Thank you for not poverty-shaming like so many others of this hobby do. I work a simple job and don't have the money for high end dolls. I just want to play dress-up and be happy.
Yes, heal my soul by having a doll that can finally move and have nice eyes and be symmetrical, I can't wait for my first one I bought second hand off ebay
I now own a 66$ doll that I abore her with my hole being so I am 100% on ur side on this so thank u for validating the cheaper side of the bjd community
I am glad you put this up because all the pressure that's put on people about dolls...they should listen to wise people like you and put their energy towards helping real suffering rather than picking on people about the dolls they should or shouldn't buy...thank you and your dolls are gorgeous (I did know about Resinsoul which is odd for me because I am new but there you go!).
Thank you so much. ;) I totally agree. This hobby os not about bitching on one another. Everybody shoulld be able to enjoy it. and the costs of your doll should not matter.
Also it was so helpfull regarding not falling for the cheap aliexpress/amazon dolls as alternatives. I‘m hesitant of buying from there because, not wanting to support exploitative companies aside, I‘m really wary of those dolls containing poisonous chemicals like lead
You're so right, enjoyment of a doll is SO much more important than price. My first doll is a Minifee Chloe in tan, which is kind of expensive. I recently got a MYOUdoll, which is more affordable and a Charm Doll on the way. I'm really looking at getting a Resinsoul Rong, because I love the sculpt so much (and I have to admit I'm quite inspired by your deer boy). I don't care if a doll is 500 or 150 euros, when they're cute and I love them, that's all that matters.
I am so happy yo hear that there are like- minded people out there who don't care about the price tag of a legit doll. Cheap can be just as good and sometimes even better than expensive. 😄
Luckily you don't need to spend a insane amount of money on a doll. I personally can't either. That's just not really in my cards either. I hope you can one day buy yourself a doll.
Thank you so much for this video. Some don't understand that not everyone have the money for expensive doll like me. I'm a mom and having a bjd took me a year to save money to buy a doll that cost $67.
I have dolls from Luts, Volks, Dollshe, Dollzone, Soom, etc...but my Resinsoul Song is my favorite doll. (and he was not my first doll either) Your Rong boy is freaking adorable and makes me want one
The only reason I have a Dollshe on the way is because of a sale that made the doll $200. But my Resinsoul Mei is definitely getting more of my attention right now
I started to regain my interest in bjds again and I'm really glad I found your video. Before, the only companies I knew were fairyland and ringdoll and the dolls there are really expensive. A single US dollar costs like around 50-52 Philippine peso and that is quite a lot for me. When I found out about resinsoul, it gave me hope, that I will be able to own my own bjd. It's like a dream come true but unfortunately for me, I couldn't find something that I really want (tho I saw one that I like and I'm willing to risk buying it but it was kinda meh to me). Then I found out about kids sky and saw the Malachite doll and I immediately fell in love! It has the perfect sculpt that I've been looking for! I wanted to thank you for doing this video, because of this, my will to buy a bjd just got stronger :)
You are never late to respond to a video. Please don't ever think that 😉. I am glad this video was of support to you. And I totaly understand that expensice dolls are not afordable for everyone. I am so happy to hear you have found a dolls you love at kids sky. I hope and wish you'll be able to buy it soon.
Thank you so much for making a video like this! I realy want a doll but Im realy young And playing about 400 - 900 is not my thing at all. So Thank you so much for this video! Much love for you stay focused On this hobby cause Its for sure fun!❤️
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I am happy to hear this video was of use to you and I hope that you will be able to enjoy this awesome hobby as well! ;)
i'm about to receive a Doll Leaves Louis, which - with the faceup, wig, and shipping - costed me ~$272 :) i absolutely fell in love when i found him, and he is a brilliant alternative to who i was previously saving for (doll chateau Ona, ~$800 w/ faceup)
Hi :) I wanna thank you for making this video, when I first got into this hobbie years ago I definitely heard a lot of that "good dolls are expensive dolls" and "if you can't save up for one, are you really interested in this hobbie?", both in the international forum as well in the local brazilian forums. I bought a Bobobie Sprite and I feel like I was never capable of fulling enjoying her because of that classism and that way of thinking. Both of your boys in this video are adorable, specially the ResinSoul one.
Please don't let elitists ruin your hobby. I have a bobobie sprite too, and I adore that doll more than I do some of my more expensive dolls. Don;t ever let anybody tell you that you can not enjoy this hobby with a "cheaper" doll. :)
Thank you so much for this video... Living in Colombia, the USD to COP is quite significant, and wanting a BJD is more a dream than a reality with the prices most keep. I want to support independent artists and avoid recasts as much as I can, but I cannot afford buying something that actually would be worth more than one month's work paycheck. I loved the ibg dolls listings!
