the guitar. You were a part of making someone very happy. God bless and everyone reading my comment. Buy the guitar!!!!!
It's the best HB guitar I've seen yet. It has every feature that I would want on one. Maybe a few more color options would be cool but it's awesome! Congrats! Although, I'm wondering when they're going to jack all their prices up with all the attention that they are getting? I sincerely hope they stay true to their fans.
Congratulations on your own signature guitar!! That’s so awesome!!! So awesome I bought one and so you know it’s my first guitar I’ve ever bought and will be learning how to play for the first time!! It looks beautiful and look forward to learning on it!
Dayum! that tone at 4:21 is soo beautiful, thick but not muddy, tight and clear, and what is most impressive is the fact those humbuckers aren't active! I'm really proud of what you have accomplished! that guitar is a great piece of art, it's unique on it's own!
I can't play a note and have no idea why I keep watching guitar gear vids. You and one or 2 others. However, that guitar is a stunner. Absolutely beautiful.
For me, it's watching him rip those leads!! I'm always amazed at the dexterity of these types of masters!! I'm just a fumble fingered amateur, but we ALL CAN DREAM!!
l want one. If l didn't already have 3 fusions, an ST and an SC Custom from Harley Benton, I'd buy one right now. Back when a Fusion cost $260 and shipping was around $35, they were by far the best bang for your buck guitars out there.
This is too serendipitous. I was browsing Thomann last night (early this morning) and although I really like the new Amarok models, I was thinking "I like the pro series Super Strat style guitars that they make, I'd really like to see their take on a Suhr." Lo and Behold I wake up to news that Max now has a signature model that really feels like a "Signature" model. A professional whose entire channel is based on consumer friendliness and affordability without sacrificing any of the tone, feel, and style... and Roasted Flame Maple neck to boot?! Very noice indeed!
Pleased for you man. I just got the cort g300 pro with very similar specs like ss frets and roasted neck etc, but it was £520 so costs more however it does have a seymour duncan JB and Jazz shn1 hotrod combo. Really love everything about this harley benton though... super impressive for the price and Great sounding.
Congrats Max. Nice color and just in time for St. Patrick's Day. Those little leprechauns are now making Max's signature guitars - a Good Luck charm is placed within everyone to bring your playing to the "MAX" and help you reach that pot of Rock n Roll Gold over the 🌈. Congratulations! You’re so humble, and I had no idea you were working on this! If you did, I missed it. I will definitely purchase one, simply because I love your videos, and I’m an affordable guitar player, although I want expensive ones, I can’t justify paying the prices, since I’m a bedroom player! Again, Congrats! It’s beautiful!
Wow you got a signature guitar!!!! I love it. It’s beautiful! Not many guitarist can say they have a signature series that’s in production for all to buy and enjoy. Your an amazing dude and totally deserve it! 👍💯
Hey Max ! So its been 24hrs with my new HB Max fusion. Out the box it looks stunning after I tuned up I was flying up and down the neck. After sharing to a Facebook HB group I was hit with 1000s of questions and 1000s of saddened comments that it already seemed sold out which is not surprising at all. Many seem interested to know how its different than the other fusions and its weight and Floyd Rose setup. I only own 2 HB guitars the SC1000 progressive and your Max fusion and what a world of difference I am beyond glad I immediately jumped upon buying it before it sold out. Next month will be my 54th birthday and its a awesome gift to myself.... Best wishes brother and keep rocking....
meanwhile its sold out - if you’re thinking about extra color options i vote for prs-like-cobalt-blue with black or silver furniture, this looks and sounds amazing👍but not my color, especially with gold furniture
Mine arrived yesterday and I love it! That beautiful neck alone is worth the price of admission. Great tones and great playability. Zero flaws. First green guitar as all my others are red -- not intentional, it just work out that way. Adds some nice sonic tools to my arsenal.
Congrats Max! This guitar looks absolutely crazy! Great specs and great looks. I can't believe how you managed to make this guitar so affordable. I'm gonna try it out as soon as I get the opportunity
Michigan here. I have two harley benton guitars and two kits I am currently building... really like the specs on your signature guitar.. going to have to pick one up while they are still available. It sounds great.
You did it, you crazy son of a gun. You did it. This is probabbly the coolest and most affordable signature guitar I've seen. Im just a beginner so I'm not a big fan of floating bridges but this beauty is so cool I might buy one. After all we all need a guitar with a floating bridge right? Well done bro, the looks and the specs are sick 👏🏼
Your signature guitar is basically what I've been looking for, the only thing missing are the straplocks I'm more than capable of adding on my own. Congrats and thank you for the signature.
I'm definitely getting one. Max isn't lying about the neck either. I have a roasted maple neck with super jumbo EVOgold frets and it's the only one of my guitars that doesn't need a winter setup. It plays the same whether it's -20 and dry or 90 with high humidity.
