-Biuld not Brought Type R- i am shocked cadillac decided to put 4 wheel steering in the CT6 as well, im glad they have more freedom now as they have moved away from GM.
-Biuld not Brought Type R- im sure it will do well, though personally i dont think its quite S class level, now with that said a S class will top out at 160K while a CT6 will top out at 88K so there is that, but really what you're getting is a full sized luxury sedan with every single option / feature at a lower price than a non-optioned S class lol.
+justin bouche yeah it blows everyone of them out the water in terms of what your getting for your money: an actual drivers car that's fun and can be comfortable when you need it to be while still a fraction of the price it's German rivals , I mean even when the ATSV dropped it had features that the 80k BMW didn't like leather seats, a back up camera, heated steering wheel etc, and all around a bang for Buck sports sedan and even the 16' camaro had leather seats standard (correct me if I'm wrong) Cadillac really is bringing out the true M cars of the past in American form only at a fraction of the price and better imo. BMW even use artificial speaker systems to try and glorify the I6 and make the M4 better, used electric steering and made it all around feel like a cheap car for what your getting for your money , i just hope consumers can see that Cadillac has changed and that they don't only appeal to older buyers anymore and their maturing and really taking out their German rivals one by one slowly lol
Glad to see Cadillac getting back to its roots. What was once a Grandpa car looks like it will be appropriate for the younger and older alike. It’s on my list!
you are so professional, knowledgable, and classy. I sincerely appreciate your reviews, insight and approach in your vids my man. I haven't watched ONE of your videos that I haven't flat out loved. DON'T CHANGE A THING PLEASE!! - A loyal lifer.
I just test drove this at the Chicago auto show and I was absolutely astonished at how much I liked this car. A full test drive in definitely in order.
it's funny how people still buy bmws all the time ,even though there ridiculously over priced and there dashboards and gages havnt changed since the mid 80's. looked at a BMW 3 series 320i . I know it's the lower one but it's 42,000 and has a 180 hp turbo 4 and no chrome around the window trim. Ridiculous
Another great review, keep it up!! Your reviews are down to earth, real, yet still descriptive. The ones in car mags are often too flowery,/artsy and don't convey the same information that yours do.
I think Cadillac has a winner here.for the price the exterior is gorgeous, and the interior is the best interior GM has probably ever made. the engineering under the sheet metal is also something we haven't seen from the competitors. even the AWD system is great. the dark interior compliments the layout very well. if I had the money Id go for a mid level 3.6 in white with all black interior :)
The Cadillac CT7/8/9 programs are NOT scrapped, they are delayed. The XT (or crossover touring) 4/6/7 have been fast tracked instead along with their new Twin Turbo 4 Liter 8 cylinder. I saw your response to a comment below. This is NOT the flagship Cadillac. It's simply the biggest Cadillac (sedan).
I want it....and am gonna get it. Had my car in the dealer for repairs and he rolls out this big black beautiful CT6 as a loaner. Now they don’t use these as loaners but I think he just wanted to impress me and maybe get me to trade my very rare 2012 fully loaded CTS 4 Wagon. Not gonna happen. BUT....I loved driving the CT6. People were so impressed by it. It has that “very successful” look about it.....which I did not like so much since I am more understated in my ways. Any way...the car was super excellent. I am talking about the 2020 CT6 since I am only just watching this video now in 2020. I love Cadillac. Keep up the good work. I have no interest in giving the Germans all my money.
Watch this guy a lot lately. Very informative and professional videos. Great camera angles and nice choice of music. But his voice.....I know, I know, had to say it though...club me. Seriously though, two thumbs up man.
I don't understand why the Feds wouldn't wanna approve of that rear camera feed feature. It's way better than the standard mirror. I hope other OEMs will copy it.
That's just another example of Government busybodies sticking their nose and meddling in private business which they have no right to do. That's the exact thing that stifles innovative ingenuity and kills free enterprise. If I were GM I would have grown a pair and man up and told the feds to back off and to go fuck themselves and keep their commie asses out of my business.
oh hey look a bmw 7 series that actually drives like a bmw 7 series should too bad it has the cadillac badge and JUST because of the badge, it'll sell poorly
omfg your comment is so accurate too it's sad due to ignorant biggotry people turn this car down because of it's badge.. the same can be said about an ATSV that really is 10 miles ahead of a BMW M4, and you get more car for your money.
You might find some great details in the owners manual... the touch pad has multi finger gestures like a Mac. Its much more capable than what it first appears to be, and in fact might leap frog the "knob" concept, which is now 15 year old technology.
It forces you to take your eyes off the road unfortunately. I still love how it looks and how it works. I own a 2015 ats myself but it definitely makes you take your eyes off the road compared to the 328 that I had prior to it.
I seen this version ct6 2016 on the road. Its prettier than you think. I own a 2014 CTS. Although, I don't agree with the 3rd brake light being in the rear window, I prefer it on the trunk, I am highly considering upgrading to this version! It a bigger cts in my eyes.
While I do prefer a sporty car and its astonishing that it handles like it does, a full size sedan doesn't need to be sporty. I think it would be wise to offer a more comfort oriented chassis tuning since that's what someone coming from an S-Class would expect and probably prefer.
Cadillac has been working on a new 4.0TT V8 for 3 years so it's possible... of course that engine was meant to go in the CT8 flagship which I think may have been cancelled.
Another great review. Thanks man! I have a 2015 CTS and I love it but the exhilaration on your face on this video makes me look forward to my next car. Question for you - how are you capturing sound in the interior? It sounds good, little background noise.
Such a shame that GM abandoned the CT6 . . . if they had resolved the model's transmission nightmares and buildquality issues, it could have continued and succeeded as their flagship sedan.
I really like what Volvo has done with the new S90. Scooped in front grill, (retro, yet a great departure from the rest of the automakers), and the controversial back end of the car, which I think is gorgeous, despite the comparative criticism of other model cars. You must see it in person before you judge from a video or pictures. Plus we have the safety of the Volvo (safest car there is) and a totally re-engineered interior which is simplistic yet utterly luxurious. Volvo hit a Grand Slam. Congrats Volvo on two steps up in the luxury from what we are used to from Volvo, yet maximized safety.

