It is Rose Taupe and has a turbo charged 16 valve Fiat engine (based on 131 block with Thema/Integrale type cylinder head, & over 400 bhp). Suspension is 5 linked rear with coil over shocks, front suspension is Ford Cortina uprights with double wishbones. It also has fibre glass doors, bonnet and all four wings to reduce weight. HTH
I've never really liked Morris Minors. But, I do kinda like that grease era idea of the 50s sort of style mixed with tyre shreddding bad attitude. I'm sat watching this thinking that a car modelled now like this with fire breathing performance would in fact sell well. That car by the way, with the arches and mods, and the sound is something special. Nice work to those who put the hours and kit in!
Often wonder why BMC, British Leyland ever stopped making these. Sales would have fluctuated, but never the less they would still be selling, and they would have morphed into a really great car over the years.
When I got married in 1973 I don't have a car yet. My late father in law let me use his Morris Minor for a whlie before I bought my 1st car i.e.Fiat 124 S. Those were the days the signals flop out on right/left door hinge.
Why would any car guy not like that ??. My 1st car in the late 60's and it was so slow. But boy would I love that and I'm an old guy. Classic restomods rule.
Definitely not the Morris Minors we knew when I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall in the late 1970's. That is more like tying a tornado to a skate board.
How'd your project go? I'd love a look at the underside of this one! I'm guessing fully independent on bespoke subframes with nicely balanced coilovers and dampers!
This is actually running a heavily detuned original MM 918 side valve. I believe he also has to have the handbrake up and all tyres at no more than 10 psi.
It's still got the original VIN, some of the original bulkhead and floor pans and a lot of the original metalwork as well. Not a kit car, that's a totally different concept.

I would love to see this vehicle in a traffic light Grand Prix! It would surprise a shed load of people. 😲
Morris Minor, morphed into a Morris Major lol
I'd forgotten how lovely Gurston is.
what a ripper , my dad had 2 morris miners 1000, a daily driver and a spareparts car up in the shed great lttlie cars.
First car I ever drove was a Morris Minor. I'd love to take that one for a spin.
Wow that thing hugs the road like a beast
When I was a kid we used to drive past a farm that had one of those parked out front by the road. I always loved the look of those cars.
That thing is pretty well glued down and mighty for sure
Identical colour of my first car which was a Moggie 1000.....didn't go quite as fast as this one though.
I use to go grocery shopping with my mum in one of those about 45 yrs ago. :-)
.. Wow!!! I had one.. In 1974..... An Original 1958 Model..!! Lovely!..

Maybe someone has given a new lease of life to the old girl but what caught my attention is the excellent piece of driving.❣
when you run out of tea bags.
Lancia heapceylon, espresso come first
Just as I remember them!
The car you always wanted as a teenager!
Just stunning , looks a right laugh to drive that !
200 kid
What a beast!👍
Martin , do you have any more videos ? Pls upload
A Minor was my first car ever, 50 years ago. Cost me $25 and did 0 to 60 in one afternoon.
Only one afternoon?? Sounds like you found a race tuned "works" car..most take over a week...
@@cavekritter1 Actually, I'm not sure it would do 60 at all. Ever.
@@scottparis6355
Very good point!!
Ahh brings back memories when all minors came off the production line like that.
My dad has a Morris Minor 1000 with a fiat 131 twin cam engine
Looks like a great venue ! Would be a great VSCC event.
Hehe, what a glorious car. Even faster than the stock version!!!!
well done a super fantastic car with power looks and handeling = you have a top quality eye for that = CHAMPION SIR !
Imagine if this was the Moggy in the police chase hahaha

Reminds me of my dashes to work my faithful moggy back in late 60’s
always hated them, lol, like this one
When I lived in England in 1975 I had a Hillman Husky wagon that didn't go like that. I always wanted a Traveller that went like that.
That’s a quick little Mogy✅
Awesome bit of kit...you wouldn’t want to meet that at the traffic light attempting to beat him off the line..
Couldn't have done better myself, superb

Magic car .... beautiful 😍 😍 to see
NOVEMBER 2020 WOW it sure can go can't it.
A true wolf in sheep's clothing is that Morris Minor and a credit to its owner too.
Great stuff! Now - is she Rose Taupe or Peat Brown please? Ours is Peat, with 'pretty' goodies - but hell does yours go! ! (Toyota twincam?)
Such a beautiful car
Definitely not the Morris Minors we knew when I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall in the late 1970's. That is more like tying a tornado to a skate board.
Absolutely love this watch it quite often would love to know build speck it’s absolutely gorgeous
this car has been on the hill climb scene for over 30 years it just goes quicker
ok !New dream car in my head!
Exhilarating!
Make a great street SLEEPER ! love it !
I seen moggys with pinto motors but that moggy buggies lol . Nice , how many young rips you smoke off the lights with that Lil sleeper ha ha
Fast and bulbous. Nice moggy thinking of purchasing one .
Ulala.! Mercy
That's one fast meatball !
Hi
Martin is it possible to contact you ? I am doing a project and would like to ask a few questions on your superb build
Is this that new magnetic track I’ve heard about?
😍
I grew up around one of these car but stock my papps own it
My Minor would do this standing on two wheels. This one must be weighted.
Superb
Gee, I hope I can my morry I am building to handle like yours, what front suspension are you using,
It is not Morris
How'd your project go? I'd love a look at the underside of this one! I'm guessing fully independent on bespoke subframes with nicely balanced coilovers and dampers!
wow i thought my moggie was pretty good oh well back to the drawing board
I bought a moggie for 28quid in Swindon ran it for years.. Clangy old gearbox. 😂✌️
Give this to your nan to do the shopping but don't tell her it's spicy.
I want one.!
this is insane.
Just imagine how it would look if it were left original
Cool! Now try it on a set of crossplys....
That was on crossplys (slicks)
@@Quickmog
Do you still run this car? It was/is an absolute monster and your skills as the pilot are superb!
Peat brown power. :))
I need this car to going shopping in WOW
This is fuckin badass
Yes sir, it's stock.
Fooookin smashed it! Lol
What engine is this
I think it's nearly a homebrew version of an Integrale motor, based on the 131 twin cam block. Crazy stuff!
Looks like it's had some... minor adjustments
My ´59 was yellow, that must have slowed it down, it didn´t run like that at all...
Pretty stock then?
This is actually running a heavily detuned original MM 918 side valve. I believe he also has to have the handbrake up and all tyres at no more than 10 psi.
just a kit car not a morris minor! this guy could make a skip go that well! love the colour though
It's still got the original VIN, some of the original bulkhead and floor pans and a lot of the original metalwork as well.
Not a kit car, that's a totally different concept.
Nice moggie.
I sat here for 5 mins wondering what a downhill climb was.
Haha