The "affordable good guitar" thing is what brought me here. And I can see how good the prices are in the US. But I live in Brazil, dude. Guitars here got more expensive over time. Particularly the mid range price guitars. I loved playing music more than anything in my life, but I basically gave up a dream cuz I just couldn't afford to have a barely decent equipment. This very instrument in your hands is pretty affordable in the US but, I just looked it up. In Brazil it's R$2235 + import taxes (I would be happy to show the math). I make aprox R$3200 a month. My rent is R$1200/month alone. There is absolutely no way in this life I will ever buy the guitar in your hands, even though I would love to. The color is amazing (body, hardware...), sounds like heaven, the FR bridge, pickups, looks and probably is a really confortable instrument... The list goes on. Great instrument. Congrats for coming up with such a generous concept. Good affordable instruments are the way to go. I hope I get to see it over here any day.
So pleased for you,as well as anyone who buys this phenomenal guitar,...well done HB for this collaboration....with Guitar Max.....quality instruments for the masses.....👍🏾🙂👊🏾🎸🎸🎶!!!
That's cool man we live in the world were a real world Guitarist can gain a following just by being a cool dude, playing and championing people to go out and experience music. That's awesome you thought up something beautiful like this with Harley benton well done both of you for your contributions to the common fellow and probably inspiring many.
Very well deserved Max! Congrats! I watch every video since I found you last year. I appreciate all the hard and amazing work you do and put into your content! Been wanting to get Harley Benton Fusion for some time now. Now I have an absolute reason to! Everything I want in a guitar from the roasted flame maple neck and fretboard, to the stainless steel frets, to the Coil split AND gold hardware! Perfect guitar and I can’t wait to get my hands on one! 🙌🏼 Shred on bro 🤘🏼
You are one of the 1st to introduce the Harley Benton brand to me. 3 HBs later, plus 2 other my friends acquired, you more than deserve this. Thanks and Congrats!
That really is a proper signature guitar. It looks unique and it looks absolutely fantastic. Specs are fantastic for the price point and it sounds amazing. Well done! I would certainly look at one of these.
Congrats. You deserve it brother. That seriously looks and sounds bad ass ! Gotta be a Great guitar to have your name on it ! Awesome signature guitar 🎸.
Max!!! I can surely attest to the quality of these Harley Benton fusion lines. I have still got and use the Fusion T HH FNT first run. I only just last week after almost 3 years of playing the heck out of it need to change out that cheaper 5 way switch. But my God I still say this.."How are making a profit?" I really want to get one of these you have. Smart of you to go with HB considering your channel is to save and focus on what works at a fair price that also beat the rest on price to performance. Wow 1000 series????? Dude. I love this!!!! Congrats.
I have said, and will STILL say;If you search, the dollar can STILL buy you plenty.THIS guitar is a perfect example.Best bang for the buck I've seen for AWHILE!
This has got what I've been looking for in my next guitar... It's like a mashup of a DeMartini and B.C. Rich Gunslinger with a splash of class thrown into the mix! It checks all the boxes... Roasted Flamed Maple, Stainless, Reputable Floyd, Humbucker/Single configuration. When Max said that this was the best guitar in the world, I was like... "F*ck yeah it is!!" Congrats to Max for bringing his vision to life with this... Well done.
reverse headstock, flame maple neck w/ no markers, gold hardware with that green striped top, she's a beauty Max! pa-leez get some in stock & i'll buy one; well done!
I had Nils Lofgren's Kramer Pacer studio guitar made of solid maple, it was green stain with gold hardware, (Floyd Rose) instead of a serial number the neck plate said " ART DECO" I loved that axe, when I buy a guitar I always think of it crazy sustain
Congratulations!! The guitar sounds great and looks super. And for the price, to get all those quality features is crazy. And I appreciate your goal to make it accessible to players who can't afford to spend 3k, 4k, 5k+ on a guitar. And in my opinion, its not about spending the most money on gear, but about heart, working hard, collaborating, trying new things, being creative, listening to old records, and oh that little thing called practice.
Definately have to agree, you have represented alot of guitar brands on this awesome channel of yours, this is a awesome way to say thanks Max from Harley Benton. You have earned this signature tribute guitar. I can say I didnt know Harley Benton until you showed your fusion 3. I fell in love with it thanks to your channel and bought one. Worth every cent. Pays its weight in gold. Solid guitar with premium specs at a pocket friendly price! God this green with the gold is really growing on me though. Thanks Max for such a awesome channel!
I've had a Fusion 3 for 3 years now and I love it. That said your upgrades are spot on and exactly the things I would have improved. The neck especially looks amazing! Besides playability and sounds the best thing are the stainless frets that don't wear anywhere near as fast as normal ones! I have 14 other normal fret material guitars and they all have some wear. Just goes to show I play them all ! A lot. :)
Whooaaa… I’ve been looking for an 80s metal machine for E Standard tuning, and I think I’ve just found it! (I have your 80s shred course too.) The color, the specs, the price- everything is just 🤌🏻. Congrats!
