I had a similar tear size except it was “L” shape. My sofa is fabric. Watching this video gave me the idea to cut a piece of thicker scrap fabric as my sub-patch. I did as she did but used a thin kabob skewer to tuck it under without tearing the rip more. I also cut off the small dangling threads from the tear. I used Alene’s fabric glue. (Craft store) It worked great but you really have to look to see the ” L” which is a huge improvement and didn’t take long to do. I think any brand fabric glue would work. However I think if I was repairing vinyl or leather I would suggest Shoe Goo since it works on repairing leather, vinyl and rubber shoes. Just keep in mind it is very thick and you’ll want to keep the layer thin. I repaired a leather purse my puppy had chewed years ago…. Not perfect but better.
deasttn , you can use our leather filler, the filler is excellent and filling large gaps for a seamless repair. If you need more help please email info@sofarehab.com.au
