I didn't know you were in the Fredericksburg area, nice! I'm from Quantico. I'm looking at getting an Indian Scout as soon as I sell my Rebel 500 (hopefully soon!). Great videos!
I can definitely see that. I'm excited to see what the aftermarket will provide in the future... I was really surprised that the bike didn't have a hydraulic clutch.
I am so torn. I really want a Scout Sixty but it doesn't come in that metallic emerald (jade) that the full Scout does. Those emerald Scouts are just so beautiful!
Yes, I can't ever imagine needing the horsepower of the full scout. I also happen to love Christmas. Metallic Jade with desert tan seats and bags, a Rudolph red nose on top of the chrome headlight and Christmas lights wrapped around the cargo rack... It would be the ultimate Christmas machine! It wouldn't look half bad the rest of the year either.
I figure I'd watch a throw back video since I'm a proud new owner of a 2018 scout 60. Week 2 of ownership and only 157 miles on the odometer so far. Couldn't be happier with this and its bone stock. Exhaust will be first. 3.0" slipons. I'm leaning towards RCX excalibur ceramic black with eclipse tips. You have any other recommendations for pipes?
If you're just wanting sound, I'd stick to slip-ons. I went with a full-system 2-1 just because I knew I wanted a real hotrod. Happy you're enjoying it, man. As for which pipes to go with, I've heard great things about Crusher Mavericks.
Those were the first set I was interested in, but I heard the RCX on a scout passing me while I was in my truck. They were purring nice at idle but had nice tone when opened up.
that's a nice bike man I'm more of a Harley guy myself but that's a nice looking bike and will you be talking more about the Sammi or did I completly miss it all
Don't understand what you meant, unless other videos contain gratuitous F- bombs. BTW I have been a 40's Indian Chief rider since 1952. Interesting to read rider impressions on the new ones. How about that FTR 750 flat tracker and the revived Indian "wrecking crew".I read somewhere that the new Chief is capable of 143 mph (???)My old stock 74 cubic inch Chief can do around 90mph on a good day without the windshield.
Yeah, I try not to censor myself. I'm just me. I'd love to get my hands on an FTR750, but I'd be terrified of wrecking a $50k bike... but that's awesome that you have that Chief! I'd love to see some videos of it!
I'm 6'4" and looking for my first bike. I was considering a Vulcan 900 but my size will dictate my choice. Any opinions about the Scout and its suitability for a taller rider? The Kawasaki dealer suggested I'd be too big for the 900, alas he didn't have one in for me to sit on.
I think you'd fit fine on a Scout. The pegs are just fine for me at 6'2 and they do make forward controls. I've never ridden a Vulcan, but I do have experience with Suzukis and Hondas. Neither are as comfy since (I assume) because of how most people who ride them in Japan tend to be shorter.
If you live in a state we’re the weather is hot the indian scout engine heat will cook you I live in California I sold my 2017 scout in city traffic the scout is know to get vary hot
Did a couple rides out of Fredericksburg myself . Same 2 bikes as you . Sweet bikes for sure. I am also leaning towards the scout .
Robert Downey Can't go wrong with either!

Awesome, and thank you! I'm actually closer to Richmond, but still cool. I'm sure that Rebel 500 is fun as hell though.
@@InvictvsNox It's a blast and super nimble, but I just want some more power. And the Indian Scout is sexy as hell
That, it is! If you've fully grown into your Honda, definitely give one a test ride if you're near Fredericksburg again.
I see u answered a similar question already. Thx
Love it, but living in Chicago the clutch does get tiring.
I can definitely see that. I'm excited to see what the aftermarket will provide in the future... I was really surprised that the bike didn't have a hydraulic clutch.
The "living in Chicago" part needs to be replaced.

You're the first I've heard compliment that color. I prefer the overall looks of the Scout 60, myself.

Hah, that's certainly a different way of viewing it.

Caleb Buchanan just got a few more vids in the pipeline and Samurai content will follow!
InvictvsNox sweet man can't wait I drive one myself and love your vids on it
Thanks!
Nice video, appreciate lack of F-bombs
gary gullikson please don't watch the rest of my videos, but thanks for watching this one!

How tall are you? Do ya think its comfortable for some1 who is 195cm tall?
I'm 188cm, but this is the lowest bike I've ever sat on. I'm sure it will be very comfortable and rideable to you.

TY for the advice, enjoyed your video!
I was thinking new seat to sit me further back and forward mounted pegs. I do like the Scout though!

Nah, it gets about 112 here on the hottest days and its fine.
Is it comfortable?
Everything but the stock seat, which you can see me changing in the video after this!
He was in a chieftain not roadmaster
Yep!
