@SeaSpankerOutdoors for sure man, it recently rained here so the water will be pretty dirty when i head out. Any color suggestions? Appreciate the helpful video
Been fishing lake Camanchee for Trout Im looking to try some of the best rigs to use been using Kastmasters and power bait and micetails roostertails but jigging for Trout is a new technique that works well for Trout Fishing 🎣 Great video!! Fish On!!
You’re awesome man, I’ve been wanting to start targeting trout but I know it takes a lot more technique and knowledge. Gonna take these tips to the lake soon👍🏽
Thanks for very good video, your information is most helpful and easy to understand. I never tried bobber and mini jig fishing but will give it try now.
Found some 5lb. line once, but have never seen it since. I'm pushing 80 and been fishing for over 70 of those years. Still learning from youngsters like you. I'm pretty sure your a better fisherman than me.😊
Rob! my brother ...with all youre knowledge and great unselfish advise you give ..you got a big heart .not holding back youre best fishing spots and expertise...you really should consider starting up a pod- cast tutorial program..just a thought man !😊..GOD bless !
Thanks brother I really appreciate the kind words. Im not sure about the podcast but I am planning on doing more live Q&A deals on RUclips and Instagram in yhe near future
Great video! Just want to clarify that you only lift the rod to set the hook with J-hooks and lures using J-hooks. For circle hooks, you merely crank the reel to set the hook (you can skip the lifting of the rod). In fact if you lift the rod with circle hooks then you will fail to set the hook.
I live in Southern California so most of the videos are filmed here but I try to get up to Utah, Nevada, and the Eastern Sierra as much as possible. Where are you located
ANUTHA GREAT VID my friend. 🙂👍 Appreciate these "how to" vidz as always man. 😊 Gotta ask, is there any other way of fishing, providing you're prepped n'all, that's as satisfying and/or relaxing as fishing in the rain or snow as far as your opinion?🤔 Myself, the question is already answered...just curious what you thought is all. Keep these comin bro...lookin forward to the next installment. As always, Peace. ✌😎
i love your channel thanks i was wondering?ive been trying to find those katana rods everywhere could you help me out on where to find them thanks tight lines.
Hello and thanks for all your awesome vids .. I’m going to mammoth with my daughter who is 6 . Can you recommend a lake and a setup I can use to put her on some fish Please and thanks again.!!?
I really like Lake Mamie, Lundy Lake, & Little Virginia/ Big Virginia this time of year. The two main bait rigs I use up there are the Carolina rig and a basic bobber rig with a 4-5’ leader.
You can get them on instagram. Send a DM to either @katanarods2022 or @gsfcustombaits and they can get you all the information. The next big shipment of rods is expected around the first week of April

Haha super happy to be called a youngster, don’t hear that as much as I used to. Yeah 5lb is still pretty rare. 4lb is close enough
Great tutorial!

Good to know. Actually a circle hook may work well for this technique, I just don’t know of any jig makers that use circle hooks in that small size
Good info!!
Thank you 😊
Hi, i learned so much, you do a great job explaining everything. What state are you fishing in?
I live in Southern California so most of the videos are filmed here but I try to get up to Utah, Nevada, and the Eastern Sierra as much as possible. Where are you located

Hey Rob love your videos, which lake did you go to thanks?
As I remember, it’s Green Valley Lake CA, Fish Lake UT, and Red Creek Reservoir UT.
Do you ever have any line issues not using a swivel?
No, I haven’t noticed any issues at all. The only time that I can think of that I use swivels is when trolling 🤘
Was that green valley- crawly- Owen’s river ???
Very close as they definitely look similar. It was Green Valley Lake, CA, Fish Lake, UT, and Red Creek Reservoir, UT.
