      WTF does Alloo ki Sabzi or Baigan ki Sabzi etc mean ? Alloo/Baigan is a vegetable itself so its Potato's Vegetable ? Oh North Indians ! .. Ahh may be its just an non official, routine conversational terms for ease of understanding and got popular by the passage of time, like "Chai Tea" in American 🤔🤔.. (Be Curious, Not Judgmental)

      ​@@kavenseth Sabzi is a broad term here. It is almost like what western people call 'curry'. A more apt comparison would be 'red colour' which doesn't make sense in English at all. Even 'jeans pants', but I have only heard it on net.

    I am from Assam, where tea was first discovered in India in 1823. My state alone produces 55% of India's total tea and 18% of global tea production, so tea is everything for us!

      @@sudiptaadhikary2044 Robert Bruce in 1823 discovered tea plants growing wild in upper Brahmaputra Valley. A tea garden was started by the Government in 1833 in erstwhile Lakhimpur district.

      @@STARK50 Tea was being consumed by the Chinese thousands of years before that so I don't understand how you can claim it was discovered elsewhere. Wild tea might be growing anywhere in the world. It was the Chinese who started consuming it on a mass scale and the British who spread it. Undoubtedly today Indian tea is the finest in the world but no way can we claim it was discovered here.

      Forests and rich and varied ecosystems are destroyed to be converted into monotonous tea plantations in northeast India and western ghats. Very important point missed.

    He missed a very important point, which is the marketing of loose tea powder, which was a byproduct of tea leaf processing. So while the finer crop was exported, the leftovers were made into a powder which was made available to the Indian market. It was essentially the waste product of the tea processing. And because the taste of this powder was not that great, it was essential to add milk and sugar to make it palatable.

    I have been drinking chai since I was 6 years old.
    Literally speaking now I can't spend a day without chai.
    It should be the first thing that I consume in the morning.
    Not to forget the evening tea as well.

    One day without chai there would be a severe headache and I would be able to do any sort of work.

    We do. In my family we have big 'Big' Mugs full of Tea. We make tea twice a day and store them in thermos to drink all day long 😅

    Want to know a fun fact? Tea is part of the agriculture of Bangladesh. I love Chai, especially when it's cold out these days. I love warm drinks.

    at my home we have it twice or thrice(once in morning, afternoon and evening) compulsory , other than this my mom just need an excuse, guest are here: let's make tea, I am getting head ache: make some tea, I am feeling a bit sleepy or not able to sleep( i don't even know how that works, like in both cases): make me a cup of tea, i am feeling tired: tea, I think i am getting cough/cold: tea, etc

    Tea is not a favourite drink for all part of India. In Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh the favourite drink is Coffee. The black tea is favourite in Kerala, Srilanka some places of Tamil Nadu and North Eastern states. Tamil people migrated to Cyelon and Malaysia by British ruler.
    Also Tamils, Gujarat and Bihar peoples migrated to Mauritius, Reunion, South Africa caribean islands and Asian Pacific Islands of British colonies.

    I m probably the only indian who hates chai and loves coffee, but i have to face so much societal judgement and peer pressure for my choices..However,i would still not drink chai..Hopefully ,one day ppl like me would be accepted in this chai addicted nation and nirmal makes a video on the same..
