I’m on the fence. On one hand if it’s for modern gaming I would swap the motherboard and other components. On the other hand I’d keep it stock for XP or Vista if there’s chipset drivers (same Linux, Clover, or a NAS).
something to note is if your gonna try and replicate this pc id go with a full profile gtx 1060 since there going for the same price as a 1050ti low profile
That's fair. I paired this combo based on deals I was able to find. I have a 1060 6GB waiting to be paired with a CPU, I just haven't purchased one yet.
🙂 yes the classic haswell 4th gen board, yes you can do the same with the full size tower or the SFF tower, i have tested them both, haswell i7 chips are cheap rite now at 30 bucks

There might be drivers for an older Windows OS, but this PC would have been released with Windows 7. Linux of course is no problem.

microcenter has a basic msi laptop with a 2050, just get that one, it runs like a 1650 laptop, it costs 450 plus tax

@@HaisteComputerRepair 250GB Samsung 870 EVO ssd and thermal paste. Upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 clean install. Did a BIOS update too.