Max I have been watching you for the last few years it is because of you I play AIO & Wolf guitars I love them thank you 🙏 you are very deserving congratulations Max
This looks like a beast! I have already put in an order for it. For the price and what you get this is a no brainer. I have already three Harley Benton guitars and so far so good. This will also be my first artiest series guitar. Can't wait. Also, congrats on your first signature guitar. Hope that there is more to come.
Congrats for your signature guitar, you deserve it ! The Fusion III are great guitars, and your signature model looks gorgeous. The roasted maple neck and fingerboard is a great idea. Now I need to play this axe ! :)
I love the design but I hope they will have more color varieties for this for us to choose if the availability is good. Thanks for sharing your signature guitar with us Max! Congratulations as well!
Pretty damn cool that you have your own signature production guitar. I think a lot of us guitarist would like to see a dream come true like that as well. Good luck with sales.
Stunning looking guitar. Congrats Max. Say, Max, is there any way you could put a bug in the ear of your guy/gal at Thomann, and suggest that they create a Fusion bass to match the guitar. That green just blows me away!
Wow! Absolutely amazing! Well deserved. From watching your old Kramer pacer & striker review videos to now, it couldn’t happened to anyone better. Congrats!
I’ve never been a fan of signature stuff because of some oddities from the guy who’s the guitar has been made for but this guitar is truly amazing. By the way have you seen the tv show peacemaker ?
I also like the fact there are no fret markers, it lets you really focus on looking at the wood grain patterns instead of inlays. Plus it makes it look like you really know what you are doing..lol
technically there are fret makers on the side of the fretboard. I've never owned one w/o markers on the top. I'm interested to know if that's a significant problem for the average player.
Congratulations! It's about time. My playing days are behind me (arthritic thumbs and carpal tunnel surgery that only partially worked) but I watch your videos remembering the good ole' days. Well done!!
Don't call your own signature "the greatest production guitar ever made." Once I realized you were talking about your own signature model any sincerity went out the window.
Very Cool! Sweet looking guitar with great features I just need neck markers on the fret board, but that's just me. I still think I need one. 😃😃😃 Great Video!
Congrats. You're the reason I got into Harley Benton in the first place. I love taking these guitars and modding the hell out of them. I play my Paisley telecaster more than I play my Gibson or American Strat.
Hi. So i got your signature guitar. It sounds great and looks fantastic. I have 2 issues with it. Maybe you got the same. The locking nut is placed very high so the distance between fret no 1 and the three lowest strings (4, 5 and 6) is extremely big like 1.3 mm It has also very sharp fret ends on half of the frets. Both things can be fixed. Apart from that its very much like the Fusion 3 FR models. The pups are great though. Great choice
Congratulations on your signature guitar, it's absolutely gorgeous. Love watching your videos. My question is can anyone have a guitar built by Harley Benton
max love the show. i was going to buy that beautiful guitar untill i heard that it was your sig . now im getting 2 . u rock u r a man of the people . love from tx
Congratulations Maxx you made it into the signature world, now if they only can keep them in stock,I'm in for a long wait, who doesn't want one of these, totally awesome specs, super cool.
Wow Max , love it and I believe you are correct in saying it's the best production guitar for the features , as to many guitar snobs get hung up on tone woods and brand name blah blah blah , I have watched great guitar players use cigar box guitars , even a guitar made from a shovel and they sound good , I believe skill in your hand is most important amplifier comes in 2nd after that all you need is to make sure it is set up properly and your in tune and it's all good
Seriously thinking of getting one of these, back in stock at Thomann in Europe in around 6-8 weeks, love the sound of it. Great details on the guitar and very affordable for what it does
@@GuitarMAXMusic Taken me over five months, but i've finally managed to order one as they are currently in stock at Thomann in the EU. Just waiting for it to be shipped to the UK *** UPDATE *** Arrived in perfect condition. I was worried about the neck and frets but they are in perfect condition. What a lovely guitar

Why would you lie?

what is the height of string / 12th frets ? I hate when it is too high !

That in purple with the gold hardware would look pretty darn good
Your signature guitar is basically what I've been looking for, the only thing missing are the straplocks I'm more than capable of adding on my own. Congrats and thank you for the signature.
You got a siggy! That's awesome! Congrats, man! And those Teslas sound great. Possibly the best sounding Harley Benton yet, I think.
Congrats brother ! Incredible axe for an affordable value! Loved taking it for a test ride during our promo shoot \m/\m/
That’s a beaut! For under $500 too!
Nice guitar Max! Congrats on your dream guitar. On backorder for 8 to 12 weeks as of today. Keep rockin!