I got a Resinsoul Mei from a friend a few months ago and I am seriously considering getting more of their dolls in the future. My first two BJDs are from small artists on Instagram and then I got Mei a couple months ago and I am really connecting with her
Good message you are bringing the price doesn't matter as long as you are happy with your dolls. i paid 56 euro for my pullip doll second hand in 2014 and shes still here with me.
Ah, I think this was a dangerous video for me to watch. I have two dolls and had been thinking about another - learning about a bunch new makers to go and look at probably wasn't clever!! In terms of $$$ I'm not really stuck within a BJD community (not even sure there is one in New Zealand) but my two weren't cheap. Price did come into play, because I had to conver to NZ dollars (ouch), but I got head/body from IOS because I loved the head (Blue) and got head/body/face-up (Rhaegar) from Aimerai because the doll was pretty much a character in a novel I'm writing. Cost does play a part in my decision, but I find that if the doll hooks me in then the cost's just going to have to be worn! Thanks for this video. Very interesting.
I have 2 'cheap' 72cm dolls that I just adore. They are looked down on in the BJD community but I love them. I have found online communities that accept cheap dolls (mind you they were still AUD $300+ each) and when I post pics of my boys I get swamped with messages saying how gorgeous they are. They are good quality with beautiful face ups. So I don't give a damn about how much a doll costs or what company you bought a doll from, if you like it and can afford it, buy it and enjoy it. Your doll is your doll, forget the judgmental critics out there and have a doll for the joy of it not the brand name stamped on its head...
My only bjd is resin soul. I found her with a faceup on sale at an anime convention for $110 and I fell in love immediatly. Shes the green sea nymph and I've never seen anything else like her. I got her in 2009 and still love her
My first BJD was a Bobobie Tony, it's like a parent or sister company to Resinsoul, and I adore him so much. He's one of my favorite things in the world and I've had him for years, I couldn't even imagine selling him
Gonna buy my first bjd , its on the way, its a bit cheap, but its all i can afford right now plus she's gorgeous and i cant wait to see her , i plan on styling her hair and dresses once she arrived 💓 your video really encourage me to go for what i love and think its pretty 😊
Thank you for this video! I adore how beautiful BJDs look and have wanted to add one to my collection to step it up (I currently just collect cheaper fashion dolls like Monster High and Ever After High for customizing. Also use them for drawing reference by making miniatures of my characters clothes so I have a 3D version of them at all angles), but the cost has always made me think I never could. I always see so many people with BJDs say that you have to save up, that you have to buy an expensive doll, that if you can't afford it you still have to save up, ect, so this is really helpful! Looking at Resinsoul I'm kinda already gravitating towards Resinsoul Mei-I love fantasy characters and her faceup looks gorgeous! She's cheap too-I'll be keeping both her and the site in mind ^^ Beautiful dolls by the way! Especially the one on the left-I love his deer antlers and nose.
I am so happy to hear this video was helpful for you. And please don't let anybody tell you, that you need an expensive doll to enjoy the hobby. This is so not true. ;) The resinsoul mei is adorable, she was my first ever doll I bought and I loved to bit. I did end up selling her and buying her in back in another skintone. ( my first one was purple skinned and I bought a normal skin version for my second.) I still love that mold to bits, even after 13 years in this hobby.
Thank you for the links! They will be helpful as I totally can't afford much. It does take me several months to save enough to buy even inexpensive dolls.
I'm on your side i just bought 1/6 bjd doll and I adore her even if she's less than 4 dollars and plus shipping recently I have practiced everything from crochet dress, wigs, to jewelries and more. She have, but no problem I love her. I can't afford those expensive ones, and i look forward to buy the bigger and can open their heads
Less that $4 that is really cheap 😱 that is a great find 😄 But I amhappy to hear she brings yoy so much joy. That is what the hobby to me is all about.
@@Loony_coony yeah, I have to admit she have flaws but, I just want to try bjd since I have been preparing for her to come practicing the wigs and dresses to ordinary and cheap dolls
Great video. I like the idea that you are putting this out. Many people think they have to pay many dollars in order to have a great piece. Even if you buy the same doll at the same time but you get a discount on it . They will say you don't have one as valued the original price one. A person should buy what attracts your eye and your budget.
THE AMOUNT OF HOPE THIS GAVE ME- I’ve been in love with bjd’s since I ever first saw one and I didn’t even know what it was. I WAS SIX- now I’m 13 and seeing HOPE AHHHHHH I found one for 35-23 USD and it’s well within a budget I can get even from loose change
My favorite company is MYOU. They're reasonably priced from $390 to low as $130 for basic. I have two of their Girls which I got during an event via Alice's Collections for under $600 and mind you one was Fullset and the other in Tan. :) Had them for a few months and love them still. And you mentioned other companies I am interested in like Resin Soul. What sculpt is your ResinSoul?
@@Loony_coony Oh they're awesome Dolls. They hold great poses andstand like a rock. And my tan girl has literally no seam lines and only $25 extra for tan to boot! O.o I jumped at the opportunity and am in love with the tan skin. My other girl is in coffee skin which I also adore. Body version I and III are Double Jointed. Thanks for telling me. :)
@@Loony_coony I'm actually planning to buy another one too once things calm down enough. I know if I do now I would probably be waiting a long time as he/she would come from overseas which is basically on lockdown.
