My 2005 Silverado is the base model single cab with the cd and cassette player. I want to upgrade to an aftermarket system with Bluetooth and backup cameras. And then lose the ugly radio antenna. I subscribe to a simple radio app on my iPhone 13 that lets me listen to almost every station in America. But the truck’s radio has no auxiliary plug-in or Bluetooth. Will doing this wear out any phone’s battery too fast? Or is there a time limit for any phone’s personal hotspot usage?
I don't think you can with there being a bunch of modules and different wiring for it. However, I do believe that the radio's out of the 2013-2017 traverse's will work. The connectors look the exact same and wiring descriptions match up with both radios from the 2011 silverado to a 2015 traverse. The only problem with it would be that the bezels would be very close to fitting. Also, the top two corners would have a gap. If you aren't too worried about that then all you would have to do is get the radio programmed to your VIN.
PHONE VOL HAS TO BE AT 50 PERCENT OR LESS....THEN TURN UP MANUAL RADIO VOL= NO DISTORTION. I LOVE THE UNIT
Can you use the steering wheel prompt button to make calls and answer Bluetooth? 2:11

Where did you get your black steering wheel bow tie
Great video, thanks! How has it been holding up for you? Still going strong? Also love the "emergency fireball".
It's still going strong
@@heldtheflashlightfordad6728 How is the sound quality compared to the FM or Aux transmitter?
@@jus1aj way way better you don’t have the obvious static from having to have a radio station
@@jus1aj much better
What I'm wondering is do you think I could put a 2018/20 newer model head unit into a 2012?

I’ve had it for a few months but mine just likes to disconnect at random times very frequently. Anyone else?
