My Top 5 issues with this model: 1) The Chevy Shake: This is a frame design flaw. I've been blessed with my 2011 6.2L 4x4. Had it for 11 years and only had to have fuel pump replaced, and two other things...definitely have myself a diamond in the ruff
Let's not forget the oil pressure sensor as well as the door lock/window switches. Overall great trucks, despite a few smaller issues. I had an 08' that saved my life (head-on into a semi truck during a Milwaukee ice storm.) Only part of the truck that wasn't totaled was the drivers seat. Now driving a 13' Silverado and love is just as much.
What are symptoms of a bad oil pressure sensor? I have an 09 Silverado 5.3...makes a small knocking sound when I first start it for about a minute then goes away, and sometimes when I want to accelerate it will kind of hesitate. Oil pressure gauge reads over 40 psi on startup, then fluctuates in the 30s while I drive. I thought that seemed kind of high. Thank you.
I deleted the DOD on my 07 Sierra 5.3. (Cam, lifters, oil pump, driver's side valve cover, ecu tune, and a few tweaks). What a difference! Gained torque and power throughout the rpm range plus better mileage.
For everyone, the high oil consumption is actually by design. It’s the Automatic Fuel Management AFM. When the AFM shuts off the 4 cylinders, it squirts a little extra oil into those valves to keep them lubricated. When they start back up, that oil is burnt. I had that problem along with carbon buildup on those four spark plugs from the extra oil. I got an AFM disabler, with keeps it in V8 and it fixed those problems. I lost a mile or two in gas mileage, but the truck runs so much smoother and the power is instantaneous on acceleration.
I thought for sure he’d bring up the horrible rust issues with these trucks. It’s not mechanical but definitely an issue if you live up north. Great video!
He is right about the steering position sensor. I hit a nasty hole in the road and took my truck (2010 Silverado LS) to an independent shop to get it aligned. After driving for about 10 mins back home, I got the annoying orange triangle for the Stabilitrak system. Took it back and after several attempts, they could not figure it out and credit me back the alignment and diagnostic cost. I went to the dealer and they said it was the steering position sensor. OK but one big problem. GM does not make the 6 pin sensor for the 2nd gen anymore; they only make the 8 pin for the 3rd gen and up. I mentioned that the steering wheel was not at the 12 o'clock position when driving straight. They aligned it and got the steering wheel back. No more annoying orange triangle. If anyone has this problem make sure your steering wheel is at the 12 o'clock position when driving straight and you have a good alignment done before checking for any other causes that make the Service Stabilitrak light come on.
I love your tips . My newest is a 2000 . I work for walmart and have done car work since I could read a wrench size helping my dad . So I love these info classes cause I have coworker's always asking me questions
Mine I replaced the ecm, sway bars, shocks struts, thermostat and at 126,000 10 and a half years later,a little noise from the transmission but runs perfect
My 2011 has had both the brake light switch and throttle position sensor problems. That being said, those 2 sensors cost me under $50. She's almost 10 years old and those are the only problems she has ever given me.
Shoot my 2007.5 original new body is still running like a top I’ve had to replace basically every one of these problems except the door handles but she’s still good to go
2009 5.3 4x4 Ext cab LTZ with 160,000 miles and I haven't had one of these issues. Issues I did have: Evap system, oil censor, tow haul wire in shifter and rotted out bed.
Notice you didn't mention the evap system or Motor mount issues that are pretty common on that truck. Well at least in my 09 lol everything was pretty spot on
excellent video! I've a Cheyenne 2013, the problems that i had; 1) it eats a lot of engine oil, like half a quart every month. 2) I've replace the oil pressure switch. 3) It has a P0121 (without power reduction) related to throttle body & every time i clean it (taking care of not opening obturator) the CEL goes away but the idle stays high during days even weeks while relearn procedure. a couple of moths later, P0121 always comes back. 4) Some days ago started to hear whine noise while desaccelerating, i check the diff & pinion seal was leaking, while replacing it, the 32mm pinion nut came out by hand, so i couldn't torque back to 14 in/pound the preload, my torque wrench don't measure until 10 ft/pound & a couple of hours driving the whine sound came back, so i think the bearing preload is wrong. • Instead of those problems, truck has been running good. excellent Video as always, Cheers from Cancún!
You need to get that cheyenne to a shop and have that rear end serviced or do it right yourself. Wrong bearing preload on that nut will shorten the life of that rear end
thanks @@prestondyer124, Yes, right now truck is out of service, I'm thinking in buy a "crush Sleeve eliminator" it takes more measurements & adjustment with shimmings to adjust the preload & blacklash, but once done, it won't mess up preload, what kit claims... cheers from Cancún!
Disable the cylinder deactivation and you'll probably never have problems with the lifters,or oil consumption issues. There's chips that plug directly into your OBD2 port that achieve this with no modifications.Believe it or not, you'll probably get better mpg if your truck is running on all cylinders.
Well after owning 3 Silverado Trucks of this generation I had none of the problems you mentioned. Here's what I encountered. Wheel bearings constantly going, middle leaf springs which GM had a recall bulletin, calipers seized if brake pad linings get below 40%, electrical issues of various complexity. I owned 5.3 trucks and current one has 390,000 kms.I put about 50,000 a year on them.
Water leaks are another issue, especially around the third brake light and the top right of the passanger and driver's side weatherstripping (a plastic pin that goes in a hole can be the culprit).
You read my mind!!! I've owned several gmc sierra's on on my second 2012 right now. Only reason being the wife got in an accident and it got totalled. 😢 that thing was mint too. So I bought another one yesterday for $5000.00 you can eat off the frame and it has a flow master dual exhaust to boot. I love the trucks and their all I buy.
Very interesting. I bought a afm disabler for my 2010 sierra. Actually gained mpgs. Very good truck. Easy to work on. Worried about replacing exhaust manifold gaskets. I know i have a few bolts with heads busted off lol. I also pur my rear fender wells twice a year and they are in great shape. Get that car wash sprayer up there and hit it till the water runs clear.
You forgot the armrest on drivers door panel! Cheaply done...it breaks too. Mine has been busted for a long time now. Wish someone made a kit for just the armrest without me having to buy whole door panel!
My dad's 2012 Sierra got new rings at around 78k because the rings were stuck in the pistons. The cylinder deactivation on those suck. You should run them hard every once and a while ore get a range bypass plugin
My 11 sierra has/had oil issues till I disabled afm, replaced drivers side valve cover, bypass on oil pan and replaced the cracked oil sump o-ring and bully dog tune. Trucks motor is good now
I had an 03 Silverado with 185,000 miles on it and traded it on a 07 Silverado and now have 160,000 miles on it. Never had any of the problems you listed. I did put it a water pump on the 03 around 160,000 and around 40,000 I had a problem with the encoder motor on the 4 wheel drive system. Couple ball joints replaced on both pickups. I just did have to replace my main fuse panel under the hood on my 07. So if you drive one of these and it just shuts off make sure you check that out before spending money on a fuel pump like my dealer said was bad.
I really appreciate the professional videos you guy put out, especially the stability of the camera shots. It's really hard to see what the person is trying to show you when is camera is bouncing all over the place, The only suggestion I would have is to use laser pointers to indicate the specific component you are trying to illustrate. Given how tight engine compartments are these days, and well as under the dash, it's really, really had to see what your trying to show us when you hand blocks our view from seeing what you are doing.