Yeah, this might not be the best time to order a doll. I hope this whole drama and that stupid virus will pass soon. I am curious though, Which myou molds do you have? :)
Awesome video, will have a look at your links Depends where ur line is for affordable. But I love Myou dolls, their 1/4 girl version 1. three part body on delia sculpt is fantastic, super smooth resin, the only boo for them was the quality of the wigs which were thin and felt so rough n nasty but the doll and the resin and quality of the face up is fantastic. their price in the UK in 2019 for yosd before face up is just under 200. I have just got a boy v2 doll in the MSD size in Myou his resin is still fantastic, his posablity is amazing in that you can pose him any which way but this skinny boy can't be left standing as the one I have is a bit kicky and not stable in standing un attended. but sitting and putting his hand to his face etc is all fantastic as he is double jointed. My most expensive doll was Blue Fairy, fantastic hair, awesome doll but the resin on Myou is so much silkier. will have a look at the companies you mention. thanks for a fantastic video, at last a voice of reason in the hobbyx
I have heard many great things about Myou doll as well. I actually have one of their dolls on my wishlist. I hope to one day see what their dolls are like in person. But hearing your words makes me think it'll be a good experience. Thank you for that!! I am sure people who read the comments will find this helpful as well. ;)
@@Loony_coony My blog is mostly about craft but there were a bunch of bjd post together starting here billiescraftroom.wordpress.com/2019/03/15/meet-my-resin-family-of-bjds/ Delia is the one in pink dress. shes fantasic resin and face up. The one in beige jumper is the Blue Fairy. The littlest one is a 1/8 Myou, her head is a bit flicky and the wig they sent didn't fit, was so sparce you could see the wig cap through the hair and the hair was so crispy it was like straw. but the 1/4 girl was awesome. In later posts you will see the Myou boy he's Athur but wouldn't stand and I only sit him leaning on something he was the skinny boy body. It has its pros n cons but Myou Girl body 1 and 3 part body is fantastic and sturdy. Its also the less skinny option, there is a boy body in that version too. The other dolls follow on the next few posts so I won't throw lots of links in here. Arthur was so skinny he reiminded me of Edward in Twilight hehe, both are the Normal Myou resin colour. If you have any questions about them do ask, I'd be happy to reply, here or on the other blog.
I've been in this hobbie for about 13 years, I've always gone for Luts, dragon doll and doll zone ( before they changed the collection and made them creepy lol.) I always thought I had to buy the best like you said in dolls, clothes, wigs ....... The other day I bought my first unbranded bjd from Hong Kong, I've been so nervous about the face up and the kind of resen used that I started to regret. Watching your video really helped me feel a lot better about my choice and how I should be less predudise. I fell in love with with the doll after all, your little ones are adorable ild love to see them in a photoshoot. :)
thank you for introducing me to resinsoul. i’m almost afraid to continue the video (i’m at 6:27) because i’m afraid that i’ll find another company i enjoy more. i’ve seen resinsoul in the comments of bjd videos, and i’m still very very new to this whole scene. i’ve known about them for 5 years now but everything was very very confusing so i stayed away. i thought they were a bad company and i wanted to save for either a Smart Doll or a Fairyland Minifee doll- but i think Resinsoul Mei is the one for me ultimately. at least as a beginner doll- though unlike what people say i don’t think i’m going to sell her after i become experienced with the craft.
Don't feel the need to buy an expensive doll when you can love one just as much when it doesn't cost as much. I have 2 resinsoul dolls and I love them both. One of them is a Mei as well. It's my favorite mold next to the rong. And don't listen to people when they say this is a "Bad" company. There are far worse companies out there, that ask a buttload of money and don't deliver the quality of resinsoul or take 2 frigging years to send you your doll ;)
15 years ago, I wanted a Lutz doll worth RM4000, I was only 16, my dad was telling me it wasn't worth it and I agreed. Its too expensive. Now I just bought a 1/6 doll to custom and it only cost me RM40 and im beyond happy. It hasn't arrived but I'm happy enough I finally have my own BJD 😭😭😭
I’m on 100% on your side but I fell in love with smart doll starlight and I’m glad that I spent the money and it’s worth the money if if it you’ll be really low with money after words
The doll I fell in love with is way too expensive, so I looked for less expensive dolls. I am happy with my cheaper doll, he is my baby, and I love him. and where is this Fantasy Doll? I searched and found nothing. They may not exist anymore.
There is nothing wrong with a cheap doll as long as you enjoy having him. There is nothing more important than that. And you can find fantasydoll at this link ;) www.fdoll.com/
Kyanara thanks. Yes, I do enjoy his company. I am currently crocheting him a little blanket, also a human-sized afghan. I found my next doll, and I hope I can get her before it's too late
Quick questions: * Where can I buy the thing you used to make those dolls' hair? My friend is looking for something similar for a costume * What's the name of the color of their hair? My friend wants to make a yarn wig but can't find the right color.
