Quite impressive how she's managed to get through life acting like that. Luckily my friends are good enough that they would knock some sense into me if I behaved like that!! ❤
Just my impression, she played the victim for the cameras but behind closed doors she is far worse than what we saw. She reminds me of people who own a restaurant and try and lecture customers who complain the food is bad. Put out good service and customers will return. In fact personally, when I find a really good hairstylist I keep her and will follow her to another salon if she changes work places.
I had to laugh when she says she wanted her staff to see what Tabitha showed her. She was the one who pretty much was the only one in the wrong through the whole thing. Only one incident with staff
What that owner did to the woman's hair was appalling. Honestly as soon as I got out I'd go to the shop and just get a dark box dye because that was a mess.
Funny how in the secret camera footage, Debbie was not timid at all. Not even close. But as soon as Tabatha was in the picture, she shrank and became soft and timid. Wow. What a fakeeeee
At this rate, I watch this show to see meltdowns, Tabatha’s shoes (cause slay), workers being given extra training and opportunities and Tabatha’s shoes 😂❤
I am yet again baffled by the insane amount of staff these salons have. A salon that size would probably run on half the staff, or even less, in my country. And efficiently so.
Yeah in my country its the same, a lot less stylists. But here they work for the salon itself, I think in America it is more normal to 'rent' a chair in a salon. Maybe thats why?
23:50 "when you know what an amazing business owner you've been" Sorry, what? Debbie is so bloody frustrating for most of it. It's nice that things seem to have turned around quite a bit by the end
I actually for once like the hairstylists aesthetics/hair the grunge pin up kinda look looks really nice. I also appreciate the black girl rocking her natural hair 😍 anyways Debbie is the definition of Delulu
Oof the more and more I watch this show, working at a salon 💇♂️ looks way more stressful than it looks 😅 especially with *neurotic* owners like Debbie
I have a Certificate II in Hairdressing. Salon Assistant level. I was taught to emulsify with dye on the skin. You wet the hair a little to get a lather and use the hair to scrub the skin to remove the dye.
Debbie will never change. The entire time she sat down with Tabatha and the staff, she kept looking away aggressively and she explodes on the inside. What a pathetic woman.
Did I hear correctly, she said her staff didn’t want to have extra training by watching her! Wasn’t it her clients who absolutely hated their hair. That poor girl with stripes, looked like it had been done by a beginner. How long has she been hairdressing. I think it’s you woman who needs the training. On a different note, some of these girls didn’t look that old, so they must have had the training not that long ago, but the haircuts were not good. I don’t know how many years they do training before going into a salon over there. I think now a days all the staff and managers need to have training days, where they go somewhere or someone comes in to show them. The techniques change so quickly with all the new trends. If you colour and cut hair which looks fantastic, clients will return and tell others. You can also charge more. I had to laugh at the coupons, how on earth was she making any money. I’m surprised she stayed in business, and as for the coloured skin, how embarrassing for the client. She used styling cream as a barrier, how did she not know someone would have a skin reaction to it. Colour remover and barriers are made to be put onto skin, and even then, you need to be careful. She became so flustered when asked how she would remove the colour on the skin, I half expected her to say, I will use bleach. No wonder there are so many RUclips videos of people doing there own hair
" i feel like my girls let me get thrown under the bus" CALLING YOU OUT FOR BEING A SHITTY BOSS AND EXPLAINING YOUR BUISNESS IS FAILING BC YOU WONT TAKE RESPOSNIBILITY, IS NOT THROWING YOU UNDER THE BUS, ITS BEING HONEST
I think the reason the staff don’t like watching Debbie is because she does it wrong & hasn’t kept her own education up to date & she is also condescending to both customers & staff. Also even as Tabitha was leaving she still had on flip flops, that’s showing how much she disrespects Tabitha & all the girls. She feels she is too good for them!
2023 update- touch of elegance is still opened. On google there are mostly great reviews but there are a couple that are really really bad! Looks like all the work is really great. Happy that Deb has changed for the most part.
Debbie is a narcissistic victim. She didn’t take in a solitary word. She shouldn’t be anyone’s boss because she is completely self involved. I hope she see the comments sections on videos like this so be she can see how she comes across to literally anyone and everyone that has to listen to her insanity. She is gross.
Well At LEAST Debbie changed and listened to Tabatha's advice , done away with the coupons , staff happier , she seemed happier , Tabatha was happy , a great episode with some crazy moments , but ultimately Tabatha turned it all around , well done Tabatha & Debbie........❤
33:23 the owner says "it really bothers me" because the ladies are standing around Tabatha, watching her, show the staff new tecniques... I'm so confused. Wouldnt you as an owner want your staff to learn from the best??. But it really bothers you....😧🤯🤷🏼♀️
I’m not a hairdresser, but I’ve obv been having my hair cut for a LOOONNG time. I can’t believe that these hairdressers are using thinning shears!! I haven’t seen them since the seventies. I get long layers in my hair and every single hairdresser uses that ‘vertical’ cutting that Tabitha was showing her. They also ALWAYS spend a lot of time checking back over the hair so it’s even all around (I think Tabitha calls it cross checking) These seem to me to be hairdressing 101?? Hairdressers, isn’t that right?
I asked my hairdresser a couple of months ago, and apparently thinning shears do still have some uses, but they're not really precise enough for how most people want their hair done.
Debbie is passive aggressive. Pegged her from the start as the problem. Hope your talent lifts this salon Tabatha, the girls are yearning. I find this owner scary. Love your passion. CrankyGranny Western Australia
This business owner said herself she doesn't want to be there. The best thing she could've done is put her tools down, step away from service - frankly, out of the salon entirely - and allow that girl with the black hair manage it for her.
One of the earliest things I learnt whilst studying hairdressing was colour removes colour, if you emulsify the dye around the hairline with a small amount of water it can help remove any staining as once you've washed and styled then you're looking at chemical stain removal and scrubbing the skin. As a stylist who has worked as long as Debby there isn't ANY excuse for not knowing that
The salons apply to be on the show, and the production company sends/installs cameras to 'observe' the employees and determine if they're appropriate for the show. Boom, Tabatha turns up and filming begins - hence why the stylists/owners are always so shocked.
They're not really "secret" when someone applies to the show, they get interviewed beforehand, the crew makes it seem they're just observing as the next part of the audition
It's not a secret or actually hidden. They'd have to get all the stylists to sign a waiver to be on TV. The suprise, I'd guess, is whether Tabatha will actually turn up. They probably film a bunch of salons that aren't featured (or they tell the owners that's what they'll do) and say "if you are selected, Tabatha will call at some point at the end of the day"
Something that bugged me was the fact that a salon owner was actually bothered by a world renowned stylist come in and educate her staff. Seriously? Are you jealous?
Spoiler: Debbie immediately went back to her old ways, one year after Tabatha came...And they suddenly relocated the salon...Apparently, she's been evicted out of there for not paying rent and she had multiple court cases going on around that time. Nothing changed.
Five minutes in.. what's with the hairstyles in this place? I'd run a mile if I walked in and the stylists either looked overdone or a mess!! Btw thanks so much for uploading episodes we haven't all seen ten times before ❤❤❤ Oh and Debbie careful what you wish for.. you're dangerously close to being a sociopath already lol 😂
It was the style at the time. I graduated high school the same year this show first came out and I remember alot of women had similar styles at the time
34:30 Debbie reminds me of a Kristen Wiig character the way she answers 😂 uummmmm, I asked her to get me colour block and this is what she brought me so…uuummm, yeah.