Most of my issues have came from the lower portion, my brakes squeal loudly even though I just replaced them, and my tire pressure sensors of course this all started when I got new wheels and tires
I got a 08 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax and with 442000 miles it is still running strong besides the fact that it leaks steering fluid and it has a decent amount of rust. My 11 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax has a problem with air in the coolant lines and it's leaking steering fluid.
We have 3 in our municipality fleet, we haven’t had any issues yet with throttle bodies or the brake switches, inside door handles yes and I used a Dorman kit for that, the steering angle sensors yes,and the blower motor and resistor block and connector has melted on all the trucks around 80,000 miles but our trucks have a ton of running hours with ac on sitting . Also these trucks have all cracked the transmission dipstick tube just above the mounting tab above the trans mounting bolt. The lower steering shafts seize up here in the salt belt just like the 01-07 classics. We’ve also had a few front brake pull issues and the steel 18” base rims that come on the 10,700 GVWR 1 ton single wheel trucks bend very easily.Weve had several now..... The brake line materials are way better than the 01-07 classics however the trans cooler lines and oil cooler lines are no better trans lines are rusting out and oil cooler lines are leaking at the fittings ....
The steering wheel position sensor can be changed without removing the steering column completely. I have done it just have to use care and take your time.
I have an 08 Silverado LT. I bought a year ago and it had 140K on it. The previous owner took very good care of this truck and so far, the maintenance that’s been done is normal wear and tear given the age of the truck. The only thing I’ve done outside of normal maintenance is that I purchased an AFM disabler to stop the engine from shifting back and forth from 4 cyl to 8 cyl. That $200 purchase made all the difference in the world. This truck drives like a dream. I’ve only put 6K miles on this truck because I van pool to work plus I have another car. So at this rate I expect it will last me for a long time.
I have a 2011 Sierra and the drivers door window switch is funky and every time you turn the truck on or put it in park it says low washer fluid lol. But great truck
Good video I have 2008 Chevy Silverado with 222400 miles haven’t had those issues but my cruise control stop working years ago he didn’t talk about the rear wheel arch’s that’s rust out replaced mine this summer😊 or the drivers door power lock not working .or the oil tube pickup oring on the 5.3 v8 and the drivers side motor mount ...otherwise that a good video and a great truck I love mine ..
Love my 08 HD too. I’ve had all the problems you have except the wheel wells rusting out b/c I live In the south haha & the broken motor mount. Love the hell out of my truck though, it’s been a good one!
08 constantly breaking rear leaf springs. I'm on my 6th or 7th replacement spring even after beefing them up with an extra leaf. My heaviest load is an ATV which weighs 350 lbs. Next complaint is the aenemic 4wd indicator knob hidden discretely behind the steering wheel. I can't count how many times I've pulled in my driveway at home to discover I'm still in AWD or 4wd because I didn't notice the pin-prick of a light was still on.
Also in my case on my 09, the brake light switch was bad and it didn’t want to come out of park. Found out that the brake lights only came on when you barely touched the pedal. Replaced the brake light switch and they work fine and comes out of park fine
In 2009, check that brake light switch before tearing into the steering wheel to fix cruise control !! A two vs 150 buck investment plus your replacing parts that are NOT BROKEN !
Heard loud clank noise after accelerating from stop and would stutter forward at 150k miles on 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 engine light came on. Towed it to mechanic shop said it was the 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder system that caused it and it’s common on engine like that from Chevy so option would be to open it up see what’s damaged or buy all new engine what would be average cost of something like this . And your best guess to what caused loud metal clank and jerking from stop to accelerating .
2010 Silverado...New 02 sensors, MAF, rack and pinion, rear main seal, I don't remember the part name but, the starter stayed energized/running, even with keys in my hands (shut if off in drive), transmission cooling lines, new front rotors and the paint comes off to bare metal (bad primer ?). All that was when the truck was between 4 months and 9 years old ( rack and pinion and rear main seal was covered).