The wig for my resinsoul boy is from Monique. Unfortunately they are no longer in business. The wig for my kids sky is faux fur. Which I bought at my local fabric shop. I am afraid I can't really provide you with names of the colors of the faux fur. But the monique wig colorname was carrot red.
My first 3 dolls would be considered cheap, my first a single company hybrid from resinsoul dan/ai, my second a second hand dollzone from 2005(I paid 100 for him) my third was chi from angel of dream. Even though I now have 14 dolls from many different companies my resinsoul girl is still the doll I love to pose and take photos of
I totally agree with you. My first doll I bought was a resinsoul and I have had many many other dolls from so many different companies and I still love my resinsouls the most
Connoisseurs of bjd will purchase the dolls directly from the artists who usually make a limited number of dolls. That is one of the reasons that bdjs from the artists are so pricey. Second-hand dolls are usually pricey because they are so rare. I just wanted bjd because I enjoy making clothes for them and posing them in different places. The o.g. artists have a loyal fan base that will always buy from them.
Ow yes a bobo is very cute as well. I have had the pleasure of seeing one in persone some time ago. And the song is on my wishlist as well. Such a beautiful sculpt with so much potential😄
@@Loony_coony I have another question, do you have to register on the web page (kid sky) to buy a doll, or you can do it without having to register? And how much time it takes to the doll to get to your contry (in case its US or Central America)? Thank you
@@eucf5225 I ended up ordering via acbjd.com that is an official dealer of kids sky. So I don't know if you can order without aan account on their official website. If I can, I always order through acbjd. Their service is amazing. The doll took about 3 months to get to me after ordering. I love in the Netherlands.
This is really useful. I looked up at a really beautiful doll and i saw 560, but then i reminded that it was euro and not ron. In ron it would come like 2000 xD I saved the picture and forgot about it.
I am glad this was useful. €560 euro's is a lot of money. I can totally understand people not wanting to pay that. I am glad this video was of help to you #^.^#
I know this video is years old but I’m having trouble navigating and buying things from certain sites such as aod. I can’t figure out where/how to buy products and such on it
Sorry for my late reply. AOD is indeed a though company to buy from directly. If you have fallen in love with one of their molds you can visit www.acbjd.com/ They are an official dealer for OAD and most of the other companies I named in my video except for resinsoul. :) Hope this helps you
Yes, I have seen their prices and they are indeed very afordable as well. I have never owned one of their sculpts before. But it is indeed a company one can look at too with a small budget
Thank you for this I just found my fave doll from kid sky and I'm really planning to save for it. I was about to buy a recast bc I can't afford legit one but after hearing how bitter the community is I stayed with my ICY dolls (it's blythe recasts) I'm not really into brand I'm into quality and cuteness that's why I prefer ICY from blythe since Blythe is so expensive to mess up 😂😂 but in terms of bjd I wanted to buy a legit one but not too expensive..
I am so happy to hear you were able yo find a legit doll that fits your tastes and your budget. I hope you'll be able to get it soon. All the best of luck with saving 😉 they are so worth it. Kids sky is an amazing company.
I‘m hopeful I can find a cheaper 1/3 scale doll that catches my eye. I’m not big on MSD sized dolls, and it’s very difficult to find an affordable SD sized doll. I do think MSD sized dolls are gorgeous, but not my cup of tea.
I totally understand. I had a long time where I could not do anything with dolls smaller than. 60cm. It has changed over the last couple of years, but I totally know the feeling. Luckily the brands in this vid have very affordable SD dolls. Though they will always be a bit higher in price because of their size. I hope you'll be able to find that perfect doll for you.
Thanks really much for sharing. I can't get those fancy expensive dolls as I don't see the justification of the cost, but I don't want to buy a recast because damn that would be unfair too. So I don't mind shelling out like $60-$70 for one.
I hope you can find one that suits your budget. I would advise you to keep track on the secondhand market. You can find a few good gems for little money if you look closely ;) Think of a forum as Den Of Angels or facebook groups dedicated to selling dolls.
Yes ofcourse I do ;) This is the link for the bigger one resinsoul.com/05-chanpin/p-001-1.asp?id=400 And this is the link to the smaller one. www.acbjd.com/bing-bing-p-11282.html
Hello! I am glad to find this video :D Unfortunately the website you link for Boy and Girl gives a 404 error :( You may want to add a note to your list; I don't know if they moved, or closed, or what... But the rest still work!
