    What sort of glue is that? I have a 24 year old leather jacket that has been with me half my life that I can not find anyone willing to repair it. so now I am hunting how to do so myself. I think scars and frankinstine stitches would look pic. the collar has cracked the elbow was worn through. the seams in both arms are unraveling. My rips are more towards the shoulder of the leather jacket, and its in a somewhat tough place to get to. Do you still recommend taking out the inside stitching of the jacket to get to it? Ive seen another method of just placing a pin through the subpatch and into something like that block and then feeding the subpatch into the jacket through the rip hole. Also, does it matter what material the subpatch is? What glue would you recommend? Thanks for your help.

    • @LeatherRepairUK
      @LeatherRepairUK  7 лет назад

      Notorious TBG Thanks for the message you can do this in several ways, backing fabric can be leather or polly cotton. If it's very difficult to get into then using a block from behind to get a flat surface is always good, feed in the sub patch and then apply the pin then start gluing one side at a time, once the one side is glued you can remove the pin at this time, www.leatherrepaircompany.com/shop/leather-glue-repair-kit/