"Its really frustrating to me, that Debbie... IS A FUCKWIT".
That made me LOL.
Such an Aussie thing to say! 😂

I can see exactly why you would do that - so would I!
My daughter has her own salon and when she's ever moved her clients have followed her. Difficult to get a good hair stylist sometimes
I had to laugh when she says she wanted her staff to see what Tabitha showed her. She was the one who pretty much was the only one in the wrong through the whole thing. Only one incident with staff
💯
That’s illegal in Australia 🙄
Touch of Arrogance Salon
What that owner did to the woman's hair was appalling. Honestly as soon as I got out I'd go to the shop and just get a dark box dye because that was a mess.
I hope that they offer a Tabatha-approved hairstylist afterwards to do color and/of cut correction when they mess up people’s hair
she made the girl look like a clown, so embarrassing
Tabatha putting the owner in her place was so satisfying
Thank you so much for uploading these episodes! Haven’t seen them before!
Funny how in the secret camera footage, Debbie was not timid at all. Not even close. But as soon as Tabatha was in the picture, she shrank and became soft and timid. Wow. What a fakeeeee
"secret camera" you really do believe this? 😂😂😂
Really secret, following people around :D
AA
I think the secret is whether and when Tabitha/producers are watching
My favourite type of owner delusion is when they say they are an amazing business owner.
This owner does not take any responsibility. She likes to play the victim. Huge red flag that 9 stylists walked out
They walked out and stole before they left!
At this rate, I watch this show to see meltdowns, Tabatha’s shoes (cause slay), workers being given extra training and opportunities and Tabatha’s shoes 😂❤

28:21 I don't mind being critiqued....Yes you do, you really really do!
First time ever in this show Tabatha finds a clean salon. This tells a lot about the staff and their hardwork and dedication to the salon

Great to see new episodes being uploaded that I haven’t seen since they originally aired. Thank you
Debbie is absolutely one of the most delusional owners I've ever seen.
She is delulu personified 😂😂😂
She nasty.
Yes, and that pride of hers… is so misplaced and uncalled for. If I had a boss like her I would run for the hills as fast as I could.. 🙈🤯
Poor Tabatha & the staff are long suffering with Debbie as the owner. Is she mentally stable?
I would say a resounding NO!! 😂❤
Me, sing-songing:" Not really.."😂
Thanks for uploading this series - I haven't seen S3 before. I check every day on your channel to see if there's a new Tabatha!
I died ,when Tabatha called her a fu#$wit ! Because I had just said the same thing in my head 😂
I laughed at Debbie. She thinks education is just her showing tips. Hahah no, sis
Debbie isn’t any better than her staff she needs an education
