The pakistani asking him for entry points is a jab at the terrorists who came from Pakistan by boat and surveyed the city of mumbai before they carried out the 26/11 attack.
The #Lota or #mug in the bathroom reference is the first tidbit we identify as a #GoraTrait. We wash, the world just wipes. 🤣 #Rick has been to India, he should have known!! The #Pakistani reference was Indian stereotyping... the Pakistani asks questions and makes notes, perhaps for reporting back to their country or to plan an attack. By the way, we sing the same #HappyBirthday tune here, only, we have a super famous #BollywoodVersion #BaarBaarDinYehAaye, which is in Hindi , which is played at most birthday parties within #HindiSpeaking communities.

In hindi which song has the same tune as the english song? No one. We sing in english. He was told to sing happy b day in their own language. Therefor, we dont have same tune for happy b day. Hope you can UNDERSTAND that.
Ok so about the points that you didn't get, 1. When he referred to the Bangladeshi guy, it was like boasting about the sea-link to the guy, because bangladesh is a very poor country and they don't have good infrastructure vis-a-vis to india. 2. The point about the pakistani guy asking these questions, js a reference to pakistani's being stereo typed as terrorists and when the attack of 26/11 happened the terrorists came by the sea route, so it was kind of making fun of the fact that the pakistani guy is asking all the entry points and police protection, coz they plan to do a terrorist attack...

Actually in India, celebrating Birthday with a cake is something that was not there. It is something that we learned from the West. So, cutting cakes, blowing candles, singing birthday songs was not part of our original way to celebrate. So, basically we did not have a song as such. But there was this one old movie where there was a birthday song, and it was sung by Mohd Rafi. So that one had its own tune, and that was the song that he referred to there. But otherwise, in general, we just sing "Happy Birthday To You" in the same tune in our birthday parties. :D
"How many entry points?" means that the Pakistani guy was trying to understand the ins and outs of the link and how to reach there. When 26/11 terror attacks happened, some of the terrorists came from Pakistan via the Arabin sea in boats( Mumbai is a coastal city). That's why the joke
Most of the people sing the same universal happy birthday song , but some people don't sing this song. They sing "Baar Baar din ye aaye " . Some celebrate birthdays in this universal way and some people don't believe in this cutting cake, blowing off candles n all. Some people don't consider this as their tradition.
We don't hv any happy Birthday song. We wish in english which everyone does but because we don't hv any birthday song in our language the song he sung is from a movie n which became like a our hindi birthday song.
A lot of people are saying that we have the same Happy Birthday song. Yes we do and we sing it in English. We do not have a Happy Birthday song with same tune and Hindi lyrics (with same meaning). If asked to sing Happy Birthday in Hindi, we really have no option but to go "baar baar din aaye"

Korbin, The Happy Birthday/Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye song reference is to a song, sung by legend Mohammed Rafi, from a 1967 spy thriller called Farz (it sounds like "furz" which means Duty). The movie is worth searching out because it spawned a couple of sequels which did even better and brought Indians their own Bond in Agent 116, Gopal Kishan Pandey. Most of the songs are by Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. The song, Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye, is now part of most, if not all, Hindi speaking household cultures, and is sung during everyone's birthday celebrations. A good guess is that it is probably sung at least a billion times a year.
indians say happy birthday in hindi and birthday starts traditionally with morning bath, hawan, chanting of holy mantras, feeding poor and cows and birds and then a feast of great indian food and desserts. All dancing and partying. Singing happy birthday and cakes came with followers of the west and the english.
Poha: it’s most common very easy to make breakfast dish. Pakistani guy was enquiring about security stuff so that he can escape after bombing the bridge. And Indians are not comfortable using tissue after the job. We prefer water. Even if the water is freezing cold😬🤣 The birthday song is from a old Bollywood movie ... otherwise we sing the universal song
Now there are 3 references you missed. 1. First one is the guy from Bangladesh which I also didn't get. 2. The Pakistani guy is noting the security checkpoints to plan a terrorist activity, WHICH WAS A JOKE, NO OFFENCE 3. He said "Where is Pritam when we needed him?" as Pritam is a singer who has a reputation of stealing music from other countries.
I think Zakir stuff will be lost in translation... Lot if his stuff is nuances.... And very Indian small town references. And most of his jokes are based on Hindi wordplay and delivery
Bwahaha! Ok here's a breakdown: 1. Lota or the plastic mug: Indians always wash their bottoms after we poop, we don't use JUST toilet paper. Hence the need for a plastic mug or cup in bathrooms of most western countries because they usually don't have bidets. 2. Bangladesh is generally considered to be way more than a few steps behind India in terms of development, and a lot of Bangladeshis migrate to India for a better life (to put it in a slightly crude and racist way, they're our Mexicans/south americans). So the point is that while other countries wouldn't be impressed by a sea-link bridge, Bangladeshis would be 3. Pakistan: basically he was asking questions that a terrorist would ask (police protection, entry points, sea access, etc) 4. The birthday song he is referring to is from a hindi movie. But during birthdays we usually sing the standard, universal happy birthday song.

While a lot of people here have said that plastic mugs are used to clean up after poo poo, one has to remember that India is not the only country where water is used instead of toilet paper. Those who know English usually sing the same Happy birthday tune that you guys have. Those who don't know english or those who just wanna be funny and different go for a bollywood song for birthday which is quite nice and popular.
I think in India at this point the comedy scene works in terms of which comedy clubs you get to perform at, and also on going viral by uploading a bit on RUclips. At least that's how most comedians seem to get famous.
Nah...there's nothing like the late night talk shows here. They work on their bits and perform it in the various comedy clubs, then upload it on their RUclips channels and that's how they become known to a larger audience. It's all them from start to finish. Most of them started their channels doing skit comedies and that's how the rest of their works came into prominence.

Everybody in India wishing happy birthday does it in the English/universal way. Like that's the norm. But there's a birthday song in an old movie that was very famous and that's the only probably known Hindi language Birthday song but no one actually sings it during birthdays but he had to sing that only cz he was told to sing it in Hindi.
Yes, india too has some popular shows like comedy circus and the great indian laughter challenge and some more of thm..but these two shows are vry popular and does very gud job to find out the best stand-up comedian's from street's..the very popular kapil sharma came frm comedy circus shw
Happy Birthday song is same even in India, bcoz its the same cake cutting thing here.
