IMHO I am loving Myou, I have 3 so far, the resin is super silky smooth, no seamlines and they pose nicely. Only negative thing about them, I found when I bought full sets, the wigs were crispy and thin and in some cases didn't fit the dolls very well but for the doll itself, the company face up, the quality of the resin and posablity I've really enjoyed them. Wait time from there to theUK was 4 to 5 months.
Welp. I've gone and done it. The order for my first boy ResinSoul Yi will be here in early February. I *CANNOT* wait to get him and make clothes for him :D Thank you so much :)

I'm struggling to figure out how to go about getting (or making a doll myself 😖 which I have no experience in. I'm not a doll person but I just had this idea of a doll I would absolutely love sitting on my book shelf surveying his domain. I love the idea of him so much and thought surely someone ELSE had this idea and has made one but surprisingly I've seen next to nothing. What I'm talking about is a ball joint doll with really realistic features similar to what you have but he's a harleyquinn jester with a red and purple color theme. Maybe a black jacket or something to go with his black raven locks. I also want his eyes to be mismatched with one red eye and purple eye to go with his outfit. I even thought of naming him Tick-Tock. Personality wise I think he'd ACT like a proper gentleman despite being dressed as a jester but he'd probably sass you. Example: I'm so terrible at bagging I'd never get hired anywhere! Tick-Tock: Don't despair my lady~ I hear there REALLY desperate for workers at that grocery store down the road~ 😊 Me:....*mutters* dolls are your friends my as-! Honestly though I'm shocked by the lack of jester outfits! Do you know where I could possibly pay someone to custom make one for me? Also worried I'll get the dolls size and everything wrong. 😑

@@lindabonilla6173 I had to ask a friend for you that is knowledgeable about this and they said to check ebay. Search BJD and what ever scale you are looking for, like this without the quotes"1/4 BJD". Avoid recasts that try to use the actual name of the originals since they are trying to scam and will cost more. Look for generic listings where the seller has many different types of dolls but doesn't use actual company names. As long as you are using paypal and the seller offers refunds you will be fine. Just make sure they have good feedback and have been around a while.

RE: inexpensive dolls. Would you suggest getting a "cheap" one to practice faceups on? Or just go with something like regular Barbies from target to practice on?

You can totally find inexpensive heads that are created specifically for faceup practice, but you can also learn by just practicing painting in general (even digital painting helps!). The more heads you have to practice on, the easier you'll find you gain the skill, so having a practice head or two along with the rest of your collection isn't a bad idea :D

so long as its not a recast, often time its due to the resin being poorer quality and more fragile. (that and it hurts the companies)

Yep! Most dolls come without scratches, though you may see some slight imperfections since they are hand-made items. Hope that helps! :)

i uhm, i cant find cheap ones that are under a 100 euros (i live in europe so ye) but my teacher at school has 3D printers for a lesson and we can choose whatever we want, so i will print a BJD out, cuz yeee why not XD, but this vid is right tho
@@becky7603 i know, i wont buy a recast,i would either make one myself, or print one out, (modeling it myself online ofc) thats for me a cheaper method, since i am 15 , i dont have a lot of money, so yeah..
@@becky7603 They aren't illegal in US and not illegal in most countries. If you buy on ebay from a seller that isn't trying to pass it off as authentic using the actual artists name then how would you even know its a recast. Sure if you have a bunch of them and you are trying to pass them off a authentic to sell then you could probably get in some trouble and have to pay the people back. But if you are buying one or two from ebay that aren't labeled as authentic you will be fine at least in the US. And a lot of plastic is toxic. Even the tires on your car are toxic. And many of the originals do contain bisphenol A so technically they are toxic. If its a resin recast it will be just as safe as any other resin original. May of the recasts on ebay are perfectly fine and just about as good of quality as the original minus the paint job. Anybody who cant afford an original shouldn't feel bad about getting a recast. The artist wont be loosing money from you because you don't have the money for the original in the first place. Why buy a used doll that could come from a smokers home or a home with cats and dogs when you can get a brand new recast. And if you don't like the recast many of the sellers on ebay offer a refund. Many of the painters on the internet will gladly paint your recast even if they don't publicly say it. If your dream is to have a 3000.00 doll and you know you will never be able to afford it, you shouldn't feel bad about taking the cheaper route. Many of the people on the doll forums will want you to feel bad and that's mostly out of jealousy or some other negative kind of emotion. People shouldn't feel bad for getting a doll for 150.00 and a face up and body blush for 100.00. I know 250.00 is still a lot for a doll and still out of reach for many but its alot less that 3k to 5k. And there's no doubt that you wold love it just as much.
