Rob, just got the clips today and now I see what u mean about the large snaps even being super small. Those are very trick!! I'll be using these all the time now. Thanks for the tip!
The are fly fishing snaps and they work great. The size I use are L (large) which sounds strange but the small and medium are just too tiny for me to use. Here is a link if you want to check them out No-Knot Fast Snaps Fly Fishing... www.amazon.com/dp/B094QQZQG8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Im the only one on the team that uses them and I still do currently. I haven’t noticed any difference whatsoever in action, catch rates, etc. If I did notice a difference I wouldn’t use them 🤘
Hey Rob, do you know where i can buy the K4? Do you know if GSF will have them in the future? Cant wait to see you out at SARL and fish with you again. Thanks
The K4 is no longer available. The K1, K4, and K5 were all custom prototypes for the new “Katana”. Its a mix between the K4 and the K5 so you can mini jig and dropshot with it. I just got mine before the sierra opener and I actually like it better. Its even lighter than the custom versions 🤷🏼♂️. Just message @katanarods2022 or @gsfcustombaits and they’ll get ya set up.
It really depends on the lb test of the line and if its a Japanese version or the version sold here in the states. The information is available online on both
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors i got the US version and I fit 175 yards of the 6lb iron feather. I’m wondering how much more I would need for 3lb iron feather. The listed specs is never accurate from my experience
I need your help I am fishing a big trout Derby on the 18th should I drop shot are throw jigs I have a 2 pole endorsement it at ochoco reservoir here in central OREGON what should I do bro
Looking at videos of the lake it doesn’t look like there is much opportunity to effectively dropshot. Looks like lots of rocks and clear water. It probably start with mini jigs and ball head minnows. Looks like spoons may be effective there as well. Dont count any one technique out. Dropshot may very well be effective in certain areas of that lake. I always try everything until i find something the trout want that day 🤘
Float tubes are good to go there. Its an additional $10 launch fee. You gotta have all the usual safety equipment, PFD, whistle, etc and you can only be out there during daylight

Thank you Rob, much appreciated! I'll grab some. That's a super way to change jigs out fast, I like it.

Yeah I saw that but im stuck on the beach until Friday. I got home chores to do this week 😢
Got a question for you, do you and gsf still use the fly clips for clipping on your jigs? Do they affect the jig action or bite at all?

How many yards of line does the stella hold? I’m looking to get some lighter line for my 1000fk

Question, do you put a weight on the mini rig setup or is the weight of the mini rig enough?
Just the weight of the mini jig itself. Any additional weight would affect the action of the jig