I have a 2010 Silverado WT with 227xxx miles, Ok so I’ve had to replace my inner drivers door handle, and my passenger door outer handle don’t work , my steering rack mounting tabs broke so I replaced the rack, and I recently changed out the front wheel hubs and did a complete brake job including rear wheel brake cylinders and front calipers, and I have had to change the thermostat 3 times because they keep sticking shut, I bought this truck with under 20xxx miles on it so I’ll say it’s been a damn good truck
The 2011 to 2014s are the best years, Chevy updated all the service bulletins. Just change your oil on time and plug in a Range Technology v4 delete dongle. Change your transmission fluid every 30k with a new filter and seal. Boom done truck will last 400k.
Truth, but instead of the silly range device get an actual tune on the truck and get the AFM disabled that way as well as firm up and change shift points, and throttle sensitivity. I hated the way my truck drove before that. Now I love it, it performs and drives much better after the black bear tune even though I did give up some mpg. 122k miles so far on my 2012 1500 and it’s needed nothing. Bought it with 74k miles and changed every fluid, leveled it and better shocks, tires, and LED lights and it’s everything I need. Well everything except it’s got the stupid 3.08 gears in it, but those are getting swapped out.
@@chevyon37s that’s exactly what I did. I bought the AFM disabler and that was a game changer for my 08 Silverado which had 140K on it when I bought it a year ago. The other maintenance has been normal wear and tear to be expected for a 13 year-old truck. Since I have another vehicle and I van pool to work, I’m only averaging about 6000 miles a year so at this rate, I expect this truck to last me a long time as long as I continue to keep it serviced at the proper intervals.
My 2007 had the reduced engine power problem, acted like it was on 1 cylinder. I just disconnected battery terminal and boom, good to go. I put like 220,000 miles on it, still started and ran great. I ended up selling it for 500.00 cheap because so much rust from rear frame, bed, rocker panels. And it had an oil leak. But I was dumb to sell it that cheap. More to it tho. Anyways, I loved test truck. Bought it brand new in 07, sold it in 2019. I just now went and bought A 2008 1500 ltz. I hope it's as good as my 2007 wt was.
One thing missing that I've heard about these models is the audio system is a little cheap so the speakers or radio will short out after about a year. Personally my front door speakers come on and off time to time. Rn only my driver door isnt working
I hear you I bought my 08 Silverado and no Bose system because it was not an LTZ so neither of my front door speakers worked only my rear door ones and the front pillar tweeters worked and I said out with the shitty and saved up and just replaced the entire system completely
Same with my 08 Silverado LS both front door and back driver door speakers go on an off but I found out after I bought my truck that one of the doors was halfway full with water sounded like a water bottle was in my door
I have that same color its a 08 z71 lt love my truck zero problems over the years and it's has 250k on it still going strong rust was my only problem just switched the bed
I've already replaced my brake light sensor, wheel position sensor, throttle body, and my drivers side door handle. lol, I should go ahead and buy an intermediate shaft!
My problems, broken 2 door handles, cracked dash in multiple spots, weak door locks, transmission dip stick broke, and my biggest problem was a collapsed lifter which cost about 1,800 to fix
A little late on my comment but i just had this other issue with the brake light switch. My switch had all the other symptoms you mentioned, Cruise, brake lights staying on. What happened in my case was when i was pulling my camper, because the brake light switch would not fully disengage , it made my trailer brakes (electric)not completely disengage because it was still sending power to the brake controller. Dang near had a fire on the trailer brakes.. Hope this helps someone else. Something to keep in mind..
Only 2 issues I have in both my 2011 & 2012 are low beams stopped working. Fuses and relays are good. I've been stumped for awhile now. Than it's oil use. You need to check oil at every fuel up. It'll need 2 qt before an oil change at 5,000 miles. So, I've went back to change oil every 3,000
I have a 2010 with just under 105,000 miles and no issues except the door handle on the driver side is the only thing that broke off during a hard rainy morning but did buy the kit on amazon and replaced it that was 5 years ago now. Now having issues with the radio what's a good replacement for these days and thanks for the video
mine is doing the same thing let me know if you found anyone whose figured this out. ive spent close to 5 grand and no one can seem to fix the actual problem
