Halleluiah! Finally, somebody expressing how I've been feeling. I am also a golfer as well as pickleball player, and have found that when I practice my golf shots more like when playing a real game, I do better. In other words, not doing the same shot over and over again. Same with pickleball. For example with practicing drops from the baseline my "cooperative" partner will softly hit to the baseline where I am to allow me to place the ball in the kitchen. I got to thinking about that and as you so well said, that's not real pickleball. Most balls come back hard and deep and dropping a ball under those circumstances is almost impossible if one has never practiced them. Now I don't feel so crazy. Thanks for making me feel more normal, James! LOL Please bring more of your thoughts and expertise to those of us who wish to drill better and get better.
Hi James, love the podcast, always enlightening. A basic shot I struggle hitting consistently is the return of serve. Yea I know, a pretty basic shot, but when not hit well consistently, all sorts of bad things can ensue. Some technique tips and drills would be appreciated. Thanks
Your insights are appreciated! Jimmy, I estimate that you're adding 3 times the miles-per-game with all of the pre-play split step jumping -- Could it be the reason you sometimes get into trouble physically in long matches in the decisive game?
That car is nuts. I test drove the new model 3 performance which is slow in comparison at 2.9 seconds 0-60 and it was insanely fast. Thanks for the tips. Doing the drop, come in and play it out is also a bit of cardio.
We love having you teaching st lifetime
PENN!!! Andy peeke is the best

Hahaha definitely possible! I’ve tried to stop though I don’t think it’s possible. I get static fast and lose focus fast.
@@JamesIgnatowich Maybe try tricking yourself - phasing it out - with knee bends instead of cold turkey ending it. Just a thought. : )
thanks for all the drills........good luck with the new ride!
Thanks Gio! Always appreciate your comments

Thanks for this comment! Yup, car is completely nuts haha.
Welcome to the Tesla club James. Have fun with your new ride!
It’s been awesome so far!
I’m going to practice speeding up across the body. It sounds like a good strategy to practice for a few weeks.
Definitely. Let me know how it goes!
Not drilling coop will mean bending over and chasing the ball a lot lol!
Hahaha true, if you don’t have a big basket of balls!
