Cars and coffee is a great event no matter where it's held. It's the perfect place to showcase your new car or a project you've been working on. But what is the BEST possible car to bring to a cars and coffee event? It's not a Lamborghini, or a Ferrari.... It's a Corvette.

Welcome back! Love the Corvette. My neighbors had an original Honda Civic just like that yellow one. Same color. " I Ensnare You".
I went to precisely one Cars & Coffee in my C5 vert (Jake- chrome wheels and a 6MT, so there) and got placed with the other Corvette guys. I felt so out of place- no jean shorts, no white New Balances, no California Duster.

True story. My Doctor didn't want to test my testosterone levels because he was sure they would come back fine, it was actually extremely low, that service would have avoided me having to convince him to put it on the list of stuff to check.

I don't know why it never occurred to me to look up Cars and Coffee in my neck of the woods, I guess there's a place that does it once a month here, so I'm going to try to check it out before the weather gets crappy, probably won't be anywhere near as interesting as yours, though.

I still have my wooden-handled California Duster I purchased in the late eighties for my 1970 Pontiac Catalina Convertible. Sadly I sold the Catalina and kept the duster.

Oh that is SO wrong with that opening statement, GM blackballed every cool car they ever made to keep the corvette in production, the Buick GNX, the Typhoon, the Cyclone, the Trans Am, all cars that badly embarrassed that machine when it was new, hell get your hands on one of the last model third gen trans am's with the Buick GNX engine under the hood, it would smoke that thing and then some
and all that for a grampa mobile, worst part is the best corvette ever made was only made for one year and one year only purely because of how cheap they were, a 1968 C3 Stingray with a 327 that revs out to 6500, then they dropped it for the boat anchor 350 that was cheaper to make, could only rev to about half that and about 80 horsepower down on the cars that came before
like the one to have is a C2 or C3 283/327, or the C5 Z06, which is when the car finally started getting its modern sea legs in today's world.
granted the build quality is still gonna be awful, but that's GM for you, cheap pile carpet, really nasty sound insulation, and some god awful fake plastic leather, like I am so glad I left those guys behind and I never wanna see another one of those machines in my driveway ever again, like they all rusted out on the back and used the same buttons for the release of the trunk in the glovebox and used door handles from 70's cars all the way up until the mid 90's
and the people running the company are equally as awful, and their V6's, the 3600 series, all pickup trucks, sedans and the like, they had a magnet that was glued onto the flywheel for the computer to read engine speed
they ALL fell off and would make the owner think the thing broke, when its just a stupid piece of glue that broke off, 30 years, and countless cars using that engine, and they never fixed it ONCE!
God give me a dodge diplomat with a venerable 360 under the hood over that any day of the week.
Love the video, as a fellow 94 Vette owner, also in yellow...I was cracking up. You really nailed it. The stereotypes are usually true at my cars and coffee in Maryland. I purposely park away from the Corvette section

That yellow looks good. Corvette yellow was also available on the last couple years of the Pontiac Fiero, and looked great on them as well. The C4 spawned three more generations of Corvettes that shared it's dna.

Corvette's fantastic.. can't be beaten for fun, value, style.. but that Karmann Ghia in the background.. I have a special fondness for those. My dad had one back in the day.

The 325es bit made be laugh. A friend of mine had an 86 325es when we were in high school. He always said it was for "euro sport." He was pretty sad when I looked it up online and found out the e actually stood for economy. The best memory with that car was the morning he pulled too far into a parking space and punched a big hole in the oil pan, immediately dumping like 5 quarts of oil. It turns out you have to be careful not to drive all the way over those concrete blocks when you have an aluminum front sump oil pan.
Oof. I’m sure that was a learning moment! I love high school memories of cars though.
