loved this ep. i actually just got diagnosed with adhd a year and a half ago at 22 during my freshman year of college. i used to think i was so lazy and dumb because like i'm smart enough to get A's I know that. having an "interest based nervous system" is a symptom of adhd and literally means it is very difficult to act on something im not interested in. so a subject i loved a easy even if it was hard, but easy classes sucked and i would fail. medicine helps a lot but just being aware of this lens instead of me being "dumb and lazy" is so much better and i am happily a decent student with 2 years left.

Playing Yeardle on an episode might help a history segment run a little more smoothly. Yes, it's going to be tough if you don't know any of the historical events, but it adds a little structure so you can at least know if you're getting closer to the correct year.

I remember getting into AP history, “reading” Plato’s republic and literally not understanding any of it. I don’t even think it was English, it was like reading the Bible. Then the tests were four questions only, and asked shit that I don’t even remember being mentioned in what we read lmao. “Upon this, which was said, I too exclaimed, and it was so.” Question: What can we infer about modern banking based off of Glaucon’s statements? What the ffff
I didn’t get the movie History Boys. Like at all. It ended with a guy saying he was a better teacher because he wanted to touch his underage male students. So weird. Such a weird movie and play. Why was it a thing. And it gave us James Cordon.
Jakes physics class experience completely brought me back because mine was identical, 90 year old turtle one year from retirement quietly talking for 1:30 hours about something I was supposed to read about last night, I learned nothing, did enough rewrites on in class exams so that when I got 12% on the final, my average grade was still a clutch 52