A signature guitar is a legacy for the guitar world. I think this one represents you beautifully. Thanks!
Man that’s exactly the setup I wanted to put on a ESP custom: Dark green maple top with gold hardware. That’s amazing
I just bought a multi-scale 7 string from them, it's supposed to get here on Monday. I'm so excited.
You are a class act, brother. You deserve a namesake guitar like this. Excellent features.
The green color is just awesome.
Congrats.
Congratulations this is a great milestone! The guitar looks gorgeous!
Thanks so much!
Congratulations Max! You seem like a genuine, good hearted guy and I always have fun with your videos.
Congratulations to you and Harley Benton!!! You deserved this awesome guitar!!!
You are the king of affordable guitars. It's only fitting that you'd have a signature guitar from HB.
I had Nils Lofgren's Kramer Pacer studio guitar made of solid maple, it was green stain with gold hardware, (Floyd Rose) instead of a serial number the neck plate said " ART DECO"
I loved that axe, when I buy a guitar I always think of it
crazy sustain
Sweet clean! Not a trace of fatigue on the acoustic nerve. Could hear it all day, GM, as with a great jazz hollowbody or classical instrument.
That is one seriously sick axe man!
Well done Max!, the Fusions are amazing and yours is next level. It’s a perfect guitar
Congrats on your Signature Guitar Max. Well-deserved Sir!!!!
Congrats!
The sound and looks are mind blowingly good for this price range
Max I have been watching you for the last few years it is because of you I play AIO & Wolf guitars I love them thank you 🙏 you are very deserving congratulations Max
Thank you! The AIO guitars are great too!
What a accomplishment Max, you deserve it no doubt!
This looks like a beast! I have already put in an order for it. For the price and what you get this is a no brainer. I have already three Harley Benton guitars and so far so good. This will also be my first artiest series guitar. Can't wait. Also, congrats on your first signature guitar. Hope that there is more to come.
That's a beaut of an axe. Way to go Max! Love that green scheme!
Congratulations bro
I'm gonna need to buy me one. green is my favorite color and I love super strats and your content. You deserve it. 👏
Congrats!
Thanks man! Thanks for sticking with me so long.
Finally a guitar worthy of Guitar Max. I love this. I’m sending this video to my Grandson, he was looking for a second guitar.
The overall look and sound is very interesting and desirable! A hard tail version with the Gibson scale length would have me getting one.
Beautiful, love the body shape and color. A hard tail would have me really chomping at the bit. BTW how are the flying lessons going?
Yeah , I'd rather have a hard tail too. It's too much trouble changing strings and keeping a floating bridge in tune.
Congrats Max! This just moved to #1 on the wish list!
Awesome! Thank you!
you deserve all the sucess and accolades there is!! The Super Max is here!!!
Thanks so much!!
Congratulations on the release of your own signature model guitar! It's a very sweet guitar all the way around, and I wouldn't mind owning one. 👍👍👍
Beautiful! Congrats, Max, you really deserve it....your honesty and humility is second to none! Blessings to you and the family!
I’ve never been a fan of signature stuff because of some oddities from the guy who’s the guitar has been made for but this guitar is truly amazing.
By the way have you seen the tv show peacemaker ?
Hell yeah Max!! Way to go!! You got your sig model!!! That..... is a sign you kickass when you have your own sig model.
I love the gold and green anaconda burst
I also like the fact there are no fret markers, it lets you really focus on looking at the wood grain patterns instead of inlays. Plus it makes it look like you really know what you are doing..lol
There are still side marker dots, that are visible to the player, just no inlays on the surface!
technically there are fret makers on the side of the fretboard. I've never owned one w/o markers on the top. I'm interested to know if that's a significant problem for the average player.
Ha, as an non-virtuoso player I'd rather look at the inlays on the fretboard than amaze at the wood when I'm playing 😅
I just ordered mine! Thanks Max for getting this to the market! Never owned a Harley Benton, but I have heard good things. Can’t wait!!!
Sweet looking ride. Congrats. Didn't know Tesla made pickups
I legit think the same specs on any other brand costs about double the price! Incredible sound and looking guitar, man. Congrats!
Hi. So i got your signature guitar.
It sounds great and looks fantastic.
I have 2 issues with it. Maybe you got the same.
The locking nut is placed very high so the distance between fret no 1 and the three lowest strings (4, 5 and 6) is extremely big like 1.3 mm
It has also very sharp fret ends on half of the frets.
Both things can be fixed. Apart from that its very much like the Fusion 3 FR models. The pups are great though. Great choice
Longtime subscriber here and I just want to say, congratulations, Max. Well deserved.
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
Great details on the guitar and very affordable for what it does
Go for it!
Way to go, Max. I'm delighted to see you getting the acknowledgment you so rightfully earned. Rock on, brother. Gary
