Usually when the owners say that they want to fire them all, I think the problems are with the owner, but I would 100% fire these staff (except Rosie).

Life's problems can truly shake a person up. She should have hired a manager to handle the business and taken time off to grieve and get counseling.

She’s a big softie. She’s lovely and cares so much that hairdressers get the respect they deserve. But it was disgraceful how disrespectful Monique was considering that Tab was there to help improve their lives, constructive criticism nothing else. Tab is from down under and we talk straight but love harder!

This is possibly the only episode where the employees don't change one bit. They are beyond ungrateful for the makeover and have used that poor owner's grief to their advantage.
At least they got better when Tabatha game back

I don't see Tabatha takes over as your regular entertainment reality tv show. I actually watch it for inspiration as a business owner and how to conduct myself at work. Tabatha is a truly inspirational businesswoman and a total powerhouse 💪

In all my 50 years of hairdressing, I've never seen the sort of behaviour I've seen here. Total lack of respect and bullying! Ms " Ratsnest" would be out the door, quick smart!!
Funny on how they complained about there not being any rules or real leadership from the owner. But when she ends up being a leader with rules that's when they complain about her again.

Yup both Tabatha and Nanny McFee are stern, stoic and have a no-nonsense approach….yet once progress is made they show a kinder side & have a heart of gold. Plus they’re never hesitant to give praise when it’s due.

They clearly weren't on her side, the salon looked so much better and they couldn't even be pleased about that. They were just happy to do what they wanted before, they didn't support change because it meant stepping up and doing real work.

The staff have to be some of the worst people I have ever seen on a reality show, ever. They're right up there with the guy who stole his staff tips in one of Gordon Ramsay's shows. Horrid people all around. I hope they took this opportunity to get a harsh look on their attitude and make a change.
They're grown adults though... I work in a salon and it our boss left for a month (we'd be extremely lost!) but we'd do our best to maintain it re cleaning, trying to book clients, order stock etc etc. they want to be babysat and are making excuses for being ferals
It seems she is still grieving and that's a really hard period to process. Even thought she may try, it's very hard to hide your emotions when all you want to do is cry.

Update: The salon actually closed down in 2013. Joy couldn't keep it open anymore because apparently she lost motivation to keep going and her staff got worse and worse.
Oh that's such a shame 😔 I was really hoping that things were going to turn around for her

You can't complain about your staff being lazy or not attentive enough when you haven't ever put a foot down and managed the place 🤔 on the other hand, her staff is terrible and they have no passion nor common sense at all.

I wouldn't really appreciate a woman coming to work every day and wearing a trilby hat indoors! It's odd and not the least bit stylish - especially in a hair salon!
It was the early 2010s, that was very in style. I had just graduated high school and I remember we'd all wear trilby hats as fashion items.

I'm really surprised with this episode. She didn't do any work/activities with the staff to get them to change their perspectives. She mostly tested the staff, so they didn't get much chance to let go and reconnect
Cause she saw right through them and knew they were beyond hope so she didn't want to waste resources on them lol
There was another episode where she didn't do much for the owner and only focused on the team and the owner sold the salon in those 6 weeks before Tabatha came back
Hopefully the pizza and onion rings Tabatha ordered didn't go to waste!😋

The 3 I would sack: Monique, the poor man’s Ali Larter lookalike who very hypocritically trash talked the salons makeover (even though she’s the epitome of garish herself) & either hat-woman-with-dodgy-tan or that dark haired one who says to Tabatha, “I’m a hairdresser! It’s not my job to clean,” when Tabatha does the inspection and points out the dirt under a table.
Cleaning OMG was that woman for real she too old your kidding, definitely not want to go to her house.

I would have walked out on those nasty hairdressers with my son. It will tramatize kids for years making other hair appointments a nightmare for mom, kid, and the next person who has to cut their hair.

It’s a sign of Tabatha’s professionalism that she never seems to think why do I even bother. The lovely makeover of the salon caused one of them to pull a face and start criticising

Good lord a few of these women just need to be fired!! Monique hands down is the biggest issue, Fedora girl and Stacey should go as well. Most of the others were really showcased so its hard to say about them but I think getting rid of these 3 is a great start!
Hilarious that they have the table at the play centre set up with a tablecloth, water in glasses and china plates and cutlery. And they never eat the food.