2012 damn stability track / traction control light lol I just lived with it for the pass 5 years. The door handles outside cheap replaced 2 times 1 is broken right now 🤦♂️ and a broken side door panel from jumping in and out of the truck because I lifted it and refuse to pay for running boards 😅 well with that being said I'm been blessed this truck has never gave me engine problems just recently 2022 the oil light looks like it's going to be just a censor problem 🤞 . So besides the noise 🙄 now for being old its been a trooper.
You forgot to mention the oil pressure sensor sometimes it can be a dirty screen or some times if the motor gets high miles everything loosens up and makes it so the pick up has less oil pressure but it’s an easy fix either clean or replace the screen or do high flow oil filter
My 2009 is going strong. I do need to replace the brake light switch. Occasionally the cruse will not work. I don’t drive the truck on the interstate enough to fix it.
Stay away from 08 and 14, best were 11,12 in that clump of time, they all had afm though. Ways to disengage that nowadays though, leave your truck in fifth gear or plug-in a afm disabler
I have had the door lock actuators go bad twice so far on my 08 gmc the truck is 14 yrs old but only has 61xxx miles. Wheel bearings transmission line rubber to steel connection slight leak.
Yes the avalanche, Tahoe, and suburban suffer the same issues since they’re all the same parts across those models. Power folding mirrors could be electrical (bad switch or bad motor) or physical like if the gears in the hinge are damaged. If somebody has manually forced the mirrors open or closed that is really hard on the gears. that’s what happened to my passenger side mirror somebody folded mine in by hand and busted a tooth off the gear so sometimes it won’t fold, but if you get it start pulling the mirror in manually as you hit the button to fold it will then catch and fold
Well I haven’t had any of these problems, but I have many others. Like water leaking in on the passenger side. I had a new windshield put in so that’s not the problem. I recalked the access panel under the cowling then covered it with Gater seal tape, and it still gets wet inside. The only way I can think of that water might be able to get in is the drain through the flapper under the cowling. I hope I can see how that’s connected by removing the the RF inner wheel well.
I have a 2011 Cheyenne LTZ and haven't had any of these issues. Only issues are mainly excessive oil consumption (common) and cracked dashboard (common). Other than that is a trailer brake controller, a third brake light and a few normal wear items at just over 100k.
so when you say the brake light switch causes the rear lights to stay on does that include reverse lights or is my issue more toward a neutral safety switch problem
@Ben Greever my afm on my truck is disabled since i have a slightly legal ca hp tune to it and my gas mileage has been pretty good tbh. cold air intake made it better too
My grandpas 09 Silverado with 320,000 km on it only has one problem: the gas gauge doesn’t work cause the fuel sending unit needs replacing. But it still runs and drives fine
My truck is a 2008 1500 Silverado 4.3 the biggest thing that has happened to mine is most of the time you don't hear the audible sound of the blinker and two of speakers don't work most of the time but it only has 56,000 miles on it.
What could cause surging light to flicker only some lights and headlights? I have a slight misfire no codes have checked everything and replaced alternator, battery coils and plugs and wires. Also tested injectors all good. I have heard of a bad ground causing this issue just can’t find the problem.
Top problems from a insider.all manufacturers put design flaws into new vehicles to insure they don't last too long and you come back for a new car every 5 years.dirty pool for sure.and most don't last that long.my 2010 mustangs waterpump went out at 33000 miles.and I'm not the only one.and that's not the only flaw.cabin air filter is strategically placed where drain holes easily stop up causing water to come in car and flood Floorplan as well as damage blower fan and electronics.so now I drive a 72 chevy truck and a 66 caprice.restored and no issues of the modern crap their selling.and they get as good mileage as newer vehicles ive had.avoid the new car racket that involves the dealership. The insurance companies with all their stupid commercials that we skip past.the body repair shops and mechanic shops.and parts suppliers are all in bed together against us.all of them.especially in macon ga.criminal fraud on a gigantic level.dont be their victim.
That's so funny I've had the break switch issue throttle body issue wheel bearings. And now I have a rare 02 sensor bank 2 issue. The computer won't turn the heater circuit on. So now I need a computer in order to get inspection sticker. Thank you for the video
my oil and trans cooler lines are trash. always seeping. i am giong to delete the engine oil cooler and maybe get some an fittings and lines for the trans.
What about the oil pressure sensor and the issues with dod? Or the piston skirt issues? Or the oil consumption? I love my silverado but sometimes I wonder why I didn't get a toyota