A lot of your companies either they don’t exist or the whole site is in Chinese , please make sure the companies you put down either they are still working or we can understand the site Thanks
I know some of the official sites are in another language. I do mention this in my description. Written above the links to the official sites. In the description I also mention that you can visit alice's collections (alicescollections.com) whom is an official dealer for many of the companies I listed in the video(all except resinsoul) and many more amazing and cheap companies can be found on that site. It is completely in English and their customer service is amazing. I am sorry about the ones that are not working. I will look into that. Unfortunately I can not be on top of that 24/7 😊 but thank you for the heads up about it.
i'm the opposite of you lol, i don't have a bjd rn but i don't want any boys for my dolls XD i looove girl dolls with pastel colored lolita dress so much ! but thank you so much for this video, this inspired me for saving for my first doll
I would advice to go to alicescollections.com they are 100%s safe to buy from. I buy from them all the time and they are very kind and their customer service is amazing 😊
@@Loony_coony thanks for replying so quickly but i went to the link and still says insecure (sensitive information such as credit card numbers could be stolen by hackers) so is there any shops in the uk that you would recomend?
Okay, I have never had any problems with that with alices collections. But I can understand you don't wanna take the risk. I do believe angelesque is from the uk. They don't have as much choice as Alice's. And I am not sure how their pricing, or if they sell any of the cheaper brand dolls is as I normally don't shop there. But I know a good friend has and she has never had problems with them. Their link is angelesquedolls.com
I just walked at this video but i want to know what do you think about recast? They are cheap dolls too, the artist sells their sculpt to the company and the company makes a recast too because the only legit doll in this process is the artist's sculpt and the recasts can be as expensive as the legits. Sometimes the artist gets only money for the one sculpt and nothing else, what do you think about this?
Thank you so much for watching my video and for leaving a comment. There is already such a big and heavy discussion about the recast subject. And it is not one that I'd like to be having in the comments of my video's. That is the reason I am chosing to not go into any further detail about your questions. I made this video solely for the purpose of telling peolple about their options in getting legit good quality and cheap dolls. And that it what I'd like to keep it at. I hope you can understand my descision in this. Thank you.
Hi! thank u for ur videos. U seem to be the most down to Earth BJD vblogger here. I’m more than new to the hobby but I know I started liking the wrong crowd (Bychkova, Popovy, etc). lol. I would like to buy a few dolls and already like small ones (1/8 or 1/6) I want them adult looking. Could you point me somewhere? Went to Ebay and Etsy but I’d like something else. Thanks.
I have to admit I am not too well known in the adult smaller dolls as I do not collect them myself. I do know of the Fairyland Chicline, but you'd have to check the secondhand market for those as they are not sold by the company anymore. The only other thing I can think of is to have a look on sites like Alice's collections. They have a wide range of different companies, perhaps they have something.
You can put them in the sun if you want too. They won't melt. But they will do what we in the hobby call yellowing. All things made from resin will in time yellow in color but if you put a resin item in the sun, the items will yellow faster then when you keep it out of the sun
I am not sure what kind of mixed race you are looking for? There are so many option when it comes to that, so many optional mixes. Most companies sell their dolls in several skin tones from very pale to dark skin tones. Which can help you achieve the look you are looking for. I know Souldolls sells some dolls that could easily pass for mix raced dolls and sometimes Soom has had one or two in the past. But I am not sure they are available anymore. Unfortunately I can't recall any others. I'd advise you to have a look at the site of alice's collections They are dealer for a wide range of doll company's, maybe you can find what you are looking for there. (souldoll.com gem.sollsoom.com alice'scollections.com)
No I wasn't joking. I bought my kids sky doll via alice's collections and he was about 150. Their sd's are about 360. They are not that expensive. www.acbjd.com/kids-sky-ksky-60cm-c-453_455.html?zenid=bb343bfe83d81e61b1e5525d85516bd3 Here is a link to. I promise you they are really affordable.
Hello! So I was looking at the Kids Sky website and I’m really confused by the prices. I was looking at a 1/4 scale doll and it said “990” is it $990.00? Because that’s a lot for a 1/4 scale idk maybe I pulled up the website wrong or something. If anyone could tell me I would really appreciate it! 😊
The official website is indeed a bit confusing. But the currency they use is not USD. IIf you are interested in Kids sky I would advice you to have a look at their dealer alice's collections. That is where mine came from. Their site in in english and their curreny is USD. Here is a direct link to their Kids sky part. www.acbjd.com/kids-sky-c-453.html?zenid=0c763f7202df931097855486132b1a56
Hey I wanted to know how I could get the doll on the right and i wanted to know what category he is on Kids Sky because I absolutely adore him and I was thinking on getting him. Also great video!
He is a kids skye bingbing and he belongs to their 27 cm range. Here is a link for you ;) www.acbjd.com/bing-bing-p-11282.html?cPath=453_457&zenid=6158ffd60487ad8e8f274c13f1eec20d
I am afraid that there is no company that sells dolls for $60. If you don't mind spending a little bit more resinsoul might be something for you. Their dolls start at around $70.
