this is my second video in a row watching and you've just become my favorite pickleball channel to watch. I just love your style of how you break down things. thanks for this one!
Another great instructional video. Thank you for taking the time to put these together for the benefit of everyone trying to improve their game. Truly one of the best educational Pickleball channels on RUclips. Thanks again. I am enjoying using your drills app
Great serve video, thank you!! I come from 40 years of racquetball which requires drop serve, so that is what comes naturally to me in pickleball. Do you see a big disadvantage to this in pb as far as power goes? I think the main difference is the contact point is lower but I can still work on the same mechanics that you teach. Do you recommend switching to volley serve to get more power or do you think one can develop similar power on drop serve? Thanks!!
I like the tutorial. Thanks! Please post more step by step drills. I am new at PB and without any racquet ball background. I watch this multiple times…
Your trainings are better than enhance, but he has the right video structure. If you study how he does his editing and angles you'll surpass, conner. Thanks for sharing bro.
Great video, you might want to also point out according to the new rules 1) contact point must be below hip and 2) top of paddle at contact must be below the wrist Thx
Hey Austin...I'm a complete newbie, but athletic and do CrossFit. So, I just got a paddle and went to practice serves today. I think that I don't have a problem with the pace, spin, getting the ball in the court with what I was doing. But I was dropping the ball and hitting it off the bounce. When I tried hitting it without the bounce, the serves weren't as good. Should I just keep serving it off the bounce? Does it matter? Thank you!!
In your opinion, is it better in a league to use an an "ace" serve that is maybe less than 50% consistent, or just do an easy serve that's 90% consistent? I'm having a tough time in actual league play with the "ace" serve that's very top spin heavy with lots of pace, but my serve is very consistent when I'm alone hitting balls by myself.
Keep practicing it in pressure filled experiences like league. That’s the only way it will become consistent. Because like you say, it’s consistent when you’re by yourself…. The only difference being PRESSURE. That said, it’s more important to hit the serve in when playing in a serious match. Confidence is key

Well said! I dont see any disadvantage in power as a result of a drop serve. still the same motion!
“Pet the dog” was super helpful and perhaps my missing piece. Thanks for going through all the mechanics. Best video on serving!

Thx
I did mention this. But that hip rule only applies to pros at the PPA. Hope that helps! It’s below waist for the rest of us
Are you using the Vanguard Pro as your new Main?
No. I still love the amped pro the most!
Amazing ❤
Thank you! Cheers!

Yeah keep doing what works best for you! Always a good idea to practice both though cause some tournaments only allow volley serves!
@@pickleballplaybook Okay, great, thanks, I will!
What kind of grip do you use for your serve?
Eastern forehand!

Dig your stuff.
Appreciate it!
Nice
Thanks
I ve solved the problem about backing up after the serve. Before every serve I back up 2 feet behind baseline before the serve
Smart
I see that new paddle 😊
Oh yeah 🤪😮💨🔥
👍🏻
👍
Fast serves come back fast and that may not be what you want. I hit higher slower serves to those that like to hit hard back
Fast serves come back slow so long as you get them deep. That’s why I love drill number 4! 👍
