Rickenbacker guitars did the same thing to Ed Roman guitars in Las Vegas about 20 years ago. Rick Derringer ordered a headless version of a Ricky guitar and word got around to Rickenbacker and they sent Roman a C and D letter.
Yeah, Ed would've probably done something shifty like cut off a headstock off an actual Rickenbacker, but call it his custom build. Or actually pretended that it was a rare Rickenbacker custom shop build. He probably would get in less trouble with Rickenbacker and other brands if he was transparent about what he was doing.
There are enough differences that I don't think they have a leg to stand on. The headstock isn't even close to a Gibson. If they actually had something, they would have immediately smacked him with copyright. Its basically a threat.
Let's get down to real talk. What the fudge is a Trumpbucker? I can't wait for the reviews of these things when they ship. It's going to be pretty funny.
I agree, these guitars are going to be picked apart by reviewers for the garbage they most likely are. Nobody's doing reviews of his Bibles, coins, NFTs, etc...He definitely picked the wrong product to grift this time. 😂🎸🎸
Gibson is hypocritical since they had no problem with Slash's Les Paul copy. But nobody would mistake the Trump guitar for a Gibson with the giant "Make America Great Again" inlay across the fretboard. The headstock isn't shaped like a Les Paul. And almost every guitar company has an "LP" model. For example, why didn't Gibson sue Amazon for its Les Paul copy?
I found the 16 creative company is based out of Alabama and has a bunch of Vets that work there. I googled it but cannot share the screenshots. It doe say they work with international companies in supplies for their clients.

You know these are going to be made in China or elsewhere, not in the USA. If you really think Trump cares about things made here just look at all the shit he sells, all made overseas.
All the people ragging’ on Gibson here. Gibson is an “American” company. Sure, they charge a lot, partly because they manufacture in the U.S. and they do pay American workers (I own 3, Les Paul, ES335 and a SG). From what I’ve seen, the Chinese, Koreans and others are almost as good, but charge much less (one reason is they pay dirt cheap and finish might be imperfect). Gibson may go down on this matter, but screwing Gibson doesn’t help American workers.
Japanese Guitars blow Gibson out of the water for less money, that's not to say they're inexpensive. Yamaha and FGN make incredible domestically made pieces.
Sadly that must be true. Even if Gibson is right on this lawsuit, MAGA followers are so deep in the cult that they would punish anybody that brings any resemblance of accountability to their dear leader.
Probably those sold out guitars will be up on ebay or reverb as soon as they can be. They'll likely be flipped if there are big enough chumps out there.
Yep just like the other guy said cheap Gibson copies are being sold by companies everywhere!! Alibabba Aliexpress etc. I hate to say it but I think Gibson is being like this to Trump cuz they are butthurt Harris didn't win😂😂😂😂😂
Gibson is probably the most Conservative company that has ever existed in the history of the United States of America and that's not even hyperbole. I can almost 1000% assure you that Jim De DietCola and Cesar Gherkinpickle don't give two whole shits about Kamala Harris or an election
When I say Gibson is Ultra Conservative, I mean they almost never marketed electric guitars because it was not traditional enough. Not even kidding. You almost never got Gibson Les Paul and Leo Fender killing them in sales was the only reason you ever did
Gibson has no case here. They've tried many times and failed in US courts. That's why they sued Dean in European courts as they knew they had a better chance there. There are so many Les Paul copies out there and Gibson has not gone after all of them. The Les Paul shape is now a "Defacto Standard" and will likely be considered part of the public domain. Even in the 70s when they sent a letter to Hoshino over the Ibanez guitars it was specifically about their open book headstocks and by the time they sent the letter Ibanez had already changed to the Guild style headstock (mid 1976) and eventually their own design. Imagine their lawyers faces when they marched into the NAMM show to find the headstocks already changed (It actually happened). This bogus letter will go nowhere. And yes, it's purely political.
Gibson does it all the time. Slash had a Double neck SG That he had his roadie Paint black well Gibson saw that and put out black.S G's and said it was a/signature series and charge Something like fifteen thousand dollars for them.
Though I love that Gibson sent the letter, it's dead in the water. First, the cutaway and horn are completely different, which is all the subtle difference required. This is why every other single-cutaway manufacturer has continued production. It only has to be the slightest bit not exact, Gibson does not own the rights to single-cuts. Second, the headstock isn't even remotely similar to anything Gibson has or that anyone would want, to be honest. Third, I'm sure there's some weird exception, but generally, Gibson Les Paul will never have a bolt-on neck. These just are barely an inbred cousin to the Les Paul. There will never be a lawsuit, but this is pretty entertaining dick-slinging.
Yes the SOLD OUT banner covering at least most of the body of the guitars in all pictures is definititely a sign. Also the ones with solid color bodies and no autographed version, which seem to be still available, have a body shape that's clearly "off" when compared to Gib/Epi Les Paul, the graphic ones that they just got cancelled were much more Les Paul-ish on a glance.
By the time the ship arrives from China, Donnie will have his tariffs up and running so unlikely to get this fine piece of Chibson engineering, based on a concept of a guitar from the USA, anytime in the near future. You just know all the YT guitar reviewers are salivating at the thought of reviewing one if they can get hold of it. The funniest thing would be if it actually ended up being a half decent, if over-priced, guitar 😂😂😂😂
They actually did what exactly? The very thing they have done for years trying to squash every little start up? I make guitars, and I immediately thought that this looks like trouble. And maybe, just maybe that's what's going to happen.
I personally hate every single stitch of anything that is in the USA theme and not entirely made by USA hands. If you're about to defend our adversaries by insisting stuff ain't made here anymore and you have to buy Chinese goods, just quit before you start and think it through first.
its the headstock only
It's becoming more and more difficult in life to know what is real and what is satire. The age of trump has definitely blurred these lines.
Thank your leftist media.