I am not sure if it is chineese. I am afraid I can't read the official website. 😅 it's not USD, for sure. If you are having trouble with the site and currency, you can visit alicescollections.com, they sell in USD and is in english. They sell kids skye dolls as official agents.
I am afraid that is a hard question for me to answer. It totally depends on which doll you want to purchase. The best advice I can give you is look for a doll you love and then use a currency converter to find out what it costs in your own currency.
I didn't. I got him on the girl body and modded the body to me a male one. But if you want him on the male body you can mail resinsoul. They are super helpful and they will swap bodies for you upon request.
I am afraid to tell you this, but all dolls sold on Aliexpress are counterfeits or as we call them, recast dolls. These dolls do not come from the original sculptors but are stolen from the original owners. It's Pretty much the same as with all aliexpress goods, it's fake and cheaply made (not the best materials) just for profit. The original owners of these sculpt do not see any of the money made by dolls sold on aliexpress.
No,not all resinsoul dolls are single jointed. My rong for example is double jointed. They sell a a couple of diffent types of bodies. Some are single jointed others are double. What helps single jointed dolls pose better is put a small piece of aluminum wire in their arms through the joint. This give the joint something to hokd on to in poses.
It's really hard to tell on their website. You can visit their body section to look at the bodies more close. resinsoul.com/05-chanpin/p-001.asp?styleid=322 Or shoot them a message if you have any doubts. They have very nice and helpfull people at customer service and they will answer all your questions very quickly.
The links I provided are the links to the official websites of the companies. Unfortunately I can't do much about the fact that some are not in English, nor can I do anything about sites that might have gone down after making this video or might have technical issues. But you can go to Alice's collections, which is an agent for most of the companies listed, except Resinsoul. Their website is in English and is a reliable site to buy from. That is a shame, I know how you feel. I could not buy one when I first found out about them. I did have to save up for a looong time to be able to afford one. But it is worth it in the end. Patience is the key. ;) one day your day will come too.
I’m saving 360$ for an island doll Amy Versailles or maybe an impldoll 58cm (345$) cheaper than most, I don’t know which one to get yet but I like both
Those are very pretty dolls. I hope you'll be able to save up the funds soon. I have been looking into getting an IMPL doll myself for one of my characters. I love some of their male scupts. And I have had head from them before. They are of really good quality, so worth their price.
I am sorry to ask. But do you mean black as I the color black, or in the human skincomplection? Resinsoul does have a dark tan complection. That might be something for you?
I can’t afford to buy the nice dolls I buy the cheap ones and they are perfectly fine plus I will be 70 this year and I buy them so I can make doll cloths
@@Loony_coony Thank you :) does the Rong body come with its head? When you bought him or do you have to buy the head separate? Sorry for so many questions
The rong officially comes with a female body. I removed the boobies from the body to make him a boy. But if you prefer a real boy body you can send resinsoul an email. They are very sweet and kind people and will gladly sell you the head with the male body in one purchase.
im so glad there are people in the doll community that understand that not everyone is rich and that doesnt mean you don't deserve to have one.
Where did you get your doll from?
where from?
@@oxysatlantic4126 you can find lots on aliexpress and amazon. Just make sure to read reviews x
@@miracle3901 imm a little scared of aliexpress. the site looks a bit... fishy
Aliexpress and Amazon BJDs are recasts, please don’t buy from there !!
I'm currently saving for a resinsoul Yang, and I totally did fall in love with him before I looked at the pricetag, which is a total bonus!
That mold is so cute. I hope you'll be able to get him soon.
Thank you soo much! I want a doll soo badly but I cant ever justify spending 900 on a doll, my family is poor that's rent or a car.
Luckily you don't need to spend a insane amount of money on a doll.
I personally can't either. That's just not really in my cards either. I hope you can one day buy yourself a doll.
I'm in the same boat
Same my limit is 60 ); and that my birthday money lol.
Try getting one second hand
@@Loony_coony Thank you ^^
Thank you so much for making a video like this! I realy want a doll but Im realy young And playing about 400 - 900 is not my thing at all. So Thank you so much for this video! Much love for you stay focused On this hobby cause Its for sure fun!❤️
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I am happy to hear this video was of use to you and I hope that you will be able to enjoy this awesome hobby as well! ;)
Insta: Nickfan_12 where did you buy yours from??
Yeah me too I'm 15 years old and I just bought one for 80 and one for 135 dollars and I'm sooo happy with them ❤😁
i'm about to receive a Doll Leaves Louis, which - with the faceup, wig, and shipping - costed me ~$272 :)
i absolutely fell in love when i found him, and he is a brilliant alternative to who i was previously saving for (doll chateau Ona, ~$800 w/ faceup)
I have a Resinsoul Mei i got her about 6 years ago and still have her, i think they are very good quality, nothing wrong with Resinsoul!
Hi :)
I wanna thank you for making this video, when I first got into this hobbie years ago I definitely heard a lot of that "good dolls are expensive dolls" and "if you can't save up for one, are you really interested in this hobbie?", both in the international forum as well in the local brazilian forums.
