A standard ATX power supply will have something these proprietary Dell units don’t have: a PCIe power cable for a GPU
Ideally you’ll want to use a modular power supply
Say Elijah, would you try the new 3050 6 gigs variant for a build like this? 70 W from PCIe slot alone seems safer for builds like this.
Hey elijah I hope you see this but I just wanna say thanks because you're the reason I got into pcs and am trying to flip pcs and make videos on it @virtualtl is the channel I hope you notice it
elijah i love you bro but this is a fire hazard, a new psu is 100% needed for a 3060
For thos scared for the sata connectors its not a problem there a video showing someone pushing over 240 watts through the cables the problem is that the watts on a psu should allways be underused nit overused
his shirt changed from black to gray when he was installing the gpu anyone know how?
How do you can put a 3060 ti in the PSU has got just got 250 watts and it uses 200 watts and the cpu 70 watts.
honestly im surprised a 3060 even works on a 240w psu
i also
love the vids
I was testing with an HD 5570 graphics card that has a consumption very much lower than that and it did not give me video, do you think it is because of the adapter since it is not the same, it is only one SATA port to 6 pin GPU. I also tried on several pcie express x16 ports
I'm afraid to buy the 1660 or 1650 Super and that they won't give me an image, which would be useless if it doesn't work and I would waste money and time.
specifications of the DELL that I have DELL OPTIPLEX 7040 MT 32 GB ram hdd 2tb, nvme 1tb the HD5570 was tested on another computer and gave an image
watching this after recieving my optiplex 7070 i5 8500 😂😂ill go for the 2060 though to avoid the bottleneck
isnt the rtx 3060 a little overkillfor this? i would go for like a gtx 1660 idk tho
are there any 300 or 400w psus for the mt that can fit inside the case??
it runs better than my pc
um would it still be able to run fortnitevand warzone without any upgrades?
Probably
Where do i get a flash drive with install media onnit