Now I want a Biden banjo.
The people who designed the guitar should know for it to be a "Trump guitar," it has to be all gold; gold paint, gold hardware, etc.
Definitely gold top
Rickenbacker guitars did the same thing to Ed Roman guitars in Las Vegas about 20 years ago. Rick Derringer ordered a headless version of a Ricky guitar and word got around to Rickenbacker and they sent Roman a C and D letter.
Yeah, Ed would've probably done something shifty like cut off a headstock off an actual Rickenbacker, but call it his custom build. Or actually pretended that it was a rare Rickenbacker custom shop build. He probably would get in less trouble with Rickenbacker and other brands if he was transparent about what he was doing.
I use to love reading Ed Romans rants back in the day. He hated so hard on PRS lol. RIP Ed
Rickenbacker was ruthless with copies. They went after people reselling copies on the used market also.
The Most important thing
.....Does it Geddy?
There are enough differences that I don't think they have a leg to stand on. The headstock isn't even close to a Gibson. If they actually had something, they would have immediately smacked him with copyright. Its basically a threat.
it's close enough.
...and it's has a bolt-on neck.
Yep, "cease and desist" threats are thrown out like toilet paper anyhow,it just gets more attention if anything to Trump guitars 🤭
@@scottydog62 They're sold out anyway. Someone's been scammed into buying a $100 kit guitar for thousands lol
Let's get down to real talk. What the fudge is a Trumpbucker? I can't wait for the reviews of these things when they ship. It's going to be pretty funny.
They sound like fudge 😅
I agree, these guitars are going to be picked apart by reviewers for the garbage they most likely are. Nobody's doing reviews of his Bibles, coins, NFTs, etc...He definitely picked the wrong product to grift this time. 😂🎸🎸
It's a humbucker that sounds like a Trumpet
@@BrentBeaver68 You sound super salty.
Gibson doesn't want to associated with a rapist.
Why didn't they sue Zakk Wylde?
I would be curious if any guitarist are buying, or just collectors. I have a hard time paying $5000 for a Gibson custom, so no to a $11500 knock off
I found the 16 creative company is based out of Alabama and has a bunch of Vets that work there. I googled it but cannot share the screenshots. It doe say they work with international companies in supplies for their clients.
That will appear bad to sue them
@@Living_EDventuresYeah because suing a company breaking the law is bad. Sit TF down.
@@Living_EDventures I'm a vet, and if I break the law, and get caught, I don't expect the DOJ to give me a pass just because I served my nation. It doesn't work that way son.
You know these are going to be made in China or elsewhere, not in the USA. If you really think Trump cares about things made here just look at all the shit he sells, all made overseas.
Oh hell, if you're expecting the DOJ to do anything that's crazy. They're more impotent than Keith Richards in a gimp suit
Calling a wahhhhmbulance for you right now.
Japanese Guitars blow Gibson out of the water for less money, that's not to say they're inexpensive. Yamaha and FGN make incredible domestically made pieces.

American guitars aren't what they used to be. They haven't been since the 1970s.

"the room" you're referring to is a room full of abject more ons that will learn soon enough what a tariff is and be begging Biden to come back...
Chibson's last stand.
If Gibson is worried about sales being impacted, this is the LAST thing they should be doing.
lol-that is quite an insight! Elon drove X into the ground, but Gibson is already half way there.
Sadly that must be true. Even if Gibson is right on this lawsuit, MAGA followers are so deep in the cult that they would punish anybody that brings any resemblance of accountability to their dear leader.
They kind of don't have a choice - if they let it slide, then they may lose the exclusive right to any trademarks they have on the guitars.

Bolt on neck Les Paul copy for $1500. It's just funny in so many ways
That's because Elon musk bought all of them
Judge: Can you tell the difference by just playing them?
Pretentious Gibson Lawyers: Of course!
Judge: Dismissed.
True Story.
I've been done with Gibson forever .
Grow up.
You almost never got Gibson Les Paul and Leo Fender killing them in sales was the only reason you ever did
@@neilpatrickhairlessBeing conservative with their instruments doesn't mean their policies can't align with the left.
You can copy and sell anything, in ChYYYYna.
No open book headstock, bolt on body, etc... no case. More orange man bad bs
If I was going to spend $1,500 for a guitar, it would be a genuine Gibson Les Paul. Not a cheap copy.
it's for collectors, imagine what those things could be worth in 2 decades
Yeah I'm not paying $1500 for an Asian bolt on LP clone. I'll get a nice new or used guitar.
Screw Gibson. Iconic American brand my ass
Probably a better guitar than a gibson. Gibson not what it once was.
The DOJ can't hold The President accountable for endorsement crimes. 😂 Good Luck Gibson.
At this point, he can do no wrong...
Nice. Well played
+10,000 just for an autograph is crazy
Its a scam to avoid donation rules. If he's breathing hes scamming.
Gibson does it all the time. Slash had a Double neck SG That he had his roadie Paint black well Gibson saw that and put out black.S G's and said it was a/signature series and charge Something like fifteen thousand dollars for them.
But they can't afford eggs to feed their dipshit children 🤷🏻♂️
Whenever there's a bad decision to make, at Gibson we go for it 😆
He should have consulted with Ted Nugent before making that piece of fire wood! I’m bummed, expecting a lot more from Trump. Make guitars great again!