My first two BJDs are from small artists on Instagram and then I got Mei a couple months ago and I am really connecting with her
Resin soul is amazing. I totally understand if you want more from them and all I can say is. Go for it!! 😄😄😄 😉😉😉
your resinsoul boy is absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much.
Could you do something on where to get cheap clothes for them?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes. I can do that for sure. Thank you for opting the idea :D
You are so hitting the nail right on the heads 😉 I totally agree with you!!!
He's one of my favorite things in the world and I've had him for years, I couldn't even imagine selling him
I totally get what you are saving. Since this video was made I bought a bobobie Sprite and he is so precious. I love him to death.
Gonna buy my first bjd , its on the way, its a bit cheap, but its all i can afford right now plus she's gorgeous and i cant wait to see her , i plan on styling her hair and dresses once she arrived 💓 your video really encourage me to go for what i love and think its pretty 😊
Congrats on buying your first BJD! Price doens't make you love a doll more or less. If you think she is gorgeous, that is all that matters.
I just personally want to buy one for my art and posing! But I've adored these dolls since I was little. I can't wait to buy my first one!!
That is a very good idea! I am sure these dolls will make perfect posing references.
I hope you can buy yourself one soon ;)
She's cheap too-I'll be keeping both her and the site in mind ^^
Beautiful dolls by the way! Especially the one on the left-I love his deer antlers and nose.
I am so happy to hear this video was helpful for you. And please don't let anybody tell you, that you need an expensive doll to enjoy the hobby. This is so not true. ;)
The resinsoul mei is adorable, she was my first ever doll I bought and I loved to bit. I did end up selling her and buying her in back in another skintone. ( my first one was purple skinned and I bought a normal skin version for my second.) I still love that mold to bits, even after 13 years in this hobby.
Our first BJD was a resin soul Jian and we love him so much. We're actually planning on buying more from them too
Thank you for the links!
Less that $4 that is really cheap 😱 that is a great find 😄
But I amhappy to hear she brings yoy so much joy.
One thing i hate about the legit bjd sites is there websites are so outdated and don't have a good filtering system.
I have heard grear things about Myou. I have yo admid I have ben looking into one myself they have such cute molds.
My resinsoul boy is a Rong ;)
@@Loony_coony Oh they're awesome Dolls. They hold great poses andstand like a rock. And my tan girl has literally no seam lines and only $25 extra for tan to boot! O.o I jumped at the opportunity and am in love with the tan skin. My other girl is in coffee skin which I also adore. Body version I and III are Double Jointed.
Thanks for telling me. :)
That sound like amazing quality. I can't wait to order one myself
I wanted a bjd since I was 10 and it's been it's been many years and I'm interested again but don't have a lot of money thanks for the video!
I hope you will find a doll thg that is perfect for you 😉
thank you for introducing me to resinsoul. i’m almost afraid to continue the video (i’m at 6:27) because i’m afraid that i’ll find another company i enjoy more. i’ve seen resinsoul in the comments of bjd videos, and i’m still very very new to this whole scene. i’ve known about them for 5 years now but everything was very very confusing so i stayed away. i thought they were a bad company and i wanted to save for either a Smart Doll or a Fairyland Minifee doll- but i think Resinsoul Mei is the one for me ultimately. at least as a beginner doll- though unlike what people say i don’t think i’m going to sell her after i become experienced with the craft.
Your Rong is so squeezably cute!
Thank you so much ♡ glad you like him :)
And you can find fantasydoll at this link ;)

Kyanara thanks. Yes, I do enjoy his company. I am currently crocheting him a little blanket, also a human-sized afghan. I found my next doll, and I hope I can get her before it's too late

Just bought my own doll for 50 She's so cute and I can't wait to get stated on her. I'm not a professional and I'm not rich. I just love cute dolls.
congrats on buying your fist doll! you certainly don't have to be rich to enjoy this hobby.
Quick questions:
* Where can I buy the thing you used to make those dolls' hair? My friend is looking for something similar for a costume
* What's the name of the color of their hair?
I love my Kids Sky Bobo! I'm hoping to get a Resinsoul Song in grey this year ^_^
Ow yes a bobo is very cute as well. I have had the pleasure of seeing one in persone some time ago. And the song is on my wishlist as well. Such a beautiful sculpt with so much potential😄
Can you change the language setting on the site?
Very good recommendations, but the kid sky website, omg. I picked one doll and it was almost the same amount my monthly salary. 😂
That is probably because the currency wasn't right. I had that the first time too.
@@Loony_coony I have another question, do you have to register on the web page (kid sky) to buy a doll, or you can do it without having to register? And how much time it takes to the doll to get to your contry (in case its US or Central America)? Thank you

Try ucanann! They are absolutely beautiful and really good quality and they sell all sorts of varieties of styles and sizes.

Thank you.