For everyone, the high oil consumption is actually by design. It’s the Automatic Fuel Management AFM.
My problems: Excess oil consumption. Power everything in the doors is glitchy. Top dashboard cracked in multiple places. Tailgate handles broken.
My oil consumption, at least some of it, I have concluded is that the Valve Stem Seals are bad.

I've a Cheyenne 2013, the problems that i had;
1) it eats a lot of engine oil, like half a quart every month.
+Oliver A. C.P. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
thanks @@prestondyer124, Yes, right now truck is out of service, I'm thinking in buy a "crush Sleeve eliminator" it takes more measurements & adjustment with shimmings to adjust the preload & blacklash, but once done, it won't mess up preload, what kit claims...
cheers from Cancún!
Upgrade the valve cover if this is the model year that needs it. It will cause excessive oil consumption and smoke at startup.
how about lifters? lol, Good video!
+livalittle100 We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1AAuto.com
Disable the cylinder deactivation and you'll probably never have problems with the lifters,or oil consumption issues. There's chips that plug directly into your OBD2 port that achieve this with no modifications.Believe it or not, you'll probably get better mpg if your truck is running on all cylinders.
Often the problem of the lifters is the plastic lifters guide, you need to replace
It looks like lifters are the problem, but the reason is often the plastic lifter guides as the groove wears out and the lifters turn
@@Thundarr995 link to this?
Well after owning 3 Silverado Trucks of this generation I had none of the problems you mentioned. Here's what I encountered. Wheel bearings constantly going, middle leaf springs which GM had a recall bulletin, calipers seized if brake pad linings get below 40%, electrical issues of various complexity. I owned 5.3 trucks and current one has 390,000 kms.I put about 50,000 a year on them.
+steve williams Thanks for the feedback!
What brand of bearings are you putting in??
O o o oriellys auto parts has replacement parts for the Chevy door handles armrest etc.
Engine Lifters going bad and excessive oil consumption should be in top 3
I think that issue is mostly with the '07 to '10 models

