Great video Elliott! I really liked my 360 Modena, but I love my California. Just a more comfortable drive with creature comforts like cruise control, XM radio, backup camera etc. The 360 was just very raw. Very fun to drive around town, but not so much for any length of road trip.
I used to layover in South Bend on a regular basis and the Studebaker car museum is awesome! Also, there is a great running trail on the east side of the river.... Great video!
I love how you experienced that Ferrari like I would, like a normal person where a supercar isnt the norm and a California is still exhilarating and fantastic fun. Really love your proper down to earth videos.
I've never driven a California. And, I've never watched a car video where we get a toilet tour 😂 It's such a joy watching your channel grow Elliott! Great job!
The Ferrari California is an awesome GT car. The majority of people who say they don’t like it have not driven one. Like you said comfortable and plenty of power but not enough to get sideways like the f12 (love that car too!). Best part is Ferrari offers a warranty up to 15 years from manufacture date (for a price)
In the Netherlands / Europe, in elevators the first floor is B ( Begane Grond), second floor is 1 ( eerste verdieping), third floor is 2 (tweede verdieping) etc.
Greetings Mr Motary Notary, what an awesome video!!! The Ferrari is stunning as is the stadium & the elevator, & then there's the bathroom!!! I can't wait to see the next video!!! Thanks for sharing your adventure!!! 👍👍🙂
Little bit of everything in this video, cars, football stadiums, toilets, showers, castles, and a cool old elevator. It's the Elliott Alvis variety hour, condensed into 14 minutes for your convenience!
I almost bought a 308 GT+4 about 25 years ago, but it needed a bit of work and I didn't have a garage. The owner was using it as his daily, and while it drove like a truck, it apparently was a pretty useable car. He wanted $21,000 for it then....
😂 you went to Mizzou. Born and raised in Columbia. Truth be told there's tons of money there. Walton's used to be on my paper route down at lake arrowhead. People just don't flash there cars really around there.
Elliott, the black GTO is. 1964 with side by side headlights, 65 they stacked them 😁👍🏻, I had a 64 GTO in Grade 12 I sure miss that car 😢 Keep up the videos👍🏻
That car fits you a little too well, Elliott. Might need to retire the New Balances and slip into some Supergas! Thank you for sharing your experience! Hope you're having fun on your vacation/auction reporter gig!
I would love for this to be my first Ferrari got my eye on it. would be more than happy to drive something like this after my car. I currently own Maserati with a Ferrari engine in it. Now I want the full effect🤣…….Cheers 🥂
I mean, it’s pretty darn far away. And it’s really far north. But I guess it’s “technically” still the Midwest. Just not as middle or west as Kansas lol
Base model: $100k, I don't know how you do it, I'm nervous driving my dad's 2013 Impala. Dude, don't remove that CD, that has to be a selling point for the next owner! (at least shazam the tracks so you can make your own mix later.) I used to deliver office supplies in Manhattan, one of the buildings I went to had an elevator just like that only much smaller and I didn't have to hold the gate closed.
Plenty of power in that Ferrari, when I was young, if you gave someone 400 hp, they went right out to kill themselves. Of course, the suspensions were trash, the tires were mostly junk and there was no traction control to fool you into thinking you could drive. This is why old Ferraris are so expensive. Most of them ate a tree, a bridge abutment or other solid objects.
No, it is not. Flat plan vs cross plane, more power, sportier brakes (carbon ceramic), sportier trasmission, suspensions, better interion materials, fit and finish, quicker, faster. Very different. I owned both.
The car was ENTIRELY too expensive new and they made a huge number of them. Fun to drive yes, gearbox is very average, has somewhat good looks with a bit of addons.. still too expensive used over here in AUS. The Maserati is far better value.
I'm sorry elliot but, the best starter ferrari is the one with a warranty that you can get out of with most of your wallet intact, let alone an FF Coupe Spider like this, as that name, that name should have never been fitted to this car, its like calling a new car a countach, as soon as you do that, you doom it to failure as its never gonna be as good as the original which in this case was a short and long wheel based 250 platformed car that shared its bloodline with the 250 Testarossa, the GTO and the Luxury Lusso, like you just cant attach that name to nothing. far better choice would have been to take the modern motor out of that hybrid they got going and call it the dino spider with a midengined take to soon follow, as a competitor to the cayman and the Alpine A110 europe has and even then I'd rather have a dino spider given how good that motor is, which you could get for the same price and be able to fix it yourself given its a fiat
Ferrari BRICS best that. 800cc 2 cylinder Indian engine; T-62 coachwork from Russia; Dollar Store parts from China; 1000 speakers, ,500 subwoofers from Brazil as well as corrupt navigation systems. For anti theft security system, side flamethrowers a la Johannesburg (Blaster).😂🤣😂
THIS CAR WAS ACTUALLY A MASERATI AND FERRARI STOLE IT. NOW YOU KNOW THAT AND YOU LOOK AT IT YOU CAN TELL ITS A MASERATI DESIGN. LIKE A EVOLUTION OF THE 4200
If you are a hater and cannot afford it, yes, it can be ugly. But if you can own it and drive it, and know something about Ferrari Pininfarina design of the 60s, it's wonderful. Trust me.
Yeah. I'm sure it drives beautifully. Wonderful engine But it misses out in the looks department. Pinched in nose. Very messy behind. I'll keep my 328.

That was the plan. And it genuinely is how I feel!
What a cool elevator! I loved the old elevators that needed an operator to be at the manual controls at all times.
At first I didn't like the looks but it's growing on me.
Glad you're sharing the Enthusiast Tour experience with us again! Love the wide range of cool cars
Thanks! It’s such a cool experience.
I would love to own that beautiful Ferrari Califonia, but it’s only a Califonia dream from a Californian by birthright.
It’s a fantastic car Mitchell!

Fyi, almost all brewery’s in Europe have restaurants where you can have a decent meal.

You’re exactly right Joel! So many people are negative about cars they’ve never even driven.
So you finally learned how to click those heels
Haha 👠
Ngl an amish restaurant with the second oldest elevator in the country sounds DOPE
Well the elevator was in the Studebaker home. But still. What a day!
Please include the playlist so we can all make our own Ferrari cruising CD!

I always thought the digs against the California were unjustified. I drove one and confirmed that it is a fine car, worthy of the badge.

Wouldn't the Maserati GranTurismo be the better choice given the 4.7L engine option?
Depends on your style! I would still take the Ferrari because it has the dual clutch transmission. And because, it’s a Ferrari! Lol