@@Loony_coony i understand it, thank you for nice response for my comment I'll subscribe you bc you're nice
Thank you so much. That is so kind of you to say. And thank you for wanting to subscribe. That means a lot. 😊
Is there a website where you can pay in GBP (pounds £) because it’s the only currency I have?? I’m super sad that I can’t get any BJDs in England..
I am afraid I do not know of a site that sell in GBP. I know angelesquedolls.com is situated in the UK. But I am not sure they sell in GBP.
Kyanara Ahhh thank you! Yeah I’ve checked that, guess I’ll just have to experience the excitement through videos haha.
Hi! thank u for ur videos.
Kyanara Awesome!!! Thanks a lot!!
Check out Kuklakit, there’re adult looking doll with good price
I have a question, can you put resin bjds in the sun?
You can put them in the sun if you want too. They won't melt. But they will do what we in the hobby call yellowing. All things made from resin will in time yellow in color but if you put a resin item in the sun, the items will yellow faster then when you keep it out of the sun
@@Loony_coony oh ok thank you for the information ☺️
Guys remember that your own doll you payed for is gonna be in your own home and nobody can tell you shit about where you got it
@kya do you know of any companies that sell mixed race bjd

I take it you were joking about KS dolls...or maybe your idea of cheap runs into the thousands?

Kyanara Cool! Thank you so much. 😄
It is sold in Japanese currency which means that doll is only 99 dollars.
Kyanara thank you so much :)
No problem ;)
I'm so glad I found this.
OMG thanks it will help me a lot cause I'm new I've always been interested in dolls😁😀
Your welcome. I am happy to hear this video was of help to you. Welcome to this hobby ;)
I want a doll just for decor so I’m looking for something cheap but pretty 60 dollars is my limit where should I buy?
I am afraid that there is no company that sells dolls for $60. If you don't mind spending a little bit more resinsoul might be something for you. Their dolls start at around $70.
In modern production technology, cheap maybe is also good enough .
I love your dolls 💕❤️🥰
Thank you so much -blush-
Is the price for the kids sky dolls in Chinese currency?
I am not sure if it is chineese. I am afraid I can't read the official website. 😅 it's not USD, for sure. If you are having trouble with the site and currency, you can visit alicescollections.com, they sell in USD and is in english. They sell kids skye dolls as official agents.
Kyanara oh, ok. Thanks!
Hello can i ask something what if the buyer is from the Philippines? How much would the dolls be in Php
I am afraid that is a hard question for me to answer. It totally depends on which doll you want to purchase. The best advice I can give you is look for a doll you love and then use a currency converter to find out what it costs in your own currency.
You are my favourite you tuber
How did you get your Rong with the boy body?
I didn't. I got him on the girl body and modded the body to me a male one. But if you want him on the male body you can mail resinsoul. They are super helpful and they will swap bodies for you upon request.
How do you order from kids sky?
I orderes my kids sky doll on alicescollections.com. they are an official dealer for kids sky.
I have just bought a doll from aliexpress, it's just great.
Its true that aliexpress dolls are all fake and they don't come from the original designers, but for $ 75...good presents for kids of 7/8yrs.
Resinsoul dolls are only single jointed, no? Mine is and I hate it...
@@Loony_coony Hi! How can you tell if the build is single or double jointed on the site?
It's really hard to tell on their website.
You can visit their body section to look at the bodies more close.

Or shoot them a message if you have any doubts. They have very nice and helpfull people at customer service and they will answer all your questions very quickly.
The links provided either don’t work or are not in English.
The website link is

I hope this helps you on your way :)
Beautiful doll. 😍
I can’t even save up $100 😭
I’m also a jobless child who can’t drive
BUT STILL-
That is a shame, I know how you feel. I could not buy one when I first found out about them. I did have to save up for a looong time to be able to afford one. But it is worth it in the end. Patience is the key. ;) one day your day will come too.
wow, you are so sweet! thank you so much for this video! ❤
#^.^# no problem. Hope it was helpful to you.
Its hard to find black bjd dolls for me
I am sorry to ask. But do you mean black as I the color black, or in the human skincomplection? Resinsoul does have a dark tan complection. That might be something for you?
Kidsky look a LOT like myou dolls
thank you, I already found a beautiful girl and I can afford her!
I bought a doll for $18 she is beautiful and kiddish just like I wanted! Ps.she was from china
Is she made of resin😱
I can’t afford to buy the nice dolls I buy the cheap ones and they are perfectly fine plus I will be 70 this year and I buy them so I can make doll cloths
I’m curious. Does the sites sell legit or recast bjds?
I am not sure wich site you are talking about so I am afraid I can't answer your question.
@@Loony_coony resinsoul.com this one :)
Resinsoul.com is 100 % not a recaster. It's an original company. 😉
Resinsoul is 💞💞💞💞💞💞💟
I love your little cat boy!!!!
Thank you so much. And I agree. Resinsoul is just that indeed 😉
Love ❤️ you’re videos
Very useful TY
