Thank you, Scott Manley!
I finally googled Scott Manley.
Maverick, these tutorials are so great!
Glad you think so, thanks man
You are one of the best tutorial makers, thank you so much for doing this
You're very welcome mate, I’ll keep making more
@@104thMaverick awesome
SHOUTOUT SCOTT MANLEY!
Nice! Many forget about the amazing capabilities of the A-G radar on 4th generation fighters.
My issues always seem to be remembering SCS-right locks the target and not pressing the TDC button. Gotta try this today.
You can still press the TDC over the target brother, it will still slave the camera to that position it just won’t auto track the target.
Excellent vids Mav, keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
Hahaha what an intro ! Excellent guide as always...building a nice library of Mavs guide to.... :)
Glad you liked it mate.
A great instruction video...short and sweet. TY!
You're welcome!
Cheers mav, I find your tutorials clear precise and straight to the point, keep them comig buddy. Jim
Cheers Jim, will do sir
Love it! This was quick, to the point, and easily understandable.
Some others on youtube are THE COMPLETE opposite, and longer lol!
Thank you for this video bro!
Glad it was helpful mate!
Congrats on the promotion, Mav. Thought you were a terminal Captain. Guess that means you're buying at the O'Club tonight. Time for a wetting down...
Yes I am! 🤣
Smooch, thanks babe
Another great one, thanks mate!
My pleasure!
Well done video. And the Hornet is a badass bird.
Thanks Christopher, she really is!
GREAT video thanks!!
You’re welcome mate
Very cool. I've pretty much avoided using the ground radar, but this seems like a great way to employ it. Also love the YEET seat decal!
Glad you liked it thanks Bullet
really helpful Thanks!!!
Glad it helped!
Ok got to put this in my lesson plan.
Thanks, that'll help a lot!
No problem! Have fun!
Thanks 👍
Your channel name should be Nott Manley
Easy peasy!
When you know, you know 😉
Nice !
✌
Loving your videos mate, helping me out a great deal.
Just started using VR, and OMG! But is there any way to get your left mouse click binded to a stick or throttle button?
It should be listed under MOUSE in the control options brother
@@104thMaverick I was stupidly using the static center mouse crosshairs on the VR, bad idea. I was literally breaking my neck trying to get to the left and right panels in VR, then I found the free mouse option lol... Doh!
Nice tutorials. I really need to put some more time in the Hornet. She's been in the hangar for awhile because I've been dating the Viper 😂
Thanks mate
How do you move the camera location so close to the plyon?
great video, but I'm curious that your server is now empty and no one is playing on it
We normally all jump in on a Saturday and Sunday mate
You discount Scott Manley you 😂
IS there a way to DL your Track IR profile.. I like the way it moves
I use the default TrackIR profile called 'Smooth' and I engage precision mode mate
Does that apply to finding targets floating over water? Ships, boats, BMP's crossing a lake, etc.
Yes brother however instead of entering GMT mode on the ground radar you would press the button one more time to get into SEA mode
what POD i need for this to work...my radar doesn't track ground, only airborne targets?
It works with both pods mate, you need to be in Air to Ground mode. In the video I’m using the ATFLIR pod
Good tutorial
I always use the GMT mod in the ground radar in the hornet but it is only 40 nm maximam scan..!! While in the Viper i can search up to 80 nm and much cleare picture..! ... So why is that..!!
Does this work for non-moving targets?
No sadly not
can it be used to get pictures of non moving targets or thats too difficult? ?
No, in GMT mode the targets have to be actually moving mate.
@@104thMaverick not in GMT sorry, i mean normal radar mode.
cant find anything on this
AFAIK sir no it cannot in any other mode.
@@104thMaverickoh glad I caught that answer. Would of spent hours trying to catch static targets.
Do you know Scott Manley?
No, he's from roughly the same part of Scotland that I am from and people are always saying we sound alike tho.
@@104thMaverick coincidentally he's currently working on his ppl.
So aircraft radars can’t detect stationary ground targets?
Correct as far as the DCS F18 goes
This really doesn't help lol. I thought this was going to be how to find ground targets using the radar, not using GMT mode to have the radar find moving targets for you. Most ground targets you encounter are not going to be moving.