My dad's 2012 Sierra got new rings at around 78k because the rings were stuck in the pistons. The cylinder deactivation on those suck. You should run them hard every once and a while ore get a range bypass plugin
My 11 sierra has/had oil issues till I disabled afm, replaced drivers side valve cover, bypass on oil pan and replaced the cracked oil sump o-ring and bully dog tune. Trucks motor is good now
Yep that damn DOD system !
You guys are a great source of information for me w/my 2009silverado ltz and 2016express van! TY!

Rear main oil seal, Tpm sensor, Oil pan gasket
Most of my issues have came from the lower portion, my brakes squeal loudly even though I just replaced them, and my tire pressure sensors of course this all started when I got new wheels and tires
Yeah same here new tire new brakes now I have the noise.

+Jay C Thanks for the feedback!
+Edwina Freeman Thanks for the feedback!
I also purchase to disable “range technology”
I have a 2011 Sierra and the drivers door window switch is funky and every time you turn the truck on or put it in park it says low washer fluid lol. But great truck
Probably a bad sensor for the low washer fluid. Unplug it and see what happens.
I have a previous generation...2006...and you think the Steering Intermediate Shaft would have been remedied.
The cruise issue is likely the brake light switch on the brake pedal.
09 has had 2 of these. Throttle body, and brake switch killed my crude control. Also air bag sensor under the front end.
+James T Griffith We do apologize but we wouldn't be able to look into that.
@James T Griffith the sensor the activates the air bag went bad. I replaced it and the light went off. There's two of them. Under the front end

My '07 passenger airbag was replaced under a recall for free
6) Body will invariably rust directly above the rear wheels.
Remove the rear tail light. Power wash and spray Rust converter in there. You can see it with a flashlight.
Literally every truck
I had all these issues, but my truck has over 600k and still running strong on original 5.3L engine and 6 speed trans.
Miles or km
Nice I have a 13 with 89k miles haven’t had any issues except for g80 failing to unlock and shredded my spider gears
Mines at 160,000 still running perfect other than basic maintenance and of course the oil consumption get a range device to disable afm
How can you do a video on the top problems and completely ignore the biggest problem of all, the AFM DOD lifter failure?
Does seem like an omission. Thankfully the 4.8 doesn't have that system, only the 5.3. I researched before I bought.
@@chevyon37s i have a 14 with almost 89k miles. My knowledge isn't that extensive with vehicles so what are yall talking about? lol

Speakers suck lol
I hear you I bought my 08 Silverado and no Bose system because it was not an LTZ so neither of my front door speakers worked only my rear door ones and the front pillar tweeters worked and I said out with the shitty and saved up and just replaced the entire system completely
Same with my 08 Silverado LS both front door and back driver door speakers go on an off but I found out after I bought my truck that one of the doors was halfway full with water sounded like a water bottle was in my door
Mines a 09 1500 4.8 and it just threw engine power loss and service stabilitrak so now I know what to look at at least thanks for the video

How about the lifters ,low oil pressure ... need to be at 40..
My problems, broken 2 door handles, cracked dash in multiple spots, weak door locks, transmission dip stick broke, and my biggest problem was a collapsed lifter which cost about 1,800 to fix
2011 Silverado LTZ 2500 HD Crew Cab - Haven't had to do one thing to it except elective maintenance.
I had to replace the brake light switch. Now cruise control works great
A little late on my comment but i just had this other issue with the brake light switch.
My '13 Silverado frame rotted away long before any of these problems could happen.
CV joints & Hub bearings went out at 75k miles on 08 Silverado 4 x4 Got a 03 F150 with 280k &still has original CVs & Hub bearings.
Lemme guess the Silverado has a leveling kit on it and/ or was driven around in auto 4WD all the time?

I have a 2010 with just under 105,000 miles and no issues except the door handle on the driver side is the only thing that broke off during a hard rainy morning but did buy the kit on amazon and replaced it that was 5 years ago now. Now having issues with the radio what's a good replacement for these days and thanks for the video
Hey thanks Andy. Glad they are all serviceable
how about service stabi link? or traction control shutting off when idle, and back on and good when driving? 3 shops, none can figure it out.
mine is doing the same thing let me know if you found anyone whose figured this out. ive spent close to 5 grand and no one can seem to fix the actual problem
My favorite generation on Chevrolet & GMC fullsize pickups is the third generation C/K series which were produced from 1973 through 1987.

Lionel here in California. Good info. I assume the 07 Avalanche has the same problems. How about the power folding mirrors not folding?