John de Nysschen, CEO of Cadillac, wanted to make this clear because CT8 or CT9 is coming up in near future and that would be the real flagship sedan for the brand. Only flagship vehicle in current Cadillac line up is the Escalade
+Redline Reviews Neither Cadillac nor GM confirmed that the CT8 project has been scrapped. It may have been pushed back by a couple of years, but, they did not scrap plans for it. Cadillac has 11 new vehicle projects under way, and the CT8 will be one of them.
I talked to a few people within GM and I can tell you there is still a CT8 coming. I got this info from a dealer owner and a Cadillac marketing rep just about a month ago. The car has been pushed back a year or so but its absolutely not cancelled.
Loving your Reviews Sofyan, enjoyable & Informative. Also Love your enthusiasm in Regards to this Model. Being an Aussie & Knowing Andrew Smith plus multiple other Aussies are Heavily Involved in GM Products, I Totally understand the Driver Enjoyment these Products are Obtaining. I honestly have to say your Reviews are the Best I have Watched. Good Work Mate. :-)
You do fantastic reviews. Can you please get your hands on one of those new 2017 Ford Fusion Sports. With 300+ hp and all wheel drive I cant wait to see how good it is.
Holy moley. im lmfao you jus got done saying Cadillac has gotten away from your grandfathers Cadillac the wreath is gone n then you say HOLY MOLEY HOLY CRAP . as your speeding through country side . Also if your a cadi owner Gas dont mean a dam thing . Great review 54grand is fine . Its feb 2022 so w/40,000 miles im expecting this 7 yr old vehicle. Should be around 24 grand in great condition . thanks again hope i can find one w/white exterior & red Interior
Vehicle Virgins said that the door handles felt cheap because they were made of flimsy plastic and that the engine sounded like that of a minivan when he matted it on the one he had, but then again he was comparing it to his Mercedes S550.
You should Definitely do the Dodge Charger, and Challenger Scatpack 392, or at least the R/T Road&Track Version. The Chrysler 300 would be another good one, so would the New Focus RS if you haven't already. The Chevy SS Holden would be another great review if you can find one, those are hard to track down. Or the New Impala.
Exterior: what a beautiful machine. Sleek, excellent proportions, regal presence. It looks like the kind of car that makes you want to wear nicer clothes. Interior: the overall layout is... Fine. It's not stunning like the exterior. My biggest issue is with the font and colors of the instrument gauge and CUE display. It doesn't read as luxury at all, at least on camera. Hopeful that there are alternative layouts that don't remind me of an arcade game? The font looks like they borrowed it from a gas station ATM. Small but significant details, and in this class, it's all about the details.
Just got a 2018 model today. Didnt floor it. Just drove it home like a grandpa. Hahaha completely in love
Hows the ride quality and those seats????
The good o'll grandpas Cadillac!
I absolutely love this car. Cadillac has been killing it lately. That interior is beautiful! I LOVE the black/cinnamon and carbon fiber!
I've never see sofyan so excited and impressed with any other car..must be really great!
me too
Yup
What the Jaguar review. He might have liked that better, I know he definitely loved the exhaust sound.
+jmen8888 I love the modern Jaguar exhaust sounds, that being said, they have a ways to go until the whole car stacks up to this.
dee k ikr
I had no interest in Cadillac until my son bought a CTS. After driving that, I bought myself an ATS Premium with the 3.6 AWD. Never going back.
What are you driving these days ?
@@Natethegreat200c got a Lincoln MKZ hybrid for long commute. But still have the Caddy, 225k miles and drives like new.
@@hydrazi LOVE THAT!!!!! My boyfriend and I are supposed to be getting a MKZ hybrid by the end of this year. How do you like it ??
this thing is straight up amazing, well done to Cadillac on the interior and the crazy light weighting, 3600 lbs base weight is crazy.
and the 4 wheel steering is amazing too didn't expect that from Cadillac thier finally growing out of it.
-Biuld not Brought Type R- i am shocked cadillac decided to put 4 wheel steering in the CT6 as well, im glad they have more freedom now as they have moved away from GM.
+justin bouche yeah, thier doing very well with their line up at the moment, I can't wait to see some comparisons with its German rivals.
-Biuld not Brought Type R- im sure it will do well, though personally i dont think its quite S class level, now with that said a S class will top out at 160K while a CT6 will top out at 88K so there is that, but really what you're getting is a full sized luxury sedan with every single option / feature at a lower price than a non-optioned S class lol.

