I bought an oxygen sensor for my Camry, it was an OEM Denso for about $100 from Rock Auto. I thought that was expensive, but over $300 for one oxygen sensor is outlandish!
Similar story here. I needed a new oxygen sensor for my Dodge Neon. The original had a NTK symbol and part number. Got the EXACT same part as original in a NTK box from Rock Auto. Needless to say, it worked perfectly.
Those old buildings likely have tons of lead and asbestos, so it’d be crazy expensive to tear them down. The ones in Niagra Falls you mentioned were likely torn down before the EPA cared about clean air certs, etc.
One of them "caught on fire" a couple years ago... us locals think someone burned it to the ground for them to build new buildings there.. you can look it up if you want, it happened probably in 2018 or so
Lead paint doesn't need to be removed anymore. You just paint over it or send the painted refuse to the landfill or scrapyard. Asbestos only needs to be kept damp during removal. Some states allow its disposal in landfills. Others require it being sent back to an asbestos strip mine where it's tossed back inside.

The days of auto parts store employees actually knowing anything about cars is over. Blame that on corporate greed. They want to pay the lowest dollar for someone to just type on a computer. I bought a 99 Camry in 2002 that was a lease return. 60,000 miles. After 150,000 the frt sensor code came up. I then found out that the car was a California emissions model and the sensor was $285. I replaced it with a ' normal ' sensor, and drove it till 327000 miles & gave it to my daughter.

My fantasy? Finding out Scotty Kilmer is my neighbor, he see's my 2002 F150 and says "Oh man, this things has all kinds of weird problems doesn't it?" I say "yup, weird ones that are really hard to reach and figure out." and then he goes "Can I fix them all and make videos about it? I'll pay you a couple hundred for each video and of course, the truck will get fixed for free . . ." And then my wife says "I can keep up with you in the bedroom any more. Let hire 2 maids, an upstairs one for you and a downstairs one for me?" An I begrudgingly agree... the end.
I'll take a note on this
"Junk yard special - it's worth the gamble - If it's the right part number!!!"
Junk yard special means they put it their pocket and left the junkyard 😂
@@Mr_pai_pai nice one!
Scotty: “There’s no miracle fluid that can fix everything just by putting it in there”
ALSO Scotty: “If your rear main seal is leaking put some AT-205!! This stuff works miracles!”
You had me at "pink elephant". : )
Scotty's voice at 1:01 LOL. I love this guy!

Ironically, I lived in "Fall River" in 97-98, worked at "Empire Chevrolet".
Why is that ironic?
@@lookingforwhiteprivilege9330 Came to ask the same.
How is that ironic?
The irony.
It's a Hyundai now. You talking near the RMV? I live in swansea 👍
Where EMPIRE used to be is now a CVS and a Denny's .... LOL City is changing ......
@@567Kriss You are Waaaaay OFF ... Take a drive, man ...... Empire Chevrolet was located in the south end (R.I. Ave & Bishop Blvd .... )
My 94 celica with a bad auto trans has been down so long squirrels ate the wiring under the hood. I didn't know this until i jumped it and the wires started smoking real bad, i mean bad. I love the car and have fantasies of driving it with the sunroof open. I think i just talked myself out of selling it. Keep the Faith baby.
Oh my god Scotty I grew up in Fall River and still live close by! I Can't believe you were so close up here in massachusetts! That's insane! You were just here today!
82 Plymouth horizon had an actual light for the oxygen sensor. I had no idea what it meant so I used to joke it that it probably lights up when you drive next to hospitals.
Just left the rubble standing lol
