    I'm wondering how much you might to planer off the top to get it somewhat usable. Rather the reset all the vise mortise and just use the top somewhat cleaned up.

      Yeah that’s exactly what I would do if a hundred school kids hadn’t hammered a million small nails into it. So many nails it could be used as a welders bench!!

    Just my two cents. Put the two rabbit Ed edges toward the middle and make a fitted board to drop in when you need it flat all across the width.

      @@CaptainofmyShed yes I agree if it was going as a show piece somewhere but if you wand a quality work bench to make quality future projects I would fit new.