cadillac and chevy are underated as fuck
yea
You mean overrated
GoodDay underrated
+Marthalamule Mcleish I agree with you
Benjamin Hatchett thanks
You can tell it drives amazingly.
Glad to see Cadillac getting back to its roots. What was once a Grandpa car looks like it will be appropriate for the younger and older alike. It’s on my list!
Cadillac really is back in the game.
Lincoln is really back, in my opinion.
Active ride control is why it handles and rides so well, good job Caddy.
you are so professional, knowledgable, and classy. I sincerely appreciate your reviews, insight and approach in your vids my man. I haven't watched ONE of your videos that I haven't flat out loved. DON'T CHANGE A THING PLEASE!! - A loyal lifer.
Matthew Gottung I agree.
If Sofyan is impressed, this vehicle must be THAT DAMN GOOD.
Excellent review Sofyan!
I just test drove this at the Chicago auto show and I was absolutely astonished at how much I liked this car. A full test drive in definitely in order.
I can't get enough of that one of these cars back in the day really reminds me reminds me the time when they first came out
if I was 10 years older, i had the budget and i didn't care about the depreciation of these cars, I would totally get it, 100%, I love GM cars
I've watched your reviews for a minute now and I am a big fan.....and to hear "you" say "Holy Crap" the way you did lets me know Cadillac is back!
I adore that car for the first time to be the best car in the history in the making
This ct6 and the cts represents this brand really well. They both look unique and gorgeous.
I don't like cars in white most the time but this caddy looks pretty sharp in white.
It has a very modern, clean, subtle design...that's why it looks good in white.
Its pearl white
I've had a BMW, Mercedes, Acura, and Cadillac CTS. This will be my next car, no doubt. It's beautiful.
Thigh extension is power adjustable in cue just FYI
Love the new Cadillacs!
the only time I seen you this happy is when you was driving the Chevy camero ss lol
yeah

Plus no backup camera no real leather bluetooth etc. BMW makes you pay extra for every little thing while other luxury manufactures come standard in.
Man Cadillac did a GREAT job on this car, I mean for this Omega platform in general.
For a split second I seriously thought Sofyan was about to plow into that Jeep.

The 1-2 shift is a nearly perfect major 3rd and the 2-3 shift is a nearly perfect perfect 4th, making them even more pleasant to hear.
I have an ATS 2.0t and it drives like a masterpiece. Smooth and sporty so I can only imagine how this car handles 🔥
This thing is beautiful...well done Cadillac!

This is the nicest car money can buy. IMO Cadillac IS the Standard of the World. Lincolns, BMWs, LEXUS, Mercedes are nice, but Cadillac is mean!!!
Love the color of the seats!!!! Can’t find one like this
You can tell be really enjoys driving the car. I would love to have one. Maybe one day.
Holy shmokes!!! I love your reactions. Honest unfiltered.
my next car. Love it, thanks!
great looking car.... and that sound !!! impressive package for the buck.....
Great review - glad you're sticking with the longer format
The competition is FIERCE! I can't wait for their "real" flagship!
Man this is what Cadillac should be!!!
Impressive. Cadillac has come along way from the Devilles I owned back in the '70s.
Hey DeVille is awesome
Now that was a great review of the 2016 love that car love all the good things you had to say about it I can't wait to get my hands on it
damm this is a nice car wow can you plz get your hands on the Chrysler Pacifica van 2017 limited edition

