I’ve been trying to improve my trout game in using different lures as a newer angler. I’ve accustomed in using spoons and mini jigs lately but haven’t used minnows. My buddy has been catching them on minnows and encouraging me to use them. Tnx for sharing these !!! Glad to be part of your trout university 😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘
Locally Big Bear, Gregory, Green Valley, Silverwood, and Hemet all have trout fishing year round. They get a bit tougher to catch when it gets hotter in August and September but it definitely can be done. Other than that I head north the easter sierra. Lots of trout fishing all summer 🤘
Hey Rob, ever fished Twin Lakes in Bridgeport? Bout 45 minutes north of the loop, done well with the family on wait and bait. You’d probably kill it!! Haha
Rob, you do an amazing job describing the techniques and gear you use. Very thought out, explained slowly and clearly. You missed your calling as a teacher lol!! BTW, what was the brand of waders you showed a couple weeks back? The ones you thought were a little baggy but nice waders for $100?
They are TruDave stocking foot breathable waders. Really good waders for the price. Ive been wearing them exclusively in my last 3 videos. If you use code SEASPANKER you get 15% off
Hey Rob✌🙂...anutha great vid man 🙂 👍....you brought up sumthin in this vid that got me thinkin.🤔 With doin a double drop shot rig....would it be a good strategy to use a mini jig and a minnow type setup?🤔 Just curious on your thoughts on this. Keep em comin my friend. Peace ✌😎
Hey Rob,, another great video. Have you come across any fishing gloves that might both keep your hands warm and allow you to hold a trout without slipping? Thanks
Unfortunately no, fishing with gloves in the cold is just tough but I can tell you what I use and they keep me fishing when its brural cold. I use electric glove liners with rechargeable batteries and put nitrile gloves over them to keep my hands dry. They work we’ll but you loose alot of finger dexterity. Its the best solution Ive found so far but im still searching haha www.basspro.com/shop/en/actionheat-5v-battery-heated-glove-liners-for-men
Thank you again for a great video. Quick question about using a small snap swivel or fast snap to help switch between colors a bit easier. Possible, or should I just learn to tie knots faster? Thanks again
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors do you ever have your line slip out through the opening of the fast snaps? And I know you're not a knot guy, but what do you like to tie your snaps with? Thanks again 🤙
@@robertborah3655 I use a standard Palomar knot and Ive never had the line/knot slip off the fly clip. I have had it come out while tying on but once you have the knot tied its pretty hard for that knot to slide off.
Professor Rob!..I just got a wiff of that new setup called BFS setup what do you think of it ? And is it better than than a reel ? Thanks, keep up the good work