The new 7 series drives great, but again that's not what the buyers care about.
It sells like shit because of the shit caddy did before. They still don't have respect.
They need to hire bird man as CEO. People need to start to repec Cadillac.
Infiniti and Lincoln are well behind the competition LOL
You might find some great details in the owners manual... the touch pad has multi finger gestures like a Mac. Its much more capable than what it first appears to be, and in fact might leap frog the "knob" concept, which is now 15 year old technology.
Do you feel that the CT6 with the 3.6 V6 would feel just as fast!
cue system is great in 2014 models and up . it's responsive and great why does everyone bash on it
It forces you to take your eyes off the road unfortunately. I still love how it looks and how it works. I own a 2015 ats myself but it definitely makes you take your eyes off the road compared to the 328 that I had prior to it.

Its great having AWD for performance too because if you need to pull out in traffic its much safer than spinning out and not moving.
Not to be rude but your voice sounds like Leonard from the big bang theory show.
Bitemyshinny Metalass cause they're both gay
Do you know if this car had any significant problems over the years????Great review my man...
Wow didn't expect that reaction, imagine how good the CT6-V will be if there ever is one
Cadillac has been working on a new 4.0TT V8 for 3 years so it's possible... of course that engine was meant to go in the CT8 flagship which I think may have been cancelled.
MrCarGuy20 Yeah it's reportedly been canceled, real shame!
Love that 2 tone interior w the CFiber accents.
you have a fan for life.

Driving behind another jeep Sofyan? You know a vehicle is fast when Sofyan starts laughing. He really loves this car
Best part of video was you enjoying thee acceleration. Gm.mixes cheap parts with good parts
looks like they cane to take over The germans with body looks looks really good .
Such a shame that GM abandoned the CT6 . . . if they had resolved the model's transmission nightmares and buildquality issues, it could have continued and succeeded as their flagship sedan.
Agree. (and even afer 4 years, this Redline Review is the most thorough on RUclips.) Nice work.
Wait till the CT6-V is released...4.2TT
is that a WRX I see in the background? Future review?
Yup! That review will go up next week! ;)
Great, looking forward to it!
I see that you use the word "flagship" quite often in this video, but Cadillac marketing team aviods to mention that this is their flagship model, instead they just call this top of the range model in the sedan line. John de Nysschen, CEO of Cadillac, wanted to make this clear because CT8 or CT9 is coming up in near future and that would be the real flagship sedan for the brand. There was a CT8 planned, but that has been scrapped for now as Cadillac wants to focus all their attention on the crossover market.

Foot flat down mid turn this guy must be a professional driver.
I have been driving mine since 16 and it still turns heads.
There's alot of similarities compared to my 16 XTS Vsport Premium. Some things I like better, some not so much. The exterior is phenomenal.
That is one expensive rear view mirror.
Amazing review love this car and love your video style. Really really good
Awesome review love the mirror trick and the car is beautiful 👍🏾
You do fantastic reviews. Can you please get your hands on one of those new 2017 Ford Fusion Sports. With 300+ hp and all wheel drive I cant wait to see how good it is.
Love it...hopefully will be my next Cadillac
I heard you trying to censor a couple words. "Holy sh-- mokes!"
Holy moley. im lmfao you jus got done saying Cadillac has gotten away from your grandfathers Cadillac the wreath is gone n then you say HOLY MOLEY HOLY CRAP . as your speeding through country side . Great review. I am excited to say a Cadillac sedan that seems to out drive the Euro compeititors. Wow. It must be 2016!
I think I'll switch to this Cadillac
Vehicle Virgins said that the door handles felt cheap because they were made of flimsy plastic and that the engine sounded like that of a minivan when he matted it on the one he had, but then again he was comparing it to his Mercedes S550.

It’s too bad that Cadillac is discontinuing the ct6 in 2019. It seems no one is buying them.
notification club where you at?!
man you fast
I try. haha
Hi
7 years later
Does anyone have this car as the Twin Turbo? How has it held up? Thanks!
I don't know which one is sexier. The car or the driver.
probably the only vehicle I like from Cadillac....but that price isn't too bad...
but that cheap plastic is killing me..
I like this one better than the 2019 CT6 3.0 TT Model

Great review... I'm curious about the 0-60 times. You should add real world 0-60 tests to your videos. That's quite pertinent info
15:15 look the size of the trunk. You can put three bodies in there
I am impressed with car's interior design. Is this V6 so torque only on paper or is in real life so strong?
How does it compare in size to the Lincoln Continental?
